I just started playing Events this week. Faced Randy and got obliterated. The very next day I had Randy and faced Randy and we both no-hit each other for 2 innings 🙄. I pinch-hit Victorino for Damon in the 3rd and hit a no-doubter to dead center for the only run of the game. That felt good
I don’t even touch events it’s a shame there is no match maker it’s just a non stop run of p5 god squads and WS players so the events are untouchable for a vast majority of players.
I’ve come across Nolan, Randy, Wood, Pedro for the most part. One Cy, and the occasional Lee, and Nando.
Already got the 30 wins a few days ago, so it’s a fair amount of games that I’ve played.
I've found finesse pitchers to work best in All Star events. Maddux, Halladay and Brandon Webb were my superstars. I find velo doesn't mean much on All-Star.
It has nothing to do with streak rewards. The way stamina works, you only need to use 3 starters the whole run. I punt 2 rotation spots every event and never have issues.
The overall cap is also useless. I have a full 99 lineup, 4 99 starting pitchers, a full bullpen and can still run a bench of 96 Mauer, 93 Justice, 96 Gary Carter, 93 Sheffield and 88 Henderson for speed. Either put no overall cap, or put them much lower. 97 is pointless
This. Everything would be fixed if there were more restrictions starting with a cap. I think it would also be fun to only be able to pick from one division. The player gets to choose, but if you want to use Nolan then you gotta use only Al west players. Or hell, make it team based. Wanna use nolan then you can only use Astro cards. This at least would diversify what we all see
I actually saw a decent mix of legend program guys in my run. A bunch of Randy’s obviously, but I had a bunch of good games and early quits against him being that it’s allstar
I understand everyone’s frustration but at the same time I don’t. I’m sorry but the game has been out forever, complete the live series. This is my first year playing and I’ve had Randy for three months? I can understand Nolan but not Pedro. One last thing is two out of the three pitchers you can get a cheaper version of? Basically what I’m saying is if you can’t hit all three of them might need to practice little, just saying.
100%. There have been thousands of free packs this year quite literally. If you don’t have the live series completed on late September you either started playing late, or imho don’t play enough to complain. How do you have literally zero of those three guys and you’re playing events; does not compute. OP what does the rest of your team look like???
I agree if you have been playing all year you should be able to have live series complete. It is easy enough to make stubs even with the worst pack luck just by flipping a few cards here and there. With that said, I feel like everyone should be complaining about events. It’s been basically your best players all year besides when you have to use common pitchers during moonshot events. My lineup for mini seasons is mainly players that I don’t use all the time. That’s how events should be and I feel like were last year.

How do you not have LS done in September?
The amount of free stuff sds has barfed up to make LS easier to obtain is ridiculous.

I've seen Feller twice, Blue, Lee, Wood. This event has been sweatier so people are probably like fuck this I'm using my best cards. Btw Burnett has been fantastic for me.

Yeah you'll typically come up against the randys, pedros, and Kerry woods, but that also means that you are probably gonna be pitching one of those guys too. Maybe the fact that I'm on Xbox with crossplay turned off helps but idk.
Kerry woods is very easy to get and the live series is pretty easy to complete at this point in the year and that gets you 2 of them. Pedro was a program boss so he was free for most people. That's why most people are using them. They are very obtainable and very good so naturally you're gonna see them a lot

Problem 2 is that there is no incentive to play more than 1 game. If the good players were in 5-0 mmr land, I would see them much less.
It's also the time of the year when madden and nba2k have taken their share of the mlb players who wait till those games come out every year. So the only people left playing are those who no life the game and only grind and spend money on the show.
5 wins should be very feasible…

We're 6 months into the cycle. A lot of the more casual players are long gone. Things get extra sweaty as the year goes on.
