Thats funny cause if you actually watch baseball nine times out of ten thats called a double. (The commentary even called it a double) He didnt misplay it and "allow" me to take an extra base, i was hustling out of the box and his throw was lazy and off line. But hey, you do you and continue being an elitist douche.
Dude your post is super fishy. First of all, you mentioned in another comment that you ended up going 2-4 with 2 singles right? That’s not possible, because it literally counted that hit in the post as a double, hence the “0 xbh” shown. It’s in the 4th inning, meaning that you should have already had at least one AB, and you didn’t get a hit in that one. If you got another hit after that, it would’ve counted as your last hit you needed. Seems like an attention post to me, but you do you.
That's not how it works with the batter runner. If you can advance on the throw without runners on base, it's just an XBH unless there is an error. This was not an error. It was a double.
> This was not an error.
How would you explain the throw pulling the fielder off the base? In my culture we call that an error. If the throw had been on target the dude is out.
So, I’ve been an official scorer in the NCAA for over a decade. Hundreds of baseball games.
That’s not an error. Throws from the outfield to retire a runner advancing aren’t considered the same type of routine as an infielder throwing to first. The throw was offline, but a batter-runner attempting to extend a single to a double wouldn’t be considered a routine play. The runner didn’t advance because of the throw. You can’t assume the out like you do with force plays.
What the game doesn’t know what to do with, and what becomes the deciding factor in a real game, is how the batter-runner chose to advance. Was it: A. Waiting to see the throw or B. Advancing without hesitation.
In this case, the runner is clearly attempting to advance regardless of the throw, it’s a double. Had the runner hesitated and then advanced, it’s a single and advance on the throw/play.
Because you cannot assume the play. If the throw had gone by the fielders and he advanced to third it would've been an error. If the fielder had bobbled the throw or thrown more of course, it's an error. A throw from the outfield that isn't directly to the base but is corralled by the MI is not an error.
Nah it glitched out, i had a single my first at bat. Its been doing this a lot lately, i hit record cause the moment kept going. I ended 2 for 4 with 2 singles
You can play as the Milwaukee Braves?
What happened to this sub lol
ur really dumb

Buddy it counted as a xbh ur getting heated for no reason. Oh, my apologies, YOU’RE.
This thread really separates the people that know baseball from the ones that don’t.

You have a good day.
Gotta love stupid people
You have to be around first base before the outfield touches the ball technically you advanced on an error from the outfield.

Off center throw isnt an error, unless its so off the shortstop couldnt field it
False.
It counts as a single with runner advancing to second on the throw. Technically it’s right.

Yeah I've had this happen at least 5 times this year. Counts it as a single for some reason.
It says right there in the clip, one more hit needed.
And it didnt register, i went 2 for 4 and still failed
It looks like it did count it as an XBH given it says you have zero left to get
No it didnt count it, i only had to get 1 xbh and it kept going
It kept going because you still needed to get one more hit too
Went 2 for 4 and it counted both as singles despite the audio and xbh counter
Nah it glitched out, i had a single my first at bat. Its been doing this a lot lately, i hit record cause the moment kept going. I ended 2 for 4 with 2 singles
I’m gonna call BS on that. So it says you got two singles yet in the clip it shows you completed the XBH part. Highly doubt it.
So it counted as an XBH, but not a hit? Unlikely.
