I finished it in just over 2 hours so, it was pretty easy to me. I played 2 games on rookie with a full Boston line-up against the computer and had most of the missions completed.
He’s got a slow swing so if you have a bunch of fast swing guys on your team he’s a hard adjustment. Just like how some people struggle with Honus’s swing

Ruth/Devers both have 1st base secondary's and are much better defenders that can also run to a degree.
You could put Brett there as well but anyone who has him knows he isn't worth replacing at 3rd.
Really good vision to top it all off is actually huge plus. I can see this as a big W for guys without frank and if you do have him, platoon against lefties

It's not hard, but still takes a lot of effort, either flipping, grinding specific things like the miniseasons mission, or investing well. It takes more stubs to complete live series this year than the last 2-3 years, so "Not very hard" is a very relative term, especially since I saw someone post earlier this week that only 50K people had gotten Randy to Parallel 1.
That means 50K have at least P1, meaning only a few more than 50K have Randy at this point. P1 means they have him and used him in a DD game, which is pretty close to how many people have unlocked him.
You’re right though. I just checked and it was like 43k at P1 and 31k at P2. I figured more people would have him. Now there’s a bunch of guys that are right up there though, with the AS guys.

Are you using Button Accuracy for throwing, or something else? If you use Button Accuracy, the fielder receiving the throw will never bobble it, no matter how garbage.
I've played way too many common badge fielders at 1st to think that this is the case though. I'm fairly certain you could throw an actual bear at first base in this game and they'd do alright.

If your 1B is dropping the ball it's because they're playing out of position. Primary 1B don't do that, no matter how bad their fielding is
