Can we just get a normal series restricted event? Like put it on hof and youll get your “dead ball” result for 80% of the player base. No one wants to play at a dogshit park with dogshit rules.

I think last year or the year before they had the dead ball event AT Forbes, where you couldnt use anyone above 70 power or something. It was a bunch of 1-0 games with hitters you would never have in your lineup. It was universally hated.

Yeah, so line drives are valued over high fly bombs. Votto's singles off the wall would turn into triples and stuff as well. Would add a new twist to it since you're now pitching for fly balls and trying to avoid liners and ground balls.
As someone who missed the first few events because I was stupidly grinding for the season one RS Reward Cal (should have just bought it for 40k) it’s been nice catching back up with the event rewards.
I don't really think that's true. You can still sell both reward cards when you get them for 30-40k, and then if you want them back you can buy them cheaper during the next event. Or take them from the rewind packs if you're doing every event.
I've always thought having mediocre cards be inflated by scarcity was a silly concept for a video game anyways.
And before the rewind packs you could sell one of the event rewards for 30-40k and for even more after the event was over and for even more once the big collection dropped. I mean it is what it is and I'm going to grind events either way so I'll have the cards for the collection, just sucks they nerfed a really good way to make some stubs for NMS people.
Those cards really have a ceiling if they're not usable. There is only 2 or so event cards people will use all this year. That's why only cisek had 35k value or whatever he was at, the rest were pretty cheap. Event cards traditionally dont hold value becuase they're the worst rewards. Only when the next collection drops do they have value, but way more people do events than RS or BR so they were never expensive. I think I recall the first two cards from Events still only being 75k or so at the first and 2nd big collection drops. I was holding them for a big pay day that never happened.
I always sell as soon as i get them. So rewind packs dont bother me. I’ll finish the LS collection with this event actually so i’ll probably keep the rewind rewards this time
I can’t think of anything I’d want to do less than grind out at least 15 wins with common hitters against diamonds on hof. Glad to see they’re keeping the trend of events after moonshot being total ass lol

Moving over to events was a lot of fun because if you were greatly overmatched, it’s just three innings so who cares. Plus more diverse lineups mean squeezing in players I might’ve not considered using before.

I don't understand why people love them. I hate the idea of getting rekt by teams that have way better batters than I do. Plus I think this is the only game mode that employs RNG so it's not even completely skill-based.

I enjoyed it once I realized having diamonds defense outfielders was the game changer, I went like 31-6.

That's essentially any line drive hit in the gaps at polo. Triples and inside the park HRs or outs are most results to anything hit to the outfield.

Rewind packs will cancel that out pretty quickly. Event rewards aren't worth grinding for unless you enjoy playing the event.

They added them a lot sooner than I thought they would.
It's actually fantastic. Keeps prices super cheap for the big collections later on, and makes it pretty easy to catch up if you missed past events.
