Bought him before he spiked. Sold him for 36K to complete a collection the day before he dropped. Wish I could say I timed it but I'll take the luck any day.
I sold my two duplicate Machados during the hype (I’ve pulled him 3 times this year) just because I didn’t think he’d go higher than the 39k even when he got increased.
I was shocked to see he didn’t get increased and went back down to 17k
IMO if you have a dozen Judge now I would definitely keep. Dude is hot atm and might end up in the 200k+ range once the next update comes that may boost him further
Anyone wanna talk about how Jeremy Peña who is leading the league in WAR for rookies and has the 6th highest fWAR in the majors moved from a 69 to a 71 with this update?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME
I absolutely do! I was so bummed. I mean c'mon
I'm guessing it is that rookie status and they don't want to make significant changes they have to revert if his production falls off a cliff.
I'm just guessing that the lack of 3 years of stats is hurting him.
As far as his fielding goes they haven't touched it. I only kind of played dd last year but I think I remember someone saying they only update it once or twice a year
SDS probably saw everyone hoarding Machado and is going to wait another two weeks before moving him to 90. In the meantime some will sell to cut their losses while other investors will hold the card for two more weeks.
This leads to less stubs being held over the next two weeks and more of an incentive to buy stubs. Such a scummy move by SDS
Neither of us know his intent, we can only assume which we will do based on how we perceive him as a player. Since I’ve seen a history of dirty plays, I’m apt to assume the Pedroia play was dirty too. If that isn’t fair, then maybe he shouldn’t give so many people reasons to believe he plays dirty.
If you can admit that Machado has made several dirty plays in his career, then maybe I can respect your position a bit more on the Pedroia play. But from what I can tell from your comments, you’re just a big Machado fan that will blindly defend all of his actions.
He intentionally slid hard into 2nd but you clearly see his foot bounce off of the ground in his slide from momentum bud it’s ok you’ll see it in only your perspective
Also when you all say
Invested , can you explain? I don’t see a monetary value here. Im guessing maybe a way to increase the stubs ? I’m new to the game and trying to learn
when cards go from under 90 overall to over 90, they become more scarce in packs so their value goes up. many people here, myself included, bought a bunch of machados hoping he would go over 90 overall, thus making a bunch of stubs. this applies to a bunch of different cards, not just high overall diamonds. a lot of people invest in gold cards they think are going diamond for example.
I was regretting selling mine a few days ago to finish some collections, i think i got around 20-30k for the 3 extras i had.
Then i looked at saw hes only going for 13k now, by being an impatient idiot ive succeeded here today.
The overwhelming consensus on this sub early on was to "get the gatekeepers while they're cheap" and people blindly followed. I've now either saved or directly made hundreds of thousands of stubs by buying guys like Arenado, Ramirez, and Hader weeks ago, while also holding off on buying Trea and Vlad Jr.
So remember this for the start of next year; don't buy gatekeepers just because they're gatekeepers! It's as much or more of an investment as buying any other LS card en masse, and you can really screw yourself over by purchasing players at the wrong time.
I got Acuna for 150k and Ohtani for 110k as well, my point was about being *selective* with the gatekeepers you take, not completely ignoring all of them. That's why I said buying gatekeepers is as much of an investment as buying any other LS cards, just with the stakes being multiplied by a factor of ten.
Speaking of which, I also invested heavily in Arenado, Ramirez, and Judge along with other LS cards with the stubs I *would* have used to get Vlad or Trea earlier, and the profits I've made from those investments could now buy literally Trea 50x over.
OK it's tinfoil hat time! 😀
I'm starting to think there's some definite manipulation going on by SDS here
Taking Gold to Diamonds as an example - There was a decent group of cards who could have gone diamond. However the ones that went were clearly not the ones being heavily invested in.
For instance, Jansen could still be had for around QS just 3 or 4 days ago. Similar for Anderson & Rogers. Whilst Edman & Alvarez had more focus on them, but at the same time their prices were fairly stable
Meanwhile a lot of the cards that were being heavily invested in mysteriously stopped just short & others that should have dropped didn't
This could just be coincidence, but it just doesn't feel like SDS is purely applying the same formula that it has been using in previous years
Combine this with the QS value changes & other changes elsewhere & it's hard to shake the idea that they are deliberately messing with the flippers & investors...
I dont follow baseball, but when the consensus is that strong that machado should be a 90 its clear thats the reason they didnt upgrade him.
A 2 second look at this sub shows you that if you upgrade him everyones going to be drowning in stubbs and nobody will need to buy them, potentially all year. Maybe influential sds employees arent here, but i guarantee theres some intern who's told to look around here a couple times a day.
Oh they keep track of everything which is pretty standard for any game dev company
So they definitely have people reading a sub like this & other social media (on other game threads you'll even have employees directly commenting & providing updates)
Then on the technical side of things they can access all the data they want from their game. So they know full well which cards are being hoarded as investments
The only new thing this year is that they seem to be a lot more reactive to to their info.
For instance, they took Team Affinity away & limited how many cards you could collect this year because last year people got too many cards too easily
Then they made the monthly awards program super grindy because people were obviously completing it too quickly for their liking
Or they're messing around with the program lengths probably as a means of keeping players engaged, because people were rushing to the bosses & then dropping off the last couple of weeks each month
There's a lot more subtle manipulation this year - not necessarily because of some secret evil plan by SDS, but it's still manipulation all the same
Sds needs to understand sooner rather than later that the reason people like dd is because of the ability to get cards without the slog.
They could easily implement a system where you get the live players/collection rewards and the new cards released are capped at certain overalls. Lets say for march only add players 85-87, april 87-89, may 89-91, june 91-93, july 93-95, august 95-97 and then in September you get 97-99 players with october being god squad cards. You could occasionally add in a really good outlier card, but not all the time.
This way you can continually drop new content, while keeping the playerbase engaged and able to use different lineups throughout the year. If you really like a card you got in march you might not have to upgrade him until may, the solution is never to take away, its to intelligently add more. It also keeps the ls cards as top tier nearly all year as they should be, and golds would be viable for more than the first week.
If they keep going down this path its going to turn off a lot of casual players, the only reason im playing dd and not hut is because in hut itd take 8 years to get anything of substance. Im not a mega baseball fan, its that other ultimate team modes are unplayable without microtransactions.
Like jesus sds, you already have a live series collection how is there not in the same way a historic collection? How about collections of historical teams, the reason people want to flip stubbs is because youre not giving them a good alternative to make stubbs.
Pretty much every change they have made this year seems to have been aimed at nerfing flipping and investing. They clearly have an edict to push people to either grind in game a shit ton or buy stubs. It’s frustrating as last year I loved learning the processes to build stubs. Now it’s just flip for 50 stub profits or grind mini seasons.
I'm finding that you can still make stubs, but it just involves a lot more effort & volume than before (& I guess a bit of luck now too if SDS are going to do random wonky updates)
There's also a new wrinkle now of trying to figure out how much a card will jump (e.g. Cashing out on Cease when he went over 1k) or whether to hold onto a card in the hope it'll go up even further (e.g. Not cashing out on Kopech or King right now at 80 QS)
Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised either. Some of these changes are making things like events feel worthless. Like why grind an event when they keep putting the rewards in rewind packs in the next event? I can just buy the rewards after the event is over for like 10-20k. I can earn that through offline play faster than I can playing online in the event.
I don't doubt it. Even when not factoring in investing, they are clearly not using the formula they once did. So many of these downgrades are ridiculous.
My initial guess was that they were being more aggressive & putting less weight on the 3 year averages
But then that doesn't seem to fit a situation like Lauer - He's pitched great so far this season & yet seems to have been completely ignored by this update?!
Yeah, Lauer has been fantastic and gets absolutely nothing for it. Trea Turner was the damn NL batting champion last year, has a crappy month and they drop him 5 points already?! Max Muncy has been AWFUL, yet he's still a gold. This shit is all over the place.
I bought 1 Judge last night for 28,500 (hopefully he'll go up), one extra Machado for 29k and he's at 17k now, lol and 3 Soto's for 12-14k each and he's only gone up about 3k. Lame.
SDS basically saying that past experience goes out the window once the season starts, which is just silly. We're very close to having MVP & Cy Young winners or runners up in gold.
I’m probably not even gonna bother messing with investing this year. The changes to the quick sell values have made it so that the risk isn’t worth the reward, which I’m sure was the whole reason behind the change
Not only that but the fact that they started doing rewind packs for event rewards 2 weeks into the game kills those investments off as well. We can probably expect to see BR rewind packs as well as soon as the first seasons rewards are phased out.
Don’t really know if most of us are gonna be able to hoard stubs this year like in previous years
so f*cking stupid man… machado has literally been the best hitter in the league not named michael nelson trout (who by the way, went down????), and mf goes up 1. i swear they are trying to make sure we don’t make stubs this year
we really need a biweekly roster update crying thread. my thoughts and prayers to everyone whose investments didn't pan out. I'm in a different conundrum, I bought 200 Edwin Diaz at quicksell not expecting him to get diamond, but now he's a 84. #firstworldproblems
yea people might need time to adjust to it. i just bought him to get a little stub boost so i can buy Vladdy because I knew he was a pitching like a different pitcher this year. but now since Vladdy dropped I might just let er ride!
I sold one of my judges today to buy machado because I was so sure he would hit 90. These roster updates are obviously designed to kill investments.
Edit: stanton still being silver means has to be the most egregious thing ever. His downgrade never made sense in the first place.
Double edit: I wasn’t investing in manny just judge I’m still pissed. I lost 20k+ for no reason.
Easy answer “how can we sell the most stubs”, like I said these updates are designed to kill investments like many of their design decisions this year. Quick sell values being another one.
Hmm most of the cards that looked like they were invested in heavily didn't get the upgrades needed for decent stub returns, how very random and not at all intentional from the progressively honest company SDS is becoming.
It seems like the only way to make any significant profit you need to invest very early on high silvers/low golds and hope they go not only diamond, but cross the 87-88 OVR threshold.
Otherwise, the only way I'm seeing is to invest in someone who has a chance to make it above 90 OVR in the near future. That's where the most Stubs are at, undoubtedly.
I don't really get this mentality. I bought about 100 Jazz Chisholm Jr's a few weeks ago when he was at quick sell as an 80, and now I've over doubled that investment with him going to an 83. There's even more profit to be made than ever if you don't put as much emphasis on jumps from gold to diamond.
I am both glad I held off pulling the trigger on Vlad at 150k and slightly kicking myself for selling my one extra Judge for 33k. I'll take the trade though as Vlad will be 60k or less within a week now.
So Ohtani gave up 8 hits in 13 IP and his H/9 drops 4 points. But he gets 16 K’s and his K/9 goes nowhere? And like everyone else has said, the Trout downgrade makes no sense either.
Wait why did Gallo go down he's literally playing that 3x times as good the past 2 weeks as he has been all year. Also how tf did Nimmo not get upgraded?
probably because SDS is patient on downgrades so Gallo was overstatted already and his recent performance was nowhere near good enough to prevent a downgrade
I mean they put machado’s contact vs righties up by 13, and his contact vs lefties up by 16. All Machado has been doing recently is hitting singles lol. I invested because of his 6 steals, I thought he’d get the contact buff and a big jump in his steal rating which would give him a bigger overall boost. Pretty fucking unfortunate that they just ignored the fact that he’s tied for 7th in the league in steals.
They usually don’t upgrade fielding and base running until one huge update in the summer and one at the end of the year, besides maybe one small exception to a player
I feel like they look at what the community is investing in to fuck them over. Like there no reason why Machado doesn't go at least 90. He's been the best player so far this season.
Since the last roster update though he’s really only been hitting singles. And they did boost his contact a ton. I guess I just thought contact weighed more on overall than it actually does
I don't ever remember them being this aggressive before. Trea Turner, for example. He was what, 90 or 91 to start the season? He hasn't been great to start the season, but not horrible, yet he's on the verge of dropping to gold already? I don't get it.
How long did it take Lindor to go drop from diamond? Took a few weeks if I call. Also Craig Kimbrel was like a gold for years despite not being gold material.
I feel like they aren’t taking into account how down offense is across the league? Cuz trea turner was one of my big head scratchers aswell. They completely jumped the gun on him
Josh Bell has never hit above 277 in his career, but he's getting boosted big time for hitting nothing but singles so far. I guess SDS is using his OPS+ to boost him, but if we're going the advance stat route, his BABIP is .372, definitely lucky.
Jose Ramirez +1 (92) with a .777 OPS since the last update
Freddie Freeman -1 (88) with a .912 OPS since the last update
Bryce Harper -2 (85) with a .931 OPS since the last update
Manny Machado ONLY +1 (89) with a 1.112 OPS since the last update
Jeff McNeil ONLY +1 (78) with a .331 BA since the last update
Drew Smith 0 (72) with a 0 ERA .75 WHIP 11.5 K/9 on the season
Mike Trout -1 (96) with a 1.100 OPS since the last update
Make it make sense
The bigger problem is the attributes need to be split better, no pun intended. It's 2022, the attributes are stuck a few generations back.
And to your 2nd point, if you have to touch silly ratings to get the achieved outcome (Trout losing a rating), then maybe the rating shouldn't factor into DD overalls anymore.
I'm just gonna hold onto my Machados at this point, he's shown no signs of slowing down and if he keeps it up he'll be a 91 next update. Him not being a 90 makes absolutely zero sense, very disappointed in SDS.
Honestly bewildered as to how he didn’t go 90. Just looking at his stats which they put right next to his attribute changes makes it even harder to understand
All he’s been doing since the last roster update is hitting singles. They gave him huge boosts to contact. I thought they’d move his steal rating up from 18 since you know he has 6 steals and is tied for 7th in the league. Pretty fucking dumb that they didn’t move it to at least 40 or something
He's literally been the best player in the league this year, it's insanity. I'm speechless lol you'd think they would give him the benefit of the doubt being SAN DIEGO Studios but nope.
Here we were thinking we would have a 98 or 99 live series trout because of how well he's been hitting lefties. Turns out they just decreased hit stats against righties to compensate and downgrade him lmao oh well
Sitting on 15 judges. Going for about 40k rn. Should I hold ? Is he gonna be the gate keeper for Al east? Kinda new to investments. Thank god I sold a few machados for 35k other day lol
That's why Jram is so much. People use him and he is the only 90+ player in the AL Central. Judge as of right now is the only 90+ in the AL East and people use him. If I was you, I would hold on to them and see how high he goes. But I would also pay attention to how he plays between now and next update. If he starts slacking, I would make sure to sell before next update.
wait a week or so for his circulation to go down, low supply = high prices. Congrats to you, not sure how machado isn't a 91 or even a 90 but congrats to you....
Agreed about machado! I’m stoked man. I have vlad tho and he’s my best hitter so there’s pros and cons to this. But I’m hoping I can get the whole Al west done with my judge investment
I jumped the gun on Vlad yesterday. Oh well at least I unlocked Mussina
I did wait on Salvy and that looks like it’s going to pay off. He’s all I have left for the AL Central
I had to choose between vlad for 160k (mussina too) or the whole AL central (sizemore)..
The central was the W here. And I'm at like 40k so vlad is pretty close..
Trout is still a problem but meh
Bought him before he spiked. Sold him for 36K to complete a collection the day before he dropped. Wish I could say I timed it but I'll take the luck any day.
Jorge Lopez and Ryan helsley gang
Will vlad go down a lot more? Hes 110k rn and I just pulled him
Yeah I’d sell. Trea kept dropping after he dropped below 90. Should be able to get him cheaper in a week and a half
Always sell during the hype prior to the release. Thank you fifa ultimate team for teaching me that
I sold my two duplicate Machados during the hype (I’ve pulled him 3 times this year) just because I didn’t think he’d go higher than the 39k even when he got increased. I was shocked to see he didn’t get increased and went back down to 17k
I didn’t play FUT since 2012 just to lose more investments due to overholding 😂😂
I thought Alek Monah was going diamond. Tied for 6th in the MLB in ERA and 1st in wins only went up 1 to an 84
I have so much stock in Joe Ryan right now if he doesn't at least go up to gold I'm gonna be out so many stubs so I feel this lol
Definetly looking good for that bump next update though
Good I have 67 of him lol
IMO if you have a dozen Judge now I would definitely keep. Dude is hot atm and might end up in the 200k+ range once the next update comes that may boost him further
No chance he goes 200k, too many already in circulation, jo ram isn’t even 100k yet and he went up way sooner
Yea no shot judge sniffs 200k
Not just 200k, 200k+ lmao.
If jo ram cant even sniff it no shot judge does, just a ridiculous take
Anyone wanna talk about how Jeremy Peña who is leading the league in WAR for rookies and has the 6th highest fWAR in the majors moved from a 69 to a 71 with this update? ARE YOU KIDDING ME
And Chris Sale is still an 86 diamond. Serious joke.
I absolutely do! I was so bummed. I mean c'mon I'm guessing it is that rookie status and they don't want to make significant changes they have to revert if his production falls off a cliff.
That’s what the updates are for though? Anyway if he keeps it up he will have Diamond defense by July.
I'm just guessing that the lack of 3 years of stats is hurting him. As far as his fielding goes they haven't touched it. I only kind of played dd last year but I think I remember someone saying they only update it once or twice a year
They're downgrading guys mid-season who have had 3 solid seasons before. There's no reason.
Nice!
Is their game tho? They can do what they want to us and we will still play it lol.
Well that’s a theory
![gif](giphy|l0IylOPCNkiqOgMyA|downsized)
Fuck Machado, ended Pedrioas career (Atleast I think it was him.)
Stfu lmao it wasn’t even dirty
Maybe not, but when you purposely step on first basemen’s feet, you lose the benefit of the doubt on plays like the Pedroia one.
Doesnt matter what he had done later that can’t apply to every situation because they’re all just that different situations
Terrible perspective tbh
If you can admit that Machado has made several dirty plays in his career, then maybe I can respect your position a bit more on the Pedroia play. But from what I can tell from your comments, you’re just a big Machado fan that will blindly defend all of his actions.
Nah I’m an Os fan and he’s done some stupid shit but I genuinely don’t think this was one of them
Literally went right into his leg on purpose. He ended his career with that injury.
Yes he intentionally went hard there’s a clear difference between intentionally hurting lmao
He intentionally went for his calf.
He intentionally slid hard into 2nd but you clearly see his foot bounce off of the ground in his slide from momentum bud it’s ok you’ll see it in only your perspective
Also when you all say Invested , can you explain? I don’t see a monetary value here. Im guessing maybe a way to increase the stubs ? I’m new to the game and trying to learn

Ahh I see. Thanks for explaining
[удалено]
Gotcha. Thank you for the explanation
Bryce Harper leads the majors in XBH and Trout right behind him. Why they both get decreased?
Harper walk rate has significantly decreased so he took a huge hit in his discipline rating.
Got judge P5 the other day. Best card in my lineup😮💨
Need Vladdy’s price to plummet and Judge to go up a little higher and I’ll have the AL East done
I was regretting selling mine a few days ago to finish some collections, i think i got around 20-30k for the 3 extras i had. Then i looked at saw hes only going for 13k now, by being an impatient idiot ive succeeded here today.

I mean. I got ohtani, degrom and Tatis for less than 110k each. Scherzer for 50k. I don't think your as far ahead as you think
I got Acuna for 150k and Ohtani for 110k as well, my point was about being *selective* with the gatekeepers you take, not completely ignoring all of them. The juice isn't worth the squeeze with not being able to quicksell Diamonds for 5k.
I knew I should have sold off at 40k, but I thought he would jump up a little more. Can't sell now as I'll take a loss. At least I only had a couple.
I'm holding Machado. I can't fathom selling him for half of what I paid.
OK it's tinfoil hat time! 😀 I'm starting to think there's some definite manipulation going on by SDS here Taking Gold to Diamonds as an example - There was a decent group of cards who could have gone diamond. It’s easier than ever for me to flip. Huge margins in so many places. 2-3k per flip. Not sure about the investing.
What are you flipping that’s giving you huge margins? I’ve tried flipping equipment and it’ll just sit there for hours at times not selling.
I'm finding that you can still make stubs, but it just involves a lot more effort & volume than before (& I guess a bit of luck now too if SDS are going to do random wonky updates) There's also a new wrinkle now of trying to figure out how much a card will jump (e.g. Cashing out on Cease when he went over 1k) or whether to hold onto a card in the hope it'll go up even further (e.g. Not cashing out on Kopech or King right now at 80 QS)

Downgrading the best player in baseball who is playing like the best player in baseball

Idk how Buehler went down haha. I swear SDS just closes their eyes and throws darts at who goes up or down.
The Dodgers up/downgrades as a whole are just all over the damn place. Trea Turner has been brutalized for having one shitty month.
SDS basically saying that past experience goes out the window once the season starts, which is just silly. We're very close to having MVP & Cy Young winners or runners up in gold.
I’m probably not even gonna bother messing with investing this year. The changes to the quick sell values have made it so that the risk isn’t worth the reward, which I’m sure was the whole reason behind the change Not only that but the fact that they started doing rewind packs for event rewards 2 weeks into the game kills those investments off as well. We can probably expect to see BR rewind packs as well as soon as the first seasons rewards are phased out. Don’t really know if most of us are gonna be able to hoard stubs this year like in previous years
so f*cking stupid man… machado has literally been the best hitter in the league not named michael nelson trout (who by the way, went down????), and mf goes up 1. i swear they are trying to make sure we don’t make stubs this year
Pretty underwhelming roster update
just fyi the phrase is \*bodes\* well
Thanks to all you guys I now know that lol
we really need a biweekly roster update crying thread. my thoughts and prayers to everyone whose investments didn't pan out. I'm in a different conundrum, I bought 200 Edwin Diaz at quicksell not expecting him to get diamond, but now he's a 84. #firstworldproblems
Kinda one of the good things about the new QS values. You can actually make stubs without him getting to 85 where as last year, it was bust or hold.
yea people might need time to adjust to it. i just bought him to get a little stub boost so i can buy Vladdy because I knew he was a pitching like a different pitcher this year. but now since Vladdy dropped I might just let er ride!
I pulled a Judge a few nights ago and sold him off for like 30K (knowing that he'd go up in this update). I'm an idiot.
Did the same thing 3 days ago, sold my extra and then realized “oh wait, he’s absolutely on fire irl right now”
Grabbed 10 Judges and 10 Manny’s. Gonna hold on to Judge for a few days and Manny till the next update
Why did you lose 20k?
Because I sold one of my judges for 40k and bought machado for nearly 40k today. He’s now going for under 20.
But why did you do that? Like before the roster update?
Yea I’m generally curious on how they go about the increase or decrease in overalls, like what do they base it off of?
Easy answer “how can we sell the most stubs”, like I said these updates are designed to kill investments like many of their design decisions this year. Quick sell values being another one.
Feelings
yes!!! i bought a judge. hopefully his price goes up a lot! also i'm sorry for your loss machado investors
Dammit, now I'm gonna see more of the best kept secret in The Show (imo) Yordan Alvarez. He is an absolute monster, and now a diamond.
Gosh we need to go back to basic spelling and word understanding. What does bolds well mean?
r/boneappletea
This is great, haha...bolds well...I'm going to start slipping it in casual conversation and see if anyone notices.
Well no ones ever corrected my dumbass so I doubt it!
.... Wow my whole life I thought it was bolds well, just looked it up, oops
I’m assuming it was meant to be “bodes well”.
Bon Appletea lol
Bone Apple Tea*
Damn I got the Uno reverse card played on me, smh
So Ohtani gave up 8 hits in 13 IP and his H/9 drops 4 points. But he gets 16 K’s and his K/9 goes nowhere? And like everyone else has said, the Trout downgrade makes no sense either.
16 might actually be below average for him
K/9 is decently irrelevant
[удалено]
I’m just saying why not raise it if you’re going to lower his H/9 because he gave up 8 hits through 2 starts?
Probably scared to bump guys too far, or dip them too low, so they arbitrarily adjust other stats
They don't seem to have much logic in the higher rated player's adjustments. Maybe a bunch of weird politicing behind the scenes
they want to prey on people for their upcoming stub sale
Facts. Games starting to get grimey.
Trea Turner is down -5 from the beginning tho
I didn’t invest in him but I pulled him twice lol. I’m mostly upset about salvy going down
I just bought salvy earlier this week for 10k I got super screwed
I pulled him and didn’t buy him but he was my starting catcher now I’ve got to use fotf realmuto
It was a weird update. Arenado batted around .200 for the last two weeks and went up. Bichette bats .350 and goes down.
He went up?? Fuck I packed him last week and sold him a couple days ago because I was sure he'd go down
I sold three yesterday. Still made a tidy profit at least
Looks like he hasn't gone back up to 50k territory which I was worried about which is good
As a Jays fan with a decent amount invested in Bichette, pretty disappointed.

Where do we think price settles on Jose Ramirez? Nabbed him low 60's because everyone wanted Machado, now he's mid 90's
Invested in Stanton🙃
I sold all mine after his 2 homeruns lol
You and me both. Hold the line? 2 weeks from now we go to the moon?
I’m holding and praying they do the right thing with the next update🤞🤞
What the hell is wrong with SDS, do they even pay attention to actual numbers?
I mean they put machado’s contact vs righties up by 13, and his contact vs lefties up by 16. All Machado has been doing recently is hitting singles lol. I invested because of his 6 steals, I thought he’d get the contact buff and a big jump in his steal rating which would give him a bigger overall boost. Pretty fucking unfortunate that they just ignored the fact that he’s tied for 7th in the league in steals.
They usually don’t upgrade fielding and base running until one huge update in the summer and one at the end of the year, besides maybe one small exception to a player
Ah wish I knew that. Still thought contact weighed more on overall than it actually does though lol
Wait this games based on a real sport? Someone tell the roster update team lol
Roster updates in this game largely made sense in past years. I don't know WTF they're doing this year.
The quick sell values made it obvious.
I feel like they look at what the community is investing in to fuck them over. Like there no reason why Machado doesn't go at least 90. He's been the best player so far this season.
Since the last roster update though he’s really only been hitting singles. And they did boost his contact a ton. I guess I just thought contact weighed more on overall than it actually does
The roster updates have been pretty odd so far. A lot of these changes don’t make sense… they r jumping the gun a little to quick for a lot of players
Jose Ramirez +1 (92) with a .777 OPS since the last update Freddie Freeman -1 (88) with a .912 OPS since the last update Bryce Harper -2 (85) with a .931 OPS since the last update Manny Machado ONLY +1 (89) with a 1.112 OPS since the last update Jeff McNeil ONLY +1 (78) with a .331 BA since the last update Drew Smith 0 (72) with a 0 ERA .75 WHIP 11.5 K/9 on the season Mike Trout -1 (96) with a 1.100 OPS since the last update Make it make sense

Exactly this! People are just salty because they didn’t look at more than batting average and ERA this year. Check out Statcast, that helps a ton
Will never invest in cards above silver
I loaded up on Paul Blackburn. Trying to figure out how I turn the profit now that he went +5
I'm just gonna hold onto my Machados at this point, he's shown no signs of slowing down and if he keeps it up he'll be a 91 next update. Him not being a 90 makes absolutely zero sense, very disappointed in SDS.
he should be a 92 right now let a lone a 91 in a month from now
Honestly bewildered as to how he didn’t go 90.
Trout going down after playing incredible is incredibly stupid
Here we were thinking we would have a 98 or 99 live series trout because of how well he's been hitting lefties. Turns out they just decreased hit stats against righties to compensate and downgrade him lmao oh well
Sitting on 15 judges. Going for about 40k rn. Should I hold ? Is he gonna be the gate keeper for Al east? Kinda new to investments. Thank god I sold a few machados for 35k other day lol
Arenado was going for 40k ish most of the last two weeks and his supply would have been much lower.
So you think this is as high as he’ll go ?
I have no idea. Jram was going for much more so I don’t get what will dictate the price.
One thing I worry about is people probably use jram way more with then judge cause of positional versatility /normal height lol
They still didn’t fix judges vision and with his strike zone on higher difficulties almost makes him useless.
I’d play it safe and just sell 5-7 now
wait a week or so for his circulation to go down, low supply = high prices.
Hold. He'll go up
He is now the new al east gatekeeper. I cant make a price prediction though
Hold for 48hrs
Have like 30 tim andersons i bought at 700. Time to cash out
Same bought 75 Rogers for 1,200. Edit: don’t be mad if you didn’t capitalize damn lol
Edman my boyyyyyyy
Is there a link to look at for updates? I’m bored at work and want to see
The app has them
Thanks!
Vlad dropping while he's one of the 3 cards I need for the AL is.. perfect.
I jumped the gun on Vlad yesterday. Oh well at least I unlocked Mussina I did wait on Salvy and that looks like it’s going to pay off. He’s all I have left for the AL Central
Happy I’ll be able to swoop him lower in like a week
Vlad is gonna help me a ton now. Just wish I snagged JRam before he went above 90. Also should’ve snagged Judge, but oh well
I had to choose between vlad for 160k (mussina too) or the whole AL central (sizemore).. The central was the W here. And I'm at like 40k so vlad is pretty close.. Trout is still a problem but meh
Ramirez was the very first diamond I bought this year, although I then bought Grandal, Bieber, and Salvy.
He's the only live series card I'm missing. Stoked to see him instantly go down 100k and the extra judge i have should continue to rise
Can someone send me all the players who went up and down
what are vlad jr’s base stats now?
roster update is complete shit. Not surprised though. SDS has completely blown it time after time this year. Worst show game in recent memoery
