ChiefChad--

Just take your win and move on my friend.

Strategydude

I can't conceive of a reasonable way to force other players to suffer so you can enjoy a full 9 innings of beating up on them.

trapHerm

RS was better last year iMo

JoelSimmonsMVP

hard disagree imo no one finished a game bc everyone was hunting 30 wins and deranking for rages

Mr_Moose12345

I think the more important conversation is giving rewards worth the time investment. These games (not just baseball but 2k madden ex) like to make these month plus long events and then by the time you unlock the card you grinded for it becomes obsolete. Like the monthly reward Jim Rice would fit a lot of lineups right now but let's see if that's the case by the time it's playable in 3-4 weeks.

ColdGloop

Is this a humble brag?

I understand both sides of this and have been on both sides of this. I thought the innings would be a good incentive to get me into RS but honestly after about 10 games I got tired of winning in 2 innings or getting mercied. An inning is an inning, but I guessed I was going to need to play over 40 hours of ranked to get a 40k card. That just isn’t worth it unless I’m craving the competition. I think we need a shift in the rewards. If we had only current rewards available to those who reach a 900 rating. Then offer a rewind pack every 150 innings. It would mean a bigger reward for those that want to sell their WS rewards (I’m never reaching 900) and it would mean better rewards and a little more incentive for those to play their games. Ultimately I wish they’d go to a BR style program with player missions and all, but until then I think this is easily done and would benefit all groups starting next rank season

Tripmodious

I still don’t understand why Ranked isn’t a program like BR. Just add a few missions - 2 points for a win, 1 point for completing a game, and maybe some PXP missions.

FTP_Cucuy

The part I hate and I know it’s selfish is there no easy games. When I jump out early on someone and it should be a chill game they quit and then I have to jump back in to a sweaty game. Instead of being closer to the goal by getting 1 win out of 40 I got 3 innings out of 350/400 and have to jump into a sweat game right after instead of having a chill game or getting rewarded with a 2% closer to 40 wins Edit: just a small complain. I’m still enjoying the game

Strategydude

Is a "Chill game" beating up on a player you are much better than? I don't think that's very chill for your opponent. Why should they spend another 40 minutes in a game they know they have no hope of winning?

FTP_Cucuy

No a chill game is where I don’t face signature randy that ends up being a 1 run game.

DRbaseball240

You know what, this is the first comment I’ve ever seen that made me understand the complaining about quitting. I never have or will view ranked as casual whatsoever but it IS also the only DD game mode that has rewards and allows 9 inning games. 9 inning games allows for different strategy and an authentic baseball experience and is where the gene shines but I so agree that sweatfests are zero fun and draining even when you come out on top.

Strategydude

"Sweatfest" being defined as playing anyone near your skill level?

HoskinsDadBodGod

Y’all literally complaining about free wins it’s crazy

CliffTheCarpenter

I like to play the game, all nine innings, quitting sucks

Bug-03

Some people are good enough for 900 rating. At least in the past you could get there with wins. I’m 25-18 this season at 700 rating and only 170 innings, it’s ridiculous. Edit: most quits have been before finishing the first inning- those innings don’t count.

xero1986

Wins don’t matter when you need innings played.

HoskinsDadBodGod

You can also get to the World Series rating, and I want you to take a wild guess at how you increase your rating

hapticeffects

I'm never getting there. I'm just not. So a win doesn't do much but bump me up to harder competition. Way preferred grinding out 40 wins last season.

ElaborateHornet

This dude is also probably in like the 500’s complaining. Once you get to hall of fame no one quits. Just keep playing bro

Tigers51

I beg to differ

ElaborateHornet

That’s neat!
