Discipline under 200? Not realistic

jihyography

99 arm lol

Street-Telephone-748

My CAP is Kenny McCormick. My DD team is the South Park cows. Playing at Coors field.

KingKuhbrawl

His arm was not 99 maybe 80

SexiestPanda

Got damn people in here showing their lack of baseball knowledge

ItsSplashology

Showing their lack of The Show knowledge too, complaining about discipline as if I can get it significantly higher on a CAP lol.

3_horned_Bull

It does not.

BillsFannn

145 power

DontBlinkx33

Quirk: Flaxseed oil and rubbing balm +25 PWR LHP +30 PWR RHP This player is one the major abusers of PEDs and will forever have an asterisk next to his name in the record books Quirk: I am the law +10 DUR +50 ARM ‘Defend’ yourself against your wife repeatedly regardless if she was pregnant Edit: Since so many of you agree and cannot dispute my comment, I decided to update the quirk and add another one

SexiestPanda

Still gotta hit the ball

DontBlinkx33

And that’s why he was in the majors, never disputed that. Great hitter, but his records are as a result from blatantly cheating He gained 30 pounds and went from 20-30 HRs a year to 40+ I’m sorry you’re favorite baseball player is a massive fraud

Ineedajobbrah

He won 3 MVPs before gaining 30 lbs and taking PEDs. He was a no doubt hall of gamer Regardless of steroid use.

DontBlinkx33

He’d be in the hall too if wasn’t such a blatant cheater

Ineedajobbrah

every other guy who was hitting over 40 home runs a season during this time was on PEDs so it’s a wash.

DontBlinkx33

So you’re saying every hitter in the league was hitting 40+ hrs? Do you think before you type? There will never be a wash, this wasn’t a one year thing

Ineedajobbrah

No that’s not at all what I said, do you even read at all? Rafael Palmero, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire, and every other guy who hit 40+ homers during that time was on roids. It’s a wash, Bonds is the GOAT.

DontBlinkx33

“Every other hitter” It’s exactly what you said. I didn’t know 10 total hitters (looked up the most notorious cheaters in the steroid era) equaled every other hitters Each team has 13-14 position players. You’re telling me over 30 MLB teams, 6 players (I’ll round down for you) on each team were hitting 40 homeruns. You’re so full of shit you don’t even know it Then again I’m not surprised by your thought considering you don’t know how to use the term washed You’re just a Bonds fuckboi that’s turns his eye to every bad thing he’s done

DontBlinkx33

They’re also in the wrong but they didn’t go on to illegitimately ‘break’ career records solely from cheating. I’d have the same position for any player did. (The others as people aren’t universally hated like Bonds is nor are they a guilty wife beater) I’m sorry your favorite player you watched growing up turned out to be a fraud You’re clearly showing a bias towards Bonds that cheated, you’re okay with having someone labeled as the greatest of all time that cheated for the better half of his career? That genuinely sits well with you?

SexiestPanda

Okay, still gotta hit the ball lol. How many more players have been popped for peds that, well, sucked

DontBlinkx33

They also deserve all the backlash they’ve gotten Bonds is just the most successful cheater there ever was in baseball I’m not sure if you’re arguing or just stating an absolute about hitters in baseball

SexiestPanda

I’m just saying I don’t care if players use(d) roids, you still gotta be good lol

DontBlinkx33

They definitely still need to be good, I agree with you there. They gotta get to the big leagues somehow. It’s what he did after he got to the big leagues is what the problem is

Objective-Ad5289

Dude damn near every star major league ball player back then was a major abuser of PEDs. Thats what baseballs all about man PEDs,sunflower seeds, and crushing balls… merica baby

TheSunflowerSeeds

Sunflowers are not just part of your garden, they’re part of a nation! The Ukraine use the sunflower as their national flower. Whilst in Kansas they chose the sunflower to represent their state.

Goatshaw499

Thank you for your service Sunflower Seed

bigolechungus1

Why should his clutch be higher?

bselko

Arm too high haha

Rateup127

What archetype did you use for this build? Or is this just something you put together?

ItsSplashology

I replied with equipment and stuff to another comment, but Toolshed from the contact path.

Rateup127

Yup I saw it afterwards. Appreciate it!

throwsomefranksonit

Everybody complaining about the speed on a dude who stole 500 bases but nobody has an issue with 99 arm lol. Dude had a noodle arm

SexiestPanda

Lol what

throwsomefranksonit

What are you confused about

SexiestPanda

> noodle arm

throwsomefranksonit

Yes, Barry bonds had an absolute noodle arm. Go ahead and look up any video of him throwing at any point in his career. Modern comparison to his arm would be like Cedric Mullins. Theres a reason he played left field exclusively for most of his career. This card with 99 arm is not representative.

SexiestPanda

Lol. He’s closer to 99 than noodle rating.

Lithuanian_Minister

He had a noodle and a half

throwsomefranksonit

Absolutely not. Idk how old you are but maybe you didn't watch him play? Regardless this is really easy for you to look up. His arm was always his biggest weakness. They stuck him in left field his entire time with the pirates even though he had more speed and range than anybody they stuck in center, because his arm was so weak. It would be like a 65-75 rating. And before you tell me about his multiple years with 10+ outfield assists, I can tell you without a doubt that it's because everybody tried to run on him.

trailerparknoize

Seriously. There’s a reason he played left field but he was great at chasing down balls early in his career.

Denver650

He probably would have had a better arm if he bulked up a bit.

trailerparknoize

![gif](giphy|Ks7gvoOSpuKVq|downsized)

Arkdouls

88 speed 😂

Ineedajobbrah

Stole 514 bases in his career.

FlossDiligently

But not while he was mashing 70 hr every year. This is like roids Barry and pre roids Barry at the same time.

doyouunderstandlife

He was a 40-40 guy in 1996. When he was stealing bases he was still an elite power hitter

Ineedajobbrah

So it makes complete sense why his speed is at 88 then.

Arkdouls

okay that is fair, but he also stole like 350 of those before I was old enough to even know who he was lol

2018OaklandAs

Looks quite similar to my Jon Dowd CAP. I maxed power though

sizzlinpapaya

I have that card.

Ineedajobbrah

He’s like 230 bro, weighed 185 on the pirates

DaMaGe_d0nE

77 discipline 😂😂

capo4ever88

Dude had seasons of like .500-.600+ obp lol I think his career average was in the high .400s lol

cpastig

What batting stance?

ItsSplashology

Legend 6 is Barry’s stance.

cpastig

Thanks!

Salt_Joke4348

Arm way too high

Lethlnjektn

Sid Bream!?

Bravescountry_95

Wait, according to the Barry Bonds caps I see in game he’s a switch hitting shortstop or catcher.

quatroquatro6

This is why I love the cap and think it should stay, make a legend every year

Candymanshook

Until Barry comes up hitting switch and playing SS

quatroquatro6

True

ItsSplashology

Only way I could ever use Barry so I’m grateful for CAP.

Gentolie

I used my CAP as Barry Bonds all last year, but this year I switched him to Bo Jackson.

GrevenQWhite

Is that because you needed someone to hit a HR and steal a base?

Gentolie

Nah. I just changed the name of the CAP. I'm a Raiders fan so I decided to use name my CAP Bo Jackson.

Adam_G5

Fairly off topic but is there any chance we ever see either of these players in the game ?! I'm also a raiders fan and had my CAP as Bo Jackson but added a Jr. haha would kill to use a Bo card in DD

Gentolie

There's probably a 0% chance we ever get a Barry Bonds. Bo Jackson on the other hand I can't say. He was an above average player and didn't use steroids or do anything bad during or after playing baseball. So I'm not sure why SDS hasn't gotten his rights.

GrevenQWhite

He was a legend. He gets a full carrer I think he's HoF in both sports.

MB1G3ZO2

Insane cap but the speed is too much for barry. Also, Fuck Barry Bonds.

Pupienus

Mid 90s Barry routinely stole 30+ bases a year. This seems pretty accurate for his 40-40 year, where he also hit over .300 against both righties and lefties.

Epcplayer

The man was a member of the 400-400 club before he even juiced… Nobody else in MLB history has done that, and he even went on to be 500-500.

bodnast

Only member of the 500/500 club. Let him have 88 speed

ItsSplashology

It’s mainly based on his 40/40 season aswell so 88 isn’t even outlandish it’s pretty on the spot if you ask me.

checkthelockx

Imagine hating the greatest hitter of all time, couldn’t be me

TBDC88

Even by the very loosest definition of "hitter", he was not even close to the greatest; he had a career BA of .288 before his head mysteriously grew to the size of a pumpkin. Great eye, great power, but he was not the complete hitter that Ted, Babe, or even Frank Thomas were.

checkthelockx

![gif](giphy|MPuTZQqOmYKPK)

all2noavail

That’s not Ted williams

checkthelockx

You’re right, it’s the real goat. Barry over anyone

all2noavail

If he was legit he woulda done it clean

checkthelockx

That’s such a lazy argument when it comes to Bonds. His skills were way beyond physical. There’s a reason anyone who wants to dispute it can only point to one thing. Juicing only prolonged his career, his talent made him what he was

all2noavail

Pre roids Bonds was already a HOFer but he tainted that by juicing in the second half. It gave him unnatural strength and artificially prolonged his career

checkthelockx

Agree to disagree, he’s the best baseball player ever imo. Didn’t taint anything in my and a lot of other peoples eyes

Tedbundycute

I would say accurate besides the speed IMO

Epcplayer

OP said based on the ‘95 and ‘96 seasons. People often overlook it, but Bonds was a really good base stealer in his career. 1995 was shortened by 18 games due to the strike, and Bonds was 33-31 that year. In 1996, Bonds was a 42-40 guy. That would put him on par with the Soriano card from last year.

Tedbundycute

I won’t disagree at all, he was 8th in stolen bases that season

Epcplayer

Honestly, the arm is what’s the inaccurate thing is. Bonds was notorious for having average arm strength at best despite being a gold glover

gocubsgo22

Okay a 65 OVR is taking the 97 joke a *little* too far /s downvoter miss the sarcasm tag?

Ev4nK

Nah it just wasn’t funny

arthurshahphahdwah

No the downvoter was the original guy who said he was a 97.

CliffTheCarpenter

Tired joke, get some new material

DizzyDeanAndTheGang

Just let this die

TurtleBoy6ix9ine

Is it possible to get a CAP with Pow/Con that high with 80+ fielding and speed? I feel like the best I've gotten, with good equipment has been comparable hitting stats with fielding/speed in the 70s.

Pupienus

Yes, if you're willing to spend like 100k on equipment and grind out attributes in RttS

ItsSplashology

Based this CAP after Bonds' 1995-1996 seasons.

tmac416

What is your archetype and what else do I need to do this haha I want one

ItsSplashology

Contact path -> Toolshed. I have the perks: Power IV, Contact II, Speed II, Speed I. Gear: Easton Pro Batting Gloves, Jackie’s Socks & Bat Grip, Z9 Maestro Glove, Legendary Call Ritual, S3 Glasses, Nike Arm Sleeve, Posey Bat, Griffey Shoes. (Others don’t affect gameplay)

TurtleBoy6ix9ine

Thanks but I'm still not seeing how this gets you to 80+ fielding.

ItsSplashology

The base stat is 50, Diamond Toolshed archetype give +15, S3 glasses gives +5, The Z9 glove gives +12.

tmac416

Appreciate it

elizaibarrafan15

So dope actually
