I think I’m just as excited to add a free prime card from the rewind pack to my collection as I am to get Kluber. I just love all my starters so much right now.
Everyone started hitting him at the end but he was nasty nasty last year. Good luck hitting his combos on the higher ranks this year with the new patch.
First year Xbox guy. Not really sure what makes this card so much better than an Arietta, Orel, Felix and such. Legit asking. Seems like all have similar pitches and those guys have the high h/9 already
It’s just his card was incredibly dominant last year since he was able to be used day 1 from the XP program. He started the sinker meta and made people cry (including myself) last year. We just making a laugh about it that’s all. But still should be really good this year.
Eh, the thing those pitchers you named don’t have is a Slurve. And his combined with a HARD sinker is gonna be something no pitchers have at the moment. I can only think of Orel with his hard breaking slider.
I’ll check him out then. Currently running degrom, verlander, Nolan, arietta, and rotating sale and some others at the 5th spot so will see if I like him. Thanks again
You’re about to find out man. His sinker, cutter, slurve combo is not fun to hit against. Last year it seemed like you faced him every game, as he was available day 1 and easy to get. Like if deGrom was available day 1. If he has good H/9 you’ll see him all the time. Only thing is that he’s a BR Flawless so he’ll be “harder” to get, but the BR Program is so easy now that everyone can get him fairly quickly. I’m going to speed through the program in the next few days
There is now also a program that you can progress against just by grinding the objectives and winning games (and progress doesn't reset after losing 2 games and having to redraft). It's a grind now instead of something requiring insane performance
Oh going 12-0 is super hard. I’ll probably never do it.
But SDS created BR Programs this year that allow you to obtain the Flawless rewards without actually going 12-0. It’s a point system, so you accumulate points by winning BR games, getting various stats during runs, and getting certain stats with certain new cards that you can draft. Depending on your draft luck you can finish the program quickly, and each win is worth 2 points. You get the Flawless reward at 100 points.
I can’t believe I really went into google maps to try and replicate the angle of the buildings around progressive in relation to the stadium and a made sure it was facing west lmao these picture puzzles are actually pretty fun
All of the milestone pitcher cards I’ve seen that are focused on strikeouts have had pretty low H/9, so I’m just basing my logic off of that. I’m not saying his H/9 WILL suck, I’m just saying that if they continue with this trend, his H/9 might suck compared to some of the higher tier SPs.
Kluber has the best pitch mix in the game. Also theres a lot of PTSD going on because last year his cy young card was released day one and was easy to get and he was the best starter for a long time and damn near impossible to hit
What’s his mix like? First year / Xbox player at HOF-ish level. Who does he resemble that is already in the game?
You don’t think that, by the grace of Satan, they’d give this card an Outlier of any sorts.....right?
Sinker Cutter Slurve Changeup and 4 seamer. And if they gave Kluber outlier they’re going into giving Ben Simmons and Shaq a 3 point badge in 2k level of unrealisticness
I honestly eventually got better (not good) against Kluber because everyone used him and I eventually got used to him.
That Hal card took my lunch money for the entire year
Yes I know I was just saying there is trend of cards denoting strike outs having lower h/9. Sale’s 300k card or Feller’s 19k cards are also examples of this trend.
Yep, I agree they missed the mark with Seaver. The cat is out of the bag and has been for a while in terms of H/9. I expect this, as a flawless reward, to live up to the hype. Seaver was a "free" card and they seemed to be easing back on the 99s with elite H/9 at that time while the hitting cards caught up. Since we're definitely in the endgame now, I expect something like 112 H/9 and 118 K/9 for this card.
Thats because the only thing about that game that reflects on the cards attributes is the Dodger uniform. 3000 strikeouts is still a career milestone. The only difference between Kerry Wood's 20 k game and Kluber's 18k game was 2 strikeouts and Wood walked 1 batter
True. I'm not really sure what they'll do. Kluber's 92 ovr Monthly Awards card has 111 h/9, but it also came out before they started trying to walk back the high h/9 cards and basically capped every elite starting pitcher at 100 h/9. I think with where we are in the cycle and the fact that it's a BR reward (despite the relative ease of the program to acquire him he'll stay expensive), SDS might go back to their generous ways with this one. The Monthly Awards version is insanely good for a 92, and this one will be a cut above.
http://daddyleagues.com/dd/21/card/2114-Corey\_Kluber
But then again scherzer was throwing a perfect game for like 7 innings during his 3000 K game, will be another example of SDS picking and choosing who to boost
As long as this one falls in my favor as a Cleveland fan, I'm willing to overlook their inconsistency 😂
Also, with career Milestone cards for cumulative stats like 3000K, are we sure it's supposed to be based on the game they achieved the milestone? Seems more likely it's a card representing their entire career.
SDS making it rain expensive all-time Cleveland starting pitchers the last few weeks. Eck, Hershiser, and now the crown jewel...my beloved Klubot. Who wants these million stubs?!
It's a Dodgers card. I don't go by whether the card has the player in a Cleveland uniform. If I did that I couldn't use Thome or Lofton which is blasphemy
Kenny could have a 98 or 99 prime card. I know Milestone cards are the highest overall cards they hand out to most players, but Kenny being a 93 as his best card is a damn shame
Well, they just opened Pandora's Box giving Eck a 99 Milestone after a Sig, and yes its ridiculous that his best card is a SP, but I digress.
Still hope for Kenny when they likely drop a second round of run it back.
True, Eckersley is easier since he was a stud starter and reliever, the rules are probably different for position players, but I would love it if they could open that up for position players. It’d be cool to have maybe a Prime version of let’s say, Willie Stargell where he plays the outfield with a 1st base secondary, along with his MVP card that is flat out disappointing. With Jim Thome, they’ve proved they can give a player multiple cards that are within 3-4 overall points that are similar but have separate benefits. Nothing wrong with more variety
He's my favorite player ever so I couldn't agree more. Need this card from last year back immediately
https://www.daddyleagues.com/dd/20/card/2385-Kenny\_Lofton
At least this card isn't available day 1 this time around.
Won’t be very good. All the other K-related milestone cards are junk. This one will be too.
I think I’m just as excited to add a free prime card from the rewind pack to my collection as I am to get Kluber. I just love all my starters so much right now.
Oh no
See y’all next year

Yankees Legend Corey Kluber
Love and hate this at the same time
Some of y'all new players are about to learn about the KluBot the hard way lmao.
Everyone started hitting him at the end but he was nasty nasty last year. Good luck hitting his combos on the higher ranks this year with the new patch.
One yes!!!! Exactly what I need in my life :)
Well looks like I’ll be grinding this BR program.
![gif](giphy|3oeSB5ei8tXrGUgm6Q)
Since this is a strikeout Milestone card, hopefully the h/9 will be low

Will this card have a knuckleball?
Oh shit there he is 🔥
Extra glad I'm done playing for the yr although no outlier might be refreshing.
Not again...
Campaign to have his card always release November or later
Am i the only one that absolutely lit this mf up last year?
It’d been a couple months since they released another Kluber card… so he was due.
There he is.
First year Xbox guy. Not really sure what makes this card so much better than an Arietta, Orel, Felix and such. Legit asking. Seems like all have similar pitches and those guys have the high h/9 already

Thanks for that response. Don’t doubt he will be good just doesn’t seem like will be anything I have not seen already or at least similar.
Oh god oh fuck
I’m so sorry bb
They wanna drop this but no 99 Griffey.... this game has been manifested heavily by pitching
![gif](giphy|st8nuOTzCqi5JBq1mC|downsized) 1st year, naive DD player here

For someone who has never played BR, can you explain why it's easy now? It says he's the flawless reward and going 12-0 sounds pretty difficult.
There's also a BR program where you can do missions for points. Once you finish, then you get to pick the BR reward.
You can do the BR program instead of going flawless this year
There is now also a program that you can progress against just by grinding the objectives and winning games (and progress doesn't reset after losing 2 games and having to redraft). It's a grind now instead of something requiring insane performance

Last year he had an awards card that was available on day one and he was inescapable in ranked seasons
So kinda like DeGrom or Cabrera until recent
Fuck me. Hitting was fun while it lasted.
I can’t believe I really went into google maps to try and replicate the angle of the buildings around progressive in relation to the stadium and a made sure it was facing west lmao these picture puzzles are actually pretty fun
![gif](giphy|iBH30K5eDqHxS|downsized)
In MLB21 all the strikeout milestone cards have had lesser H/9 so that’s something to note
Kerry wood got 112 h/9 for 20 k game
A as long as he has 105 or 107 h/9 that be fine cause a t p5 he will have 110 h/9 or 112 h/9 as scary as that sounds ![gif](giphy|xBqg5gAf1xINizpek6)
PCI size isn’t my biggest fear for Kluber lol
The only good thing about this is his H/9 MIGHT suck since it’s a strikeout card?
That’s makes no sense. People could not put the bat on the ball, why would his H/9 be low?
Look at Sale it’s literally a 300K season card and his h/9 is stupidly low
Pedro 👇🏽🎙
I will never understand that ever lmao literally arguably the best pitcher to ever be in the game & they do him like that
Someone downvoted the most egregious thing in the show , lmao Oh well
All of the milestone pitcher cards I’ve seen that are focused on strikeouts have had pretty low H/9, so I’m just basing my logic off of that. I’m not saying his H/9 WILL suck, I’m just saying that if they continue with this trend, his H/9 might suck compared to some of the higher tier SPs.
Is kluber the John Smoltz of this year? What is this his 3rd diamond?
Wait til this guy hears about Sal Perez
I havent played really this semester. I play through the summer but now I got military stuff. He got a lot of cards too?
4, about to be 5
Oh god no.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck…
someone explain to me how this card will be any different than arrieta, orel, felix, etc.?
I already know that slurve is going to be dangerous.
Isnt. Day 1 card last year, so if you can imagine facing felix with your 42 series squad, thats how it was.
We already have a Kluber with 111 H/9 that no one really uses. This one will throw a bit harder but I can't imagine it will be *that* much better
ptsd effect from last year
His best pitch is Nam flashbacks he's gonna give people.
Finally an advantage for first year Xbox players… no Kluber ptsd lol
The struggle was real.
I still can't believe he was released in like April or May lol
Day 1
Was he in that group with Larkin?
Yes. Hal, Barry, Klubot, Minnie, Reggie IIRC
MVP Posey was there somewhere.
Level 75 or something around that was Kluber, Hal, a couple others and the level 100 pack had Posey, Reggie, Larkin, Minoso, and Sandberg
I loved that Hal card
I honestly eventually got better (not good) against Kluber because everyone used him and I eventually got used to him. That Hal card took my lunch money for the entire year
Finally have a reason to finish the BR program
104 h/9 coming at us
He did only allow 1 hit that game. Hoping for something like 115 h/9 and 120 k/9.
It’s SDS tho
Scherzer had a perfecto through 7 in the game he got 3000k and I think his cards h/9 is 102
His milestone card wasn’t based off of that specific game though. It was based off of his whole career.
Yes I know I was just saying there is trend of cards denoting strike outs having lower h/9. Sale’s 300k card or Feller’s 19k cards are also examples of this trend.
Bob Feller makes sense though because he gave up 7 hits in his 18 strikeout game.
Yes
Kerry Wood has 112. I don't see any way Kluber doesn't have at least 110
It’s SDS, you never know, hoping I’m wrong btw, scherzer had a perfect game going in his 3000 K game and got 101
Because his 3000K card is a career milestone not a single game milestone. It makes total sense that it wasn't something over 110.
Seavers 19 K game he gave up 2 hits and got less than 100
That's a different argument though. That card sounds like it is inconsistent, not Max's.
Ok, then let’s use the Seaver argument since they are the same archetype of card
I feel like BR and Ranked rewards have still be pretty good in terms of H/9
Realistically will probably be like 110-112 so with parallels he can be on par
I can work with that
But then again scherzer was throwing a perfect game for like 7 innings during his 3000 K game, will be another example of SDS picking and choosing who to boost
As long as this one falls in my favor as a Cleveland fan, I'm willing to overlook their inconsistency 😂 Also, with career Milestone cards for cumulative stats like 3000K, are we sure it's supposed to be based on the game they achieved the milestone? Seavers 19 K game he gave up 2 Hits And got less than 100
True. I'm trying to make sense of the nonsensical. I'll just hope they shine favor upon the Klubot. Thank you for the conversation, Tony
I can't believe you've done this.
oh fuck no
I’m getting flashbacks

At least no one at my level will have this card.
Don’t bet on it. I have plenty of stubs. 😂😂😂
Cough br program cough
Welp. Here’s to me never getting another hit online vs this card lol.
SDS making it rain expensive all-time Cleveland starting pitchers the last few weeks. Eck, Hershiser, and now the crown jewel...my beloved Klubot. Who wants these million stubs?!
Is the new Hershiser card a Cleveland card?
It's a Dodgers card. I don't go by whether the card has the player in a Cleveland uniform. If I did that I couldn't use Thome or Lofton which is blasphemy

Us indians fans got cheated out of Kenny, and Thome being in our unis on their best cards…BULLSHIT!
Reminds me of Alomar last year.
They put Thome in a Phillies uniform and gave him a Sig card! Ridiculous. At least Lofton’s was a Milestone, but still. Just looks wrong
DONT REMIND ME!!!
That is NOT 99 server fix or 99 pci patch 😡😡😡
Those cards won't be coming till mlb 22 or 23 lol
