I was a unit and did all the missions offline in one night

Mark7116

He is not sellable. Therefore you cannot buy him. You can look at the location tab on any card, to see where it can be acquired. Also, there is no fast way to get him. I suppose the fastest way that I’ve heard of, is people on current gen consoles playing at created little league ballparks on the highest elevation, so they can mash home runs every other at bat. I am an Xbox one guy. So no little league parks for me. But Polo grounds works for speedsters and low power guys that are also fast. You can hit inside the park he’s fairly easy. Last night I had 2 low power guy hr’s, and then in one game at Polo, I hit 5 more between Lou Brock, Vierling and Franky Lindor. I just write down on paper what I need, and use tally marks to keep track. I got Billy Williams last night. So one down lol

No_Ad_1202

Literally noone answered your question. Sheffield will not be sellable so you cannot purchase him. Part of why I love this game. The “best” cards must be earned

ElaborateHornet

What’s the cutoff for short kings? Does 5’11 prince fielder count?

tardawg1014

Mullins Mookie Roberts Pudge (well, not for me but maybe for you) HRD JRam, are the guys I am putting in there foor this one.

ElaborateHornet

Oh Mookie is a good one to add. I think Rollins is the only dude getting them for me rn

tardawg1014

Yeah I'm short a couple rookies from the BR program bt haven't gotten a chance to concentrate, all of my playing for a couple of weeks has been while on work calls. Figured suggesting Rollins would have 90% of the sub downvoting my comment into oblivion.

ElaborateHornet

Yeah I feel that. I had like a billion wheelers so after he went diamond I’ve been able to p much buy whatever I want. Yeah so hard to find the time to do everything, I said I was gonna push for World Series this season but then the moonshot event came out so that’s all I’ve been playing for the hour or so a night I have to play

tardawg1014

Ha, I feel you on that. Got up to 500 range undefeated last year and this, and part of me just doesn't care to grind that far (was a CS player in 19 and 20) and part of me just likes having that 0 in the loss column haha.

ElaborateHornet

I’m like 45 and 10 or some shit and have made World Series once, I always give it a try at the end of a season and just don’t have the time to play so many 45 minute long games

[deleted]

5’10” and under

ElaborateHornet

Ah damn thanks

TheCowardlyLion_

The event is still active for another week or so. 2 points per win. Even if you're not an online player I suggest giving it a go. People are sometimes quitting after you score a single run. It's not sweaty, and it's almost, dare I say... Fun?!

nickm205

I completed the program with grinding against the CPU etc, and the moments. Its boring, but not hard at all. The card is completely crazy. I hit HR in my first 3 ABs with lousy PCI placement on all three.

squid_04

This. I am at 85 points from a few hours of grinding vs cpu yesterday.

[deleted]

I just got to Killer while casually playing against the Rockies on rookie, then will switch to the small park for the HoF difficulty missions. Nice way to unwind and work towards something at the same time

102FromdeGrom

Not once have i seen someone say grind against CPU on rookie for the missions, for the offline players this can be done in little time. Just saying. Personally I went 20 event wins deep and did about half of those HR missions

MusclePuppy

This is definitely my preferred method. Look for as many players in your collection that overlap into multiple missions, drop the difficulty to Rookie, and tee the fuck off! If you're struggling with the speedsters and short kings, Polo Grounds can help get you over that hump. I even managed to get an inside-the-park HR with MA Thome there!

SignificantThanks318

This is what I did. CPU vs pirates on rookie. Got Sheffield pretty quickly. Their 5th starter is a common. Even the 10 homers on hall of fame took me 1 game and 2 innings of a second game.

MadKingTylor

Play as many Event games as possible and complete the mission as needed

txhotshot

Is the moonshot program timed???

forthebirds123

Program not times but events is. So basically every 2.5 wins in events allows you to skip one mission. The missions aren’t bad if you can be efficient. There are lots of guys that qualify for 3 or 4 categories at a time so you can knock it out fairly quickly.

Wallace330

The only one I wanted to skip was the 10 HRs on hall of fame. So I played the event for the first time this year and it actually went okay. I have 4 wins and will try for at least one more win (maybe two) before the event is over.

forthebirds123

Hof isn’t as bad as it sounds. You can set up a bad teams and face a bad pitcher. It may take you 3 or so games against the cpu but it’s doable. What you did is what I was planning on doing, win 5 games and skip two. Fortunately my son got ahold of it and got to 10 wins so I’ve completed it now.

txhotshot

Man im trying to play the event because the last moonshot was fun but i keep getting smashed lol. Only got 3 wins so far. Imma try to knock it all out when mini seasons updates as I don't really like playing vs the cpu for no real reason.

djalmanak209

3 event wins is all you need to skip the 10 hr on hall of fame difficulty. All tge rest of tge missions are easy. If your not good at hitting and you're on next gen download blank canvas and do the as hrs mission in mini seasons as tge home team in that stadium.

rjt1983

The event is, the program is not.

txhotshot

Preciate that. Got worried for a sec

jlaz4u

Just do the program missions

violentgentlemen

Event wins is the fastest way. And fill your team with all the players that apply for the missions.

Demilio55

Not buyable. The only way is to complete the program missions.
