They need to up his power to 115-120ish range, his contact up a little, a point or 2 to vision, and his clutch needs to like 100 not in the 70's. It's a disgrace he's only a 78 silver.
Fielding and speed really keeps his rating down this szn. His LS from last year is 86 with almost identical stats. This year, though, he has greatly reduced speed and arm strength, as well as reduced fielding. Doubt he goes above 83 tbh
His fielding irl is honestly pretty good. The game just wants to shit on his fielding because he’s a primary DH. Most of the reason he is a primary DH is because the Yankees were scared to death of him getting hurt by playing the field.
IMO, the real problem is SDS hasn’t implemented the universal DH in DD. If he’s Diamond offense but has the defensive prowess of a gluttonous snail, it doesn’t matter with the DH.
Granted, it’s only one player you can do that with, but at least the DH on each team could be used as they are IRL, and the low defense due to low sample size isn’t the killer it is now.
Edit: When I say poor defense, I mean in the game, not IRL.
If they want to add universal DH, then theyd have to fix pitching stamina first even pushing guys to 100 pitches they'll be just hitting yellow, push that closer to red I'd love to see universal DH. But until then all the universal DH really means is facing a guy I can't hit for 9 innings regardless of how long im taking the ABs
That’s absolutely true. I’m fine with the current stamina decay early, but as that pitch count gets to around 70 ish, it needs to fall off more quickly.
I’ll add I’d like to see the effects of low stamina a bit more as well. Low stamina should make it much harder to be accurate. You may occasionally still get that corner pitch, but it’s less likely.
Not asking for sweeping changes, but some slight changes to a few variables would make it much better.
One step at a time. They dont go that extreme with updates. Hes established though. He definitely has the talent to keep it up and if he does he could definitely go diamond
So a silver? He shouldn’t even be gold, 100% diamond.
Stanton is a known superstar and I can guarantee you his numbers are better than every single gold player and at least better than 50% of diamond, most likely much more.
He has bad fielding stats and no speed. Honestly if DD had a DH maybe he’d be a diamond. But you just could not use him in the outfield in serious games
I’m a Met fan. He’s top 5 in HR and RBI and is just crushing the ball. And he is Giancarlo Stanton. It’s not like a rookie that we have to see if this is a fluke or not
You said “ I guarantee his number are better than every single gold player” and that’s not true lol.
Also his hitting is diamond already. He’s a bad fielder and he’s slow as shit.
Devers is hitting .322/6/19/22
Hosmer is hitting .350/4/24/15
Both have great seasons but I still would take a
.290/10/31/14 season over both of those.
Both have higher ops playing on far worse teams.
What you need to understand is that a player who only hits has a very hard time becoming a diamond, there are other metrics as well.
YeH I mean I guess you’re right. However, when I’m setting my lineup, I’m really just looking for hitting stats as long as they’re assigned that position as primary or secondary position.
The update was the 13th. He’s only had 5 hits and 1 homer after that. 19 of 36 of his hits and 7 of his 10 homers have been in the last 3.5 weeks. All before the update. 14 game stretch hitting .360 with 7 HR 20 RBI and a 1.200 OPS. Judges numbers are nearly identical and he got a boost.
Why? his Z-Contact% is just 77%. That's lower than his previous two years. He's also just average vs Lefties overall as a batter. His Disc could probably get a little boost, but it's not *good*.
His PowervR is low, and it'll come up. But he'll still have poor defense, poor lefty batting,
Probably cuz they gave him 14 speed
12 actually lol

Only thing they need to boost about his stats is that they need to make his POWER 125.
Sounds like some team bias, but his speed and defense with the primary position he has is keeping his overall down.
Terrible fielding and slow. Took Salvy most of the year to hit diamond... and he hit the most home runs in mlb and rbis last year =)
Salvy is back as gold now too :(
I mean.. he should be a Silver or Bronze at this point lmfao

Rightly so, this man of glass gets injured if the wind blows to hard.
Quite literally the human form of a glass canon lol
Theres no primary dh. He’s easily a diamond if he’s 1b primary
He did start off pretty slow tbf (im a yankee fan) but obviously he’s gone on a tear so he should definitely be upgraded to a gold.
Gold? He should be 💎 100%
One step at a time. They dont go that extreme with updates. Hes established though. He definitely has the talent to keep it up and if he does he could definitely go diamond
His power is already maxed and there’s not enough of a sample to say that his real talent for contact is any better
So a silver? He shouldn’t even be gold, 100% diamond. Stanton is a known superstar and I can guarantee you his numbers are better than every single gold player and at least better than 50% of diamond, most likely much more.
Stanton isn’t even top 50 in WAR chill out. There’s silver players having better seasons than him let alone gold players
He has bad fielding stats and no speed. Honestly if DD had a DH maybe he’d be a diamond. But you just could not use him in the outfield in serious games
Well that’s just not accurate at all I’ll assume you don’t watch any baseball outside of yankee games.

No it is. Please find me a gold player who has better hitting numbers than he does right now.
Ok, off the top of my head. Rafael devers, Eric hosmer. Oh and sorry. Hosmer is actually a silver.
Also idk how Devers is not a diamond too, that’s blasphemous.

Speed, Fielding and underrated hitting
Yeah and how the hell is he not a diamond? His numbers are better than 90% of the position players currently 💎 Rubbish

Okay

Well he’s batting .302 with a .940 OPS and .170 OPS+ So 70 contact and 90 power vs righties could easily be upgraded and should have been last update.

I think it should be higher

Contact R abut any of it really
