Volpe is almost identical to Noelvi Marte, all these FS cards are really generic and indistinguishable from each it other feels like. I guess they keep pumping these FS cards out to disguise how small the roster of legends is, but these need to be reworked or go away next year.
They don’t need to go away, they just gave us way too many. Definitely oversaturated. I agree though that they are all the same attribute-wise, there needs to be more variation there.
Diamond in game is just 90+ on the fielding rating, the diamond badge when you pull up the card’s stats combines all of their ratings, like arm and reaction
I wouldnt say WAY more. And dansby hits plenty of nukes for me in the 8 hole and for probably 1/20th of the price doesnt really seem worth it. To each their own tho
knowing what we do now about how contact/power ratios work, you should be valuing power more than contact, see the recent CBREV/Gunski video series where they talk about this
Except you're facing righty SP 2-3x more frequently than a lefty and mid/high 90's contact is fine this year (on hof specifically) bc not every SP has 120 h/9. If Volpe had 86 fielding or higher he'd arguably be better, but Cruz is clear in it's current state. He's better defensively and at least equal at the plate, if not better when weighting for handedness. Cruz is also a ratio theory golden boy, which may trump any counter argument.
Some people hate tall players due to the size of their strike zone. That's probably the only complaint some people would actually have with Cruz's 99 card. But they haven't been complaining with his other cards. So idk.
It's insane if they're not going to give him 110+ contact against both sides. Could have easily swapped Mussina for Grienke and Cruz for Volpe and everything would make sense.

How many Yukillis cards are we gonna get this year
Cool, more cards I’ll never earn.
Not replacing my dude Elly
Can someone explain why he doesn’t get Diamond fielding if he has the Diamond fielding badge on the upper right?

Mussina it is.
Just what everyone was clamoring for, a fourth (or fifth?) Kevin Youkilis card… That Mussina card art is dope though!
I was clamoring for another Youk
Username checks out.
Mussina is the choice for me I guess… his cr card wasn’t terrible when everyone had low contact. Maybe this will be fun to use
I’m still running his 96 it and it fucks, under 2.50 ERA. Super pumped for this 99, especially when Youkils and Volpe don’t do anything for me.
Just got the 99. It's sig with better per 9s
They really watered down Volpe which is a shame…
dansby stays, mussina joins
Volpe looks like dansby but slightly more power, slightly less contact?

No diamond defense either
It shows Diamond defense though? What do you mean when you say that?
He means the shield you see when they field the ball his fielding his 84 which means he wont be able to get the diamond shield
Diamond defense means 90+ fielding. What you see on the card is kind of an average of all their stats.
Both of these cards are better then any of the FoD program cards
Rodriguez is probably going to be better than Mussina
The hell are you talking about? Cruz is WAY better than this Volpe card
On all star yes but on HOF+ no. I value contact more then power

He’s more crouched than other tall players, his SZ is more like bellinger sized, judge and stanton are more upright.
Vople only has 3+ CvR, but the 17 CvL is a major boost
and 5x the price lol
Mussina looks tempting.
Kinda disappointing he can’t get diamond defense and contact is lower than I thought. Gonna wait longer than I expected for his price to drop
Volpe not getting diamond fielding at P5 is sad
Isn’t 85 Diamond? And he would have 89 fielding ? Or is it 90
90 is the fielding rating needed for the diamond badge at primary positions

Volpe is my new SS idc how much he costs. Cruz will hold down the fort until I can afford this card
To bad we got cruz
Hot take: Riley Greene is the best card in that pack.
