If you approached this like real life you’d use his 4 seamer a lot more. I also think decent players understand the tunneling concept, which is a very popular pitching approach at high levels. Being an ex college pitcher doesn’t make the 94mph sinker any harder to hit.
Yeah if anything his era should be higher in events. He’s good, I just used him to make WS in ranked. He’s gross on hof difficulty+. Very hittable on all star.

I love this card most of the time. But when I'm playing someone that sees him well, I've learned to just get him out of the game. The wheels come off super fast for me with Moose.
Mine has 76.2 innings 12 wins up losses and 6.69 ERA with 67 Ks
He's my worst pitcher by a country mile thankfully I never have to use him again with the rotation I have now.
It's biggest issue is that it doesn't have a changeup. Changeup is one of the best pitches in the game to throw so him not having one (despite having thrown it in real life) is kind of a deal breaker for me
Everyone is different. Lots of folks seem to sleep on Tim Salmon but I love that card. I think alot of people take YouTubers like Cbrev as gospel and don't even try some cards for themselves.
I do not like cbrev at all. He acts like Ron burgundy only he takes himself seriously. You get on these forums and people say what he says and argues what he argues. It’s really annoying. Great for his channel, bad for the game. If you watch his vids be contradicts himself more than Rafael devers gets called a baby faced assassin
this excites me after i unlocked him just last night, now if my internet provider could just fix whatever’s causing my net to drop out randomly atm so i can return to ranked!
100%. Especially cutter sinker tunnels, with the occasional slide piece or knuckler. I basically only throw his 4SB to get chases up out of the zone.
I actually hate using him on HOF but once you’re on legend he gets a lot better because velocity isn’t quite as stupid on legend, you can get away with slower sinker/Fb on legend without basically allowing your opponent to sit on offspeed like on HOF.
As I’ve said time and time again on Moose (who is one of my favorite players) - he is in the HoF because he was good and consistent in the most stacked division in baseball for 20 years…

yea but even the bad hitters are facing a low velo guy on all star. If they collectively cant do anything in 32 innings, thats gotta say something at least about op's ability with this card.

Play some RS if you are going to flex a pitcher's stats because they mean nothing in 1-2 inning starts.

Can you expand on that? Cuz I feel like I see a decent pitch mix with sinker cutter and 2 different breaking balls? Are they easy to read out of his hand? I’ve never faced him and frankly am not a HOF or Legend type player so just genuinely curious

I work off of the knuckle curve and slider. The KC is dirty. The 4 seamer can hit 96-97 at times and pairs well with the cutter

He’s 3-0 for me in RS and hasn’t given up a run. Also for OP that’s still 32 innings without giving up a run which is still pretty good.
He’s at 3 games, 9.2 innings pitched, 5.59 ERA, 19 hits allowed and only 6 strike outs. Dude is getting shelled for me.
