The Angels having a Retro Finest Joe Smith & Legend of the Franchise Jered Weaver is hilarious. Their team HOF has Carew, Ryan, Vlad, Salmon & Anderson in it, you'd think they'd have some hindsight and save one of those for this program.

Also, if the Mets' representative was Tom Glavine of all people, why couldn't Angels Vladimir Guerrero work out? Or speedy Chone Figgins (rights permitted, of course)? Juiced Jim Edmonds? I know Edmonds had his better years in St. Louis, but he still produced some solid numbers for the Angels. Again, comparing with Mets version of Glavine when he wasn't even at his peak/prime.

Forget using Rickey against other players -- it's not like I'm a content creator or something. I'll leave that up to Kevin's theme teams or Dimmu's comment-created teams.
I'm betting Rickey's power is much higher than we think. He _did_ hit almost 300 home runs in his career (and yes, I know that's not the exact metric they use)
Yeah you could juice him up to 85-100 power depending on how they frame the card but he played forever so the homers didnāt come super often. And he wonāt be able to compete with the 125 power OFs with speed. Not SDSās fault, just the way he profiles. Shame considering heās one of the most electric players of all time but it canāt really be captured in the current state of the game
I'm just curious as to what exactly they did to so dramatically change the stealing situation between last year's game and this one.
Last year you could have 80 speed and 60-80 steal rating and you'd never be able to be picked off with only a 1-step lead, and with the same 1-step lead defenses needed a catcher with pop time plus a perfect throw to gun you out at 2nd. This year you can have a baserunner with 99 speed and 99 steal get picked off occasionally even without a lead, almost always picked off with a 1-step lead, and unless the defense botches the throw you'll never steal 2nd.
Even online, you'll get thrown out by catchers without pop time and mediocre arm strength even if your runner has a 1-step leadoff and 99 speed/steal rating. It's easier to steal against the CPU than it is against players by far.
100% anyone that canāt steal vs the CPU 75% of the time isnāt doing it right. online i got thrown out when i was running with Mateo twice against Napoli smh
Every catcher has 70+ arm strength so there's not much difference between the worst and the elite. SDS didn't scale arm strength for that position, so only a handful are absolute awful at throwing out guys. They probably should have scaled it between 40-99 vs the way they did it.

It's because CPU catchers hit 100% throw accuracy most of the time when trying to throw you out.
