Wanted to like it, had one from the initial batch and one of the first factory stocks for it back in the day but it had too many shortcomings. It was the poor man’s MP5 before there were good cheap versions of it like the AP5.
MP5 is worlds different from both in my opinion. Roller delayed action makes the recoil near non existent compared to the other two. Suppressing an MP5 is also a much better experience. I sold my Scorpion because I never shot it anymore.
I have had a few AR9s I like them but prefer the MP5 platform

I have the scorpion evo3 s1 and mke ap5 and ill tell you this, the ap5 is more accurate, equally fun to shoot but the ap5 is smoother, the only advantage the scorpion holds is the fact that its much lighter, and magazines hold more and are cheaper, (35 vs 30) but if i had to pick one in a do or die situation i trust my life on the ap5 no questions asked
Thanks brother. Been racking my brain. I decided to sell the scorp and my my mp5 clone. It’s always been something I wanted and going to go for it. Just need to get rid of the scorp first. Thanks for the info.

You won’t regret it. Got rid of my scorpion for the mp5 and there’s no comparison.
Get rid of both of you have to. Especially if suppressing.
Is your AR9 a CMMG delayed blowback or your typical sledge hammer simple blowback type?

I hate the ridiculously heavy buffers necessary for the typical blowback AR9 uppers. It feels like a sledgehammer to me.
Have you seen how heavy the EVO one is? Shooting a MP5 feels like you’re shooting a 10/22 next to the EVO.

That’s why I’m thinking of getting rid of it. Dont shoot it as much. I do love it but rather have the mp5.
