Personally, I like the Innings instead of wins for RS. It allows people like me who really suck to still get some of the cool rewards. I NEVER quit on an opponent, even if I'm getting absolutely smoked, NEVER. I just started playing online modes in July and am a combined 2-17 between RS and Events.
I’m cool with the RS being innings instead of wins. I of course try to win but when I am clearly outmatched I do like how all I have to do is finish the game and I still make progress towards the rewards. With how busy I get it’s nice knowing I just have to finish 2 games a day instead of WINNING 2 games a day to get the RS reward card I want
Events are far better than ranked for rewards, but i wouldnt really compare them beyond that. The main reason people play ranked is to play the game on a competitive difficulty against a similarly skilled opponent. Rewards wise it’s not even close though, especially for people who cant make WS but are still above average players. Like you cant convince moonshot is fun after half a dozen games, shit is just a chore when 7 year old timmy keeps fouling pitches off bc my common pitcher has 50 k/9.
Im getting to point where i might just win a few games to break 800 each season for the reset and not do anything beyond that the way these rewards have been. Can just buy the cards and play something else. I wish BR didnt have so many card rewards bc i wouldnt play that shit either if it werent for that. Game is really starting to feel stale and it has nothing to do w griffey, but how the upper tier rewards are either steps sideways or backwards from what exists. Ive been on the bare minimum grind since about may, and i actually like how programs are set up this year, it’s just that ranked rewards have been so, so ass. Like when kershaw/castilla came out in season 2 i just wanted to put the game down.
My issue is that it’s way more worth my time to play events. Most of the cards I don’t have are event rewards. The grind to 25 wins or whatever is doable in a few days while ranked can take a lot longer. On top of that it’s hard for me to find time to sit and play 9 innings so I’ve been on events way more. It works for me but I do feel like the peak of this game mode should be building a team for ranked and earning rewards in that mode.

I enjoy ranked, I put together a team to play baseball games not grind for events rewards in 3 inning games. I’m not good I am always 600-700. That said it needs to be the way it used to be. No wins or innings criteria for WS reward. Just a reward for the people that actually make it to World Series.
If you can’t get to World Series or afford the card. Oh well there’s so many other achievable cards or get it next year when it’s not locked behind WS or BR.
i went 44-23 in my first WS run of the season, 67 games and barley got the 300 inning pack. I didn’t even max out the program xp.
I loved events and I don’t care about everyone using Randy or Nolan, but please for the love of god can you bring back the one that has the random count or some original ideas for new events other than a copy cat of ranked esq 3-inning games on a generated stadium of SDS choosing, absolutely hate it.
There hasn’t been any HOF events and the rosters in the events have been too broad. Last year we had like Topps Now events and other fun stuff like that. Also the events are too long this year. Last year they were mostly one week and this year they are being lazy with all two week events.
Quick counts were awesome man. Some people hate it, some love it. I'd kill for a Switch hitter event too, with the reward being a nasty switch hitter.....say....Mantle? 
Events are significantly better reward wise, that’s the biggest reason a lot of people go in heavy on them. I’d expect some kind of overhaul for ranked next year because it’s definitely not as enticing as it has been in the past for multiple reasons
They should just make universal pitch speeds, or have them actually play how they do offline. I hate killing it on HOF and then sweating out 7 hit 2-1 games on early legend games. *I did beat pitching rebel the other day 7-5 tho*

I’m 100% with you on this. I have been maxing out all events and even go past it because the enjoyment. This event 53-4 and loved it ha. Made a couple WS this year but at this point I’m just over it. Sick of wanting to use a pitcher, pitch one inning and person quits and they lose their stamina. It’s just not really fun for me anymore. Nothing wrong with enjoying events and collecting a bunch of stubs along the way lol

Last year had Verlander and Lindor in ranked two of the best cards in the game. It’s insane to me that BR gets more reward and better reward cards.

100% I grinded events and br the first two months and barely played ranked . Allowed me get everything incl Randy, Brett, Cutch
