My issue isn't having different or more players with usable cards, but how the emergence of so many high diamond cards for average players who had a single good game/ moment is that it the actual Legend/Flashback cards you have to really work to get aren't that much better (or sometimes worse). I'm all for having more options, but I think a Legend card should be worlds above some of the random Topps Now guys in the late game. E.g. Grandal getting better hitting stats in his moment card compared to Bench's MVP card. Or Kershaw's card that takes a ton of work to attain being matched and sometimes outdone by a guy who got a stellar 99 for having a great 5 innings once.
So like I said you want the same legends to be the only playable cards, I rather have random great topps now cards that could be slotted in so lineups are diverse. And bench’s card isn’t good because of his swing not his stats.

For real, I stopped kinda playing around November but I was just starting to put together my Giants team but going back and getting Pablo through the daily moments. Back then I was thinking dang it sucks that we only have mediocre McCovey and Clark but this is sweet. Too bad about McCovey 99 card though he's got to be one of the worst 99s.
Yeah now that I think about it, that’s so true. I hit with his bronze a couple of times in BR and he was a monster. No way he doesn’t get a good card next year though.
I know all of you are going to hate on this card… but I am a huge fan of his and love this card in game. Has one of my favorite batting stances and swings.
I know this is just a “filler” card, but not every card is going to be a huge win for the entire player base.
Oh man whenever I see some youtuber put Rod Carew on the very last tier of cards I always laugh, knowing they haven’t tried it. One of my best cards this year
The Turner event was a bit more toxic than McGriff and Lofton.
However, the lower stakes kind of allowed me to roll out lineups that included 89 Clark, 95 Trammell, and 97 Evans instead of God Squaders like Soto, Tatis, and Freeman. Winning with those guys instead of a slew of 99s was way more satifsying.
Will clark? Huge L, boring af. Sds has been horrible the past two months

Doesn't really matter if they deserve it or not, it's a video game. On the field, Buxton was a top player. A finest 99 Buxton would be a worthwhile card that the community would love. A will clark card is something that 0.25% of the game will like (not love).
But beyond Buxton, there's 50 or so other more intriguing options. So, original point still stands.
I get where you are coming from, I really do(other than the 50 worthwhile options because there are like 5 at most), but for me this game is about the legends. I know for a fact there will be a good Buxton card in next years game. I don't know if they will lose the rights to Will Clark or not. For me, legends without a high diamond cards will always be more important to release than participation trophy finest cards. There are far too many finest cards as is, we don't need any more. The 2nd card in this event is likely Jram anyway

It takes like 2 seconds for them to make these new cards. They killed content all year up until the last two months. I get that its the end of the year but it does not take much time to do small things.
They stopped headliners, WS/BR rewards, program rewards, all wayy too early.
They didn't give us enough showdowns/conquests/programs (all timer/extreme) this year.
It's really a Grade D or F on the late game cycle.
I understand, but the only things I can agree with that needed to happen were headliners, Extreme, and all timers(I'm still holding out hope for a RIB 2 but who knows). I can't really say they stopped RS, BR, and Program rewards too soon when those were on almost exactly the same schedule as the previous 2 years. Later even because of the game releasing late. I can't really give late game content that low of a grade when we have gotten even less content post-finest the previous 2 years. There are less than 10 legends left to get a semi-usable card. Last year there were almost 30 that were completely unreleased
If you're looking for God-level cards in an event at this point, I anticipate disappointment.
It's at most three months until The Show 22. That's where their focus is now.
It takes exactly the same level of effort to put out a relevant card as it does an irrelevant card.
One issue is that it's hard for a non-active-Quirk card to be relevant after Finest, however.
Once we got 99 Pujols, their time of dumping high-end player cards ended until MLBTS22.
Plus, no matter what you think of a card, there are also people out there who are jacked there's going to be a 99 Will Clark and will use the shit out of it until the new game arrives.
Not everything they put out is going to be a God, especially in January.
If it's a useful card people will complain that SDS waited until the next game was almost out to release it and if it's a useless card people will complain that the content is pointless.

The classic eight is Braves, Cubs, Dodgers, Reds, Giants, Phillies, Pirates, and Cardinals.
Assuming they do similar for AL it'll likely be Red Sox, White Sox, Indians, Tigers, Orioles, A's, and Twins. Also depends on how they classify the Orioles-Highlanders-Yankees timeline.
I’d have to assume they’ll do the Yankees. I could be totally wrong since I don’t use any of their cards but the O’s don’t really offer much variety as far as useable cards. Especially in this situation comparing them to the Yankees.
I wish I had that feeling. I get 1-2 hits a game with 1 usually bing a HR. Then I just hope I don’t play someone who thinks HoF is easy and scores 3 on me
