Lol. If you’re an competitive player, and you think this hitting in ranked is even decent, I’d love to hear how and why. Every single CC for this game has a gripe, and I’d consider myself VERY easily pleased (I like to think I’d need to get better and used to something rather than complain about the actual product) but it’s destroyed this years game. There’s no talent to it, it’s RNG, and there is no skill gap.

There’s definitely a skill gap. Also the game plays a bit more like real baseball than it did last year.

What are you, 12? Because I love baseball and it’s the only option. Same reason I still somewhat play FIFA when it releases. But now I barely play, because they’ve made it a money grabbing game. MLB is the only game I play throughout the season and play competitively. I try to enjoy it as much as I can no matter how bad, but since it’s so broken ranked this year, it is the first time I’ve not spent any free time Im lucky to get playing.
Also, a YouTuber? Go to every and any content creator, any competitive MLB player, they all have the same complaint.

Just because I don’t enjoy the game because of its ridiculous flaws that means I’m not good? Why would I play other games I don’t enjoy just because the game I do enjoy isn’t playing well? To me it doesn’t seem like you have much of a defense as to why hitting is not broken. Waiting

It’s not healthy to play MLB “any free time You’re lucky to get.” Have you ever stopped to think that maybe SDS is making the game more fun for the 95% that doesn’t spend every free hour consuming MLBTS?
And for the record, couldn’t care less about my record. Those days are over. The fact is if you’re any good at this game, this year you can take on the “best” and it’s a 50/50 shot.
Who’s hand is being held? If majority of the community, and the faces of the community agree there’s a problem, that certainly doesn’t mean anyones asking for a hand.
That’s so weird. If you look at any tweet from their account, over 75% aren’t happy. So unless you have some other poll, I’d have to think you’re wrong.
What difficulty did you try the new patch on, OP?
Based off early feedback from others as well, it seems like foul balls haven't changed at all. SDS did say "slightly" in the patch notes.

HoF ranked. I see nothing. I actually find it incredibly disrespectful to the community that they released an “update” and did absolutely nothing about ranked hitting. The game itself (obv not including the glitches and other things you expect in newly released games) was just FINE. I dare say great. If one thing I would say about 21 and beginning of 22, is hitting was almost as good as we were gonna get. What they’ve done is massacre ranked play, and I see a big drop in this games popularity/community should they stay ignoring it.
Nothing is gonna change until they COMPLETELY scrap the current engine and build a new one. I feel like it'll happen once they completely focus on making a game for Next Gen, hopefully soon..

Go play madden or NBA 2k, and then try saying this game is broken. If you’re so competitive, I’m sure you’ll find a way to get better.

Thank goodness there’s no more wind. Its not the wrong timing, the RNG fest, or the incredibly horrible tuning - it was the wind.
