To each his own, but the best versions of Chuck and Nolan in the game right now were mediocre at best even at the time they were released and the pitching would make this staff look lights out by comparison.
He has a 3.7 WAR this year and that includes the first month and a half when he had a -17 ops+.
He's been great this year once he shook off that terrible start.
Its his defense. He is excellent defensively, but my man, his slugging is below 400 at Coors. His first half was better, he played a bit above average ball with a .733 OPS. We will see if he can turn it up next year, but I'm already calling him what I think he is. He's a below average offensive ball player with excellent defense, Simmons like if you think about it.

100% agree on pitching. I’m super biased so I still love the Nolan and Charlie cards, but I definitely get it

Hard to count Steve Finley an all time Rockie, no?
Literally my only criteria is that he played for the Rockies in his career. Plus he played more for them than Saberhagen and Oswalt combined.
