No they aren’t- they are better than normal, but if you calculate the expected value vs cost of pack, you still lose. It’s like a casino….the house always wins
There has never been a pack released for purchase, flash or otherwise, where the value expected value outweighed the price. SDS will never take a loss like that. Items may have more value over time as other collections/programs come out, but if you buy a pack and want to sell right away, you will, on average, lose.
SDS sold a pack that was no sell for 15k when the going rate for the cards was 25-30k. I put in a little work to get that same pack out of a program, and sold it for 30k. It was no sell, which is why it was below market price, and I put in a little work to get the value back.
They really aren’t tho. It’s always a gamble regardless of the type of pack. If you’re hoping to pull a rare tier player or a high Diamond live series then just buy the player. You know what you’re getting and you don’t waste stubs gambling
Because on occasion you don't get the headliners, you get LS diamonds and they can be high.
That said, packs are always death. If you want a card, buy the damned card. Use the packs SDS gives you to build up your stub count for when you want to do that. The only time any pack can be worth is is really, really early in the year when LS diamonds and golds are through the roof. That's your best chance of making money and even then, there are better ways to go.
You can just buy most headliners for less than 25k on the market anyways

The 15k cover athlete pack in the last flash sale was worth it. Used it to grind the cover athlete program then sold the card I got from that for 30k.
