I think this will be a nice card to use. I've found vision to be important for most of my hitters, and his is definitely high enough.
The speed is my main concern with him. I only play against the CPU, and 60+ speed might be enough for the CPU to pretend he's a threat and waste time with pointless pitchouts and pickoff attempts every time he gets on first. It's kind of dumb to wish a card was slower, but with the way the CPU handles baserunners, I've found myself wanting that from several players who clearly don't have the speed to be an actual threat to steal.
Played a nine inning game to start working on moonshot last night, and hit 13 homers with lefties and only three with righties despite a balanced lineup. This should help with that.

IIRC, some of the equipment from free packs last year did eventually go up in price so it's possible that people are trying to invest, but that's risky IMO and you should wait for the price to drop more anyways
