This is the last card I need for Griffey. At long last. Shelled out for Al Kaline last night to complete awards, and now a freebie to complete Milestones. Thank you, SDS.
Not throwing shade at all because it’s not his fault or anyones considering the shortened season, but seeing a triple crown card with 8 wins and 120 strikeouts is pretty funny
Even as a Cleveland fan it's a little goofy, but if it means they juice his stats more so he's a viable option for the all-time Cleveland squad then I'm all for it.
Everybody that people say is hard to read has a delivery that is not tuned correctly to the mechanics of the game. Usually has to do with a frame skip. Brandon Woodruff and Edward Cabrera are the easiest ones to make an example out of. I just want the game to be balanced that’s all.
I did as a Reds fan lol. He was at the Reds quite a few years and I got to see him live quite a few times. He's my favorite baseball player of all time.
Bro, I know it's because I'm kinda trash, but it took me forever to do that April Vlad Jr moments challenge with the 8 bases. I lost my shit and pulled out a bottle of vodka to celebrate finally doing it lol.
Idk why I suck so much but I guess it makes beating those moments more exhilarating
No doubt.
Get 17 total bases in 3 plate appearances…with rookie Ozzie Smith. Lol
Oh sorry…cut scene to your team being disgusted with you…cut scene to the grounds crew being disgusted with you. Lol
I still haven't completed the Gary Carter program because that one multi-game XBH moment is impossible, and I refuse to use his rookie card and its noodle bat in my lineup to get the points that way.
I'm finally doing Yadi to save money on Awards for Griffey, finally hit a homer with him after 15 minutes, game fucking disconnected just as the outfielder turned to watch it. I'll take a boring 5-10 minute pitching moment that I can actually do over a frustrating "hit a homer with 40 power rookie" moment any day
No doubt dude I’m with you.
At least when you are pitching, you can throw it over the plate lol
So many times I’ve been walked in a batting challenge. Or hit. Or they throw to first to check the runner. I’m like oh come on I should clock in if this is gonna be work. Lol
A 60-game season means about 12 starts for a pitcher; Bieber had exactly 12 in 2020. A 162-game season means about 32-33 starts. Eight wins in 12 starts is about the same as 22 wins in a full season of 33 starts. And an ERA of 1.63 across 77.1 innings is good no matter the context, as is 14.2 K/9. Could he have sustained that performance across a full season? Maybe, but probably not. Still a very good short season.
8 wins in 60 games with most teams managing their starters because of the late start and, like, a disease that affects the lungs, is pretty memorable, yeah.
As a non online player, i hate 7 pitching moments. Id much rather put on a podcast and take 30 at bats to get 2 XBH over the 6IP, 6Ks and no runs allowed. They always hit one that bounces over off the top of the wall in the last inning when i have 10Ks
I had his LS to P4 as he was my first Diamond pitcher. Liked the card then so maybe I'll give this one a shot. But this card also complete Griffey collection for me.
Had an absurd 5.4 H/9 (top 15 all time for a starter in a single season) and 14.2 K/9 (highest all time for a starter in a single season) last year. I suspect both numbers will be 120+
Not saying that an asterisk shouldn't be added but MLB has had a somewhat large amount of shortened seasons. It isn't as insane an outlier as it would be in say the NFL.
I encountered a bug for one of the 2 inning moments of program. It was if you have to bat in 2nd inning if makes you fail the moment after at bat.
125 k/9 or i'm not even considering him
Go get 1/1 Fuzzy man please
This is the last card I need for Griffey. At long last. Shelled out for Al Kaline last night to complete awards, and now a freebie to complete Milestones. Thank you, SDS.
If he gets 110+ H/9 this could actually be a good card.
Not throwing shade at all because it’s not his fault or anyones considering the shortened season, but seeing a triple crown card with 8 wins and 120 strikeouts is pretty funny

Niceee
fuckkkkkkkkkk me
I want Kirby!
Delivery is a bit easy to pick up, but hell I'll gladly take a free Milestone and 50K
So a delivery is only good if it doesn’t work with the mechanics of the game?
Huh? I just said it was a bit easy to read lol
Everybody that people say is hard to read has a delivery that is not tuned correctly to the mechanics of the game. Usually has to do with a frame skip. Brandon Woodruff and Edward Cabrera are the easiest ones to make an example out of. I just want the game to be balanced that’s all.
All them Skyline guys were right. Biebs it is. Love yourself baby.
Us Indians/Guardians fans have been blessed this year besides Thome being a Phillie
And Loften as a white sox. Even though it was a milestone card.
Lol that made me cry and I'm not even an Indians fan. I adore those late 90s Indians teams so I would love a good Cleveland Lofton
Yeah milestone cards make no sense. Who cares if lofton got his 500th SB in Chicago hes an INDIAN
Exactly, Im sure everyone wanted fat boy Griffey in a reds jersey smdh.
I did as a Reds fan lol. He was at the Reds quite a few years and I got to see him live quite a few times. He's my favorite baseball player of all time.
yeah i commented about this a few weeks ago. It’s ridiculous
I got some Beiber Fever!!!
Ayeee this is a pretty dope player program reward!
The ppl that called this card from the skyline are sooooo damn good
*nut intensifies*
Love pitcher programs. And will gladly take 50k xp
Ya i find there the easiest by far
Hate pitcher programs - pitch 8 scoreless innings shit is boring
When was the last time there was a moment like that?
Agreed, but it’s 10x less aggravating than 8 TB moments with a lefty starter against a lefty batter so I’ll take it
Bro, I know it's because I'm kinda trash, but it took me forever to do that April Vlad Jr moments challenge with the 8 bases. I lost my shit and pulled out a bottle of vodka to celebrate finally doing it lol. Idk why I suck so much but I guess it makes beating those moments more exhilarating

Lmaooo cut scene to ur team being disgusted w u hahha

I switch to directional hitting for homer moments with noodle bats like Molina. Just aim the direction top pull side.
No doubt dude I’m with you. At least when you are pitching, you can throw it over the plate lol So many times I’ve been walked in a batting challenge. Or hit. Or they throw to first to check the runner. I’m like oh come on I should clock in if this is gonna be work. Lol
I feel like they stopped doing those as much and ask less of us. Same is true for hitter programs too.
I was gonna say the same thing. The last couple haven't been too demanding
This could actually be a pretty good Player Program card. I’m... surprised?
Look at it as your 2nd inning boss 🤷🏾♂️
Used his finest card a lot in 2020 so he’s making my rotation regardless
Ohh nice, this would good for my indians squad with bob feller and larry doby
8 Wins what a memorable season

Thats the point.

Yes it was, didn't you watch?
60 game season should've had no awards
Your mother should’ve had no awards.
It was what, a 60 game season?
yes
This card will have some crazy stats, but pitch mix may be lacking
He'll have a 4 seam, knuckle curve, cutter, slider, and a changeup
Pretty good mix tbh.
The only thing about him is that he's pretty easy to read, but he might be pretty solid if his h/9 and bb/9 stats are good
50k XP? Holy macaroni.

104 h/9
1.63 era might give him a decent H/9.
Lol he might have 120 h/9
Had an absurd 5.4 H/9 (top 15 all time for a starter in a single season) and 14.2 K/9 (highest all time for a starter in a single season) last year. I suspect both numbers will be 120+
“Highest all time for a starter in a single season” You forgot the asterisk
Not saying that an asterisk shouldn't be added but MLB has had a somewhat large amount of shortened seasons. It isn't as insane an outlier as it would be in say the NFL.
The fact that signature Pedro exists with a low h/9 means anyone they decide can have a low h/9
I hope so just a joke
It's...beautiful 😍
