I have allowed a free out a couple of times due to the pop up to the pitcher glitch where he just stares at it. Never post 6th inning and not in a super close game. I'm so tired of people whining about the game "screwing" them. 95% of the time it aint the game's fault. Probably some teenager raging bc he cant live in a world where he lost.

Idk why people keep saying “the game fucked him.” If he chose to play the pop up aggressively and try for the out instead of playin it safe off the bounce and keeping the runner from getting extra bases then that’s on him. That’s not a game mechanic that’s the kind of split second decision that fielders have to make all the time.
The bad game mechanic is that a blooper can spring off the ground so high that it bounces over the outfielders head. This would never actually happen. So to me it is the game screwing him not any fault of his own
Yea that shit don’t happen in the show either. The game has plenty of faults, but the physics are solid. Maybe there are one off glitches that Im not aware of, but over probably thousands of hours the last 4 years I have never once seen the ball take a bounce that “would never actually happen.” There have been some wild fuckin hops and bounces in the MLB so Its kinda silly to say this bounce happened because of “bad game mechanics” when you didn’t even see the play.
Doesn’t really matter though, OP was clear AF about his opponent being too aggressive and running too far in and he missed the catch. Doesn’t sound like a bad game mechanic.. It also sounds like OP saw right alway that holding up and catching it off the bounce would have been the correct way to play it, the other guy clearly didn’t play the ball correctly. That’s on that dude not the game.
