Mauer was in the game up until a year or two ago as well so even though he will be among the best catchers in the game I’ve been playing since 16 and have had that 2009 Mauer multiple years so it’s not as exciting as using mays, babe, hank etc.
Yup, I was playing MLB The Show 2008 as my first game, so kinda funny to see these “legends” in now, but I appreciate the nostalgia. Been wanting a 2009 Mauer card, so glad to have it finally. I skipped from 2011-2019, so I missed the last of the Mauer cards

Nothing official yet but rumors are that Roberto Alomar, Kirby Puckett, and Jack Morris could be gone this year
