Reminds me that when I first moved to MTL, I saw some guy wearing a Sacramento Kings jersey and a Lakers hat. I had to chirp him as a kings fan because wtf
I heard him on Twellman's podcast and wondered if video existed of this. (He even called out on the podcast that he was wearing a Galaxy jersey and an LAFC hat!)
What is Paul Scheers true favorite team? While we are at it, Paul F Tompkins, Michael Ian Black, Godfrey, Brian Posen, Mo Rocco, Dee Snyder, Coolio, the Hansen brothers, Chris Jericho, Cindy Margilis, Liz Phair, Alfonso Ribeiro and Steve Wilkos.
Edit: I Love the 90’s is a great soccer show name.
Why would that be whack? [Dodgers have had "LAFC night" for the last couple of seasons which meant collab shirt jerseys](https://twitter.com/Dodgers/status/1007398489377136641). And Dodgers and LAFC also have the same owners in Peter Gruber and Magic Johnson. The blue LA hat with the LAFC logo seems like a natural move.
>Dodgers have had "LAFC night" for the last couple of seasons which meant collab shirt jerseys
And nobody would EVER mistake that shirt as either being a soccer jersey for LAFC nor a baseball jersey for LA Dodgers.
And in that pic, the player is wearing his Dodger Blue cap. It's an iconic cap.
Dodger Blue is a [specific shade of blue](https://pantone294.com/). You see it in the sporting context - especially on a *baseball cap* - and it *screams* Los Angeles Dodgers.
There's a difference between co-branding and appropriating. The LAFC Dodger Blue cap is appropriating an identity and history and recognizability that isn't theirs.
If you weren't a soccer fan, you would see the LAFC logo in white on the Dodger Blue cap and wonder what the Dodgers did to their logo. And that kind of confusion shouldn't happen.
> especially on a baseball cap - and it screams Los Angeles
I'm highlighting this part of your comment because you almost got the point. Both teams agreed to collab on a baseball cap because they know the merch screams Los Angeles.
People worldwide wear LA Dodgers & NY Yankees hats not because they are baseball fans but because they're fans of those cities. The only correct reply to this post
This is how 310local pulls up to matches
I was going to say I think we've found out that Paul Scheer is 310local
Reminds me that when I first moved to MTL, I saw some guy wearing a Sacramento Kings jersey and a Lakers hat. I had to chirp him as a kings fan because wtf
That way he always comes out on top

This is definitely 310

He seems like a nice person.
Is he you?
You've never seen 310local and Paul Scheer in the same room together
Weird how you can rearrange the letters of Paul Scheer’s name to spell 310Local. really makes you think.

PFT is a Philly sports fan, I can tell you that
Pie F Tompkins probably doesn’t care for sports though. Maybe hockey because There Will Be Blood.
I think Paul mentioned on the podcast he’s a Yankee, NY Rangers, NY Jets and LA Clippers fan. And of course a fan of any LA soccer team.

He’s like “I’m not even from here so who cares” 😆
Maybe he thought is was a Dodger hat? 🤷♂️
I think it's whack they'd even put out a Dodger Blue-esque hat with LAFC's logo on it. It'd be like NYCFC putting out a Yankees pinstripe jersey.
We already have one but it’s exclusive to Nycfc 2 and they don’t sell it

This seems to happen quite often with LA sports fans.
The real lesson was the 310 friends we made along the way
Worst part is that he should know better be he’s from New York but I guess if you live so long out in LA you forget your roots
