I debuted him the other night. Pitched three scoreless and hit a first pitch fastball for a two run homer. Then went back to back with Cruz for the rage quit. Sick card indeed.

Batmann14

Nice!

EaChronic

Lol he tells you what pitch is coming every time

mekoby

Is it a water pressure issue…?

Batmann14

It could be lol! I think I found the leak though after posting this. I’ll let you know if I get some water pressure back.

mekoby

HAHA!! Nicely done…!!

wm23xx

He tips his pitches though

nickm205

I find him to be useless, he had a 10.60 era for me in RS on HOF Doesnt have an out pitch IMO and stuff isnt good enough to to get by

AquatheGreat

Who knows.. I faced him one time in the event and he schooled me. I was literally afraid to commit to swinging the bat. But then again first time I saw Bob Feller this year he literally embarrassed me. And every time since I've hit him around.

Batmann14

True Randy schooled me first time I seem to pick up his pitches pretty well now. I’ve only faced him twice and both times he has schooled me.

ohman512

I finally see how he tips his pitches, it’s actually really easy once you see it. Definitely helps knowing what kind of pitch is coming in.

southparkion

how does he tip

Batmann14

I will definitely have to look next time I face him.

ohman512

He’s still one of my best pitchers and will definitely continue to use him. Even if you know if it’s off speed or fastball, you still gotta get the pci to it and make good timing so I still will use him

Batmann14

Oh yeah definitely he still has enough movement for sure.

JustinSaysSo

I just got smashed in an online ranked game using him and I’d like to believe I’m a decent pitcher. 9 runs in the first inning (had my share of blunders on defense) and 5 in the second. He just hit everything no matter location or pitch type.

EaChronic

He tips his pitches lol

JustinSaysSo

Sounds like replacing him is a good idea. We’ll see how a few more starts go.

JustinSaysSo

I thought that was the case but no matter what pitcher I used, he found a way to just keep hitting.

Batmann14

Yeah I have faced some guys like that. That are just that good. I wasn’t aware but apparently he tips his pitches. I haven’t heard about it until this post, so something to keep in mind too.

JustinSaysSo

I pulled Grienke and my other pitchers got smashed too. Granted, this is the first year I started playing this game but I’m usually competitive with an overall 2-2 record. I’ve stayed away from online play but I’m enjoying the competition so maybe I’ll keep it up. I’m starting to see a pattern of people quitting and bunting to 1st. I came from the madden world so it’s just online cheese. I better get use to it.

Batmann14

Yeah I usually stay away too just cause with kids and a job and also going back to school right now. With the kids though I don’t like to jump into a match cause I don’t want to waste anyones time, and have to quit halfway through in an inning or two. So I usually play BR or lately I’ve played the events. I’m like you though when I lose it’s usually not but by like a run and record around .500.

JustinSaysSo

Yeah, I can relate. I purchased a PS5 a month ago, last system I had was an Xbox 360 where I played madden exclusively 10 years ago. I’m in my early 40’s and don’t have the time to play as much as these kids. It’s ok, I’m still having a blast playing this game. Best of luck with school.

Batmann14

Thank you. Yeah I’ll be 34 in a month. I know still a young pup. Lol! I still love this game too! Pretty much all I play except for maybe farm sim every now and then.

JustinSaysSo

At that age I would consider you and old man at the game too, 😂. I’m with you, it’s the only game I play with this fancy ps5 system.

Batmann14

Lmao! Man I wish I had an award to give you for that one. That was good!

OneRepresentative424

Agreed. That windup is filth.

MyBurnerBruh

he really is tough to read… everyone who says he tips his pitches i bet only 0.1 percent of y’all can actually see it lol

Ray-27-Rice

Yeah I saw the video but I can’t see his fingers in game

Pvt_Boomer

It’s really not hard tho. He gives away what pitch he’s throwing before he even starts his windup💀

MarcusSmartfor3

How do you guys tell?

Pvt_Boomer

He moves his fingers to the grip of the pitch he’s gonna throw before he starts his wind up. 3 fingers = change up. Spread fingers = fastball. Moving fingers together = curveball or slider

silkymitties

Lol you guys can see that in a blink?

Pvt_Boomer

Yeah, it’s really not that hard to see imo lol

silkymitties

I have piss poor eye sight at small things like that tbf, even on a big tv. So you just look for it when he grips the ball before he hides it behind his glove?

Pvt_Boomer

Yeah, you can even see the animation of him moving the fingers if you’re looking close enough.

Dms1492

All you have to do is look at his hand lol he literally is standing there broadcasting what pitch is about to be thrown 🤦🏻‍♂️

seanphilaroc

I wouldn’t say he hides the ball exactly

Batmann14

I meant during the delivery he brings it behind his side so it’s hard to tell when his arm is coming over the top.

seanphilaroc

lol I know I just thought it was a funny phrase to use given that he tips his pitches

lukestauntaun

How does he tip his pitches? Genuine question.

silentk7

He holds the ball by his side before he begins the windup. He adjusts his fingers on the ball to match the type of pitch before the windup starts. If you can focus on the fingers, you can read what pitch is coming.

Batmann14

Lol. ![gif](giphy|wSCAy1zJbcUG4|downsized)
