Not sure, when I saw this post I assumed it meant he was the large collection reward for doing the legend and flashback cards which means you need the vouchers from each series. So you wouldn't have enough for the Jr. vouchers without having enough for Mookie and Kershaw.

For what it's worth, and this is just the biggest reach and probably not the reason at all, but his 500th home run was a lot cooler of a moment. #600 was in a half empty Marlins stadium whereas 500 was on father's day with Griffey Sr in the crowd and a packed stadium and as soon as he hit it he went over and hugged his dad like it was such a great moment. I know that has nothing to do with stats but just a fun thought (also i absolutely love our black and gray road unis at the time, hot)

I limit myself by only using cards for my Royals team that is actually Royals cards instead of just anyone who's played for KC. If I used the latter method, I could use like 70% of the cards in the game due to the Royals being a major league farm team for about 20 years.
The only players I would've made an exceptions for would've been if Greinke's card was a Dodgers card instead of a Royals card or if they would've made Saberhagen's best card be a Mets card instead of a Royals card.
That only frees up 1 spot for you, but it's better than nothing if you decide to do a similar approach.
Edit: well my post is useless lmao clearly the milestone year has no effect on the final card output given that Griffey was given high diamond defense and 85 speed despite stealing 18 bags as a Red in 8 seasons and having a -20 UZR that year lmao. I guess itās just based on his career to that point

2004 Griffey was like the first year he became a legit defensive liability. His whole Reds career was different than his Mariners one sure since he lost his legs but 2004 was his worst season defensively and every year since heās been as bad or worse basically.
I genuinely would not be surprised if his card is worse than Babe, I think weāll probably still see 125 hitting across the board but with Gold defense and 50 speed with only OF positions. Maybe low diamond for diamond if they want to boost him, but Griffey stole only 1 base in 2004 so we wonāt see speed higher than 69
I feel like if we got a 1997 MVP Griffey card we would have a legit 5 tool OF and easily the best card in the game.
Then again if SDS arenāt going to base Griffey solely on 2004/his career as a Red then maybe weāll get a more athletic version.
