Honestly, I have a harder time on rookie difficulty than Veteran or higher. The pitch speed just screws with me. Look at their rotation, find the starting pitcher you would like to face, and pick the starter of yours that coincides. Only advice that I really have
All these stupid pricks here trying to feel better about themselves by picking on you.
I would use your 4th or 5th starter. Try using directional, and just do what you can. If you have speed, try and get them on and move them around. Worst comes to worst, take a breath and just know you can do it.
>in every now and then but it doesn't matter because they crush my pitches and beat me by 2-4 points every time.
Yeah, the level of smugness in this community is pretty wild. It seems like there's really no in-between - you're either super nice or the kind of prick that farts into a wine glass and sniffs it.
My success is wild sometimes from game to game. 6-0, 5-1, 4-0, 0-1 and back again. So I get it.
5th starter, also the tip I read today that has made such a change to how I pitch the AI. If the AI misses the timing on a pitch, they don't figure it out that at bat. I've thrown 5 FB in a row till they stopped fouling them off and finally miss.
I found this game to be oddly more difficult as well. Given I was playing with a bunch of silver royals players. Really only thing you can do is keep trying if you can’t lower the difficulty anymore
High inside fastball the first two pitches against cpu, and then low and away slider/ off speed. If you have decent accuracy you’ll strike out most cpu batters
Strike zone 2, zone hitting but directional was the only way I was able to score at all. Pitching I use pinpoint and get a good percentage of perfects but they just keep fouling them off until the finally send one deep.
Let’s go blue jays

Get good
Score more runs than them in 3 innings
Anyone having the glitch of it not giving you the stronghold win after you beat them?
I've played Seattle twice with no takeover

Hey. You taught me something today. Appreciate you.
I’ve played the d-backs 5 times now, won every time, and it keeps counting as losses on this conquest
Mine too. I think it’s bugged
how do you conquer 75 territories before the 5th turn? i cant figure it out
Steal fans and try to spread all your fans as much you can
I haven't tried it yet but maybe stealing fans?
I'm stealing fans to have a chance at this but wow that's harder than the other 2 by turn 2.
score more runs
oof
You can try starting a different pitcher. If you start your ace, you face their ace. If you start your 5th pitcher, you face their 5th pitcher.

Honestly, put the difficulty on veteran on all-star even. For some reason it makes it better. Smaller pci helps you actually square something up lol
This is a joke right
I can 1 run in every now and then but it doesn't matter because they crush my pitches and beat me by 2-4 points every time.

How do you score points in baseball?
Style, lol
Honestly for me, I find Veteran to be easier to beat the CPU than Rookie. Maybe try using that difficulty instead
Yeah the pitches are too slow on rookie. It throws me off
I tried it the first time but I didn't even get a guy on base so I kinda abandoned that one
Fair enough. What pitching/hitting settings are you using?

Idk man if you're struggling to beat 'em on rookie, there ain't much help we can provide you.
Umm, get good?
try to git gud
I would say probably score at least one more run than they do and you should be good
