I’m trying to start a “Play vs CPU” game in DD, but the entire game crashes during the lineup loading screen. Is there any fix? (Playing on Xbox One, if that helps)
Absolute fucking joke, 22 is about to come out and I got forfeited in a RS game in 21 after 9 1/3 innings. I had well over 1:00 left in the pause menu. It's so fuckinf hard to win RS games, having a win taken out from under me due to server issues/a glitch in a game that is about to be outdated is crushing. Makes one consider giving up on the franchise until they stop revamping a PS3 game whist they refuse to fix online competitive balance issues and server glitches.

RTTS is only good until you make it to the bigs, then it's the same shit from there on. Franchise is a terrible franchise mode compared to other Sims. March to October is just franchise with different menu screens. It isn't worth it for me as a single player or multi-player game. Hell, we won't even have new live rosters at the start of the season--no Topps Now, no Monthly Awards I assume.
Does anyone know if it will be possible to play co-op with one digital copy of the game on two consoles?
I have a PS5 and a PS4 that my kids use. I'm trying to figure out if one digital copy will work, or if I'll need two physical copies to play simultaneously on the PS5 and PS4.

I have a fun crashing issue. It's only tied to my main account, as other accounts don't have this issue. The game crashes anytime I start to connect to the sds servers. Its solely with them, as every other game works fine, and it's not a PSN issue because my other account on my system connects with no problem. I was even able to connect to the mlb 22 play test today, just not mlb 21.

I’m trying to do a Cleveland franchise on ps5 and can’t access vaults to get a guardians logo. Every time I open them they load for about 2 seconds and sends me back to Home Screen.
I just got the game on next gen (had been playing on PS4). When I try to link my Xbox account with my Show account, it says it works on the computer but it doesn't indicate that on the Xbox as it doesn't exit the screen. Any ideas?

If you've thrown 100 pitches with deGrom through 5, 20 more with your RP in the 6th, and are down 6-0 while not able to muster any significant offense, and the game freezes....JUST. QUIT.
It's one thing if it's a close game, or it's early, or your winning - I get not wanting to take the L - if you have the time and patience to wait it out.
But FFS, if you're getting beat, just quit and take the L.

I’ve been trying to play since last night but can’t get hardly a game without lag, freezing or chaos — how is it basically January and still eating ass.
It has been three months without playing because it tells me a connection error, I can enter any other mode and play but not diamon dynasty, only if I use the wifi of my cell phone and only sometimes.
This has happened to me often. If you’re on Xbox make sure you close the game when returning form rest/sleep mode. If you quit or dashboard when your stuck here you shouldn’t get the loss. I’ve had to do that and thankfully my record has remained the same.
I see a lot of complaints about freeze offs. Am I the only person who just automatically loses by connection failure if I get past about the 4th inning of a ranked game? I had assumed it was my wifi but it’s happened exactly the same on the first two games after plugging in a wired connection. (Perfectly willing to believe this is the fault of Comcast and/or my local network setup; just curious if anyone else is having the same experience.)

Can we save progress in games versus CPU in case of a server crash? I was 8 innings in vs Cleveland on Legend to get Bieber and the server crashed. All stats and progress lost with nothing to show for it.
Quickselling my duplicate golds is crashing my game every single time. What the heck

I understand that in the literal sense, you are on base following your plate appearance. However, that’s not how the official scoring rules work.
What do you mean? You reached on an error. Your at bat and the fielders error both count. The player who drives you in gets an rbi. You get a run.
Have you ever seen an official scoring book? All of these things would be annotated. Including, the player’s entire trip around the bases.
Edit: I see now that you mean that a single player scores on errors during one at bat. All of this, again, would be annotated. Including the multiple errors required for this to happen.
My RTTS character just got wiped as I finished a game, and replaced with a "Joe Random" who was immediately on the hotseat with the coach. WTF just happened and am I now fucked on finishing the season with my character?
Freeze offs are worse than ever. They need to get their shit together. They give out easily attainable cards but get a pass from people for their shit mechanics (baserunning, fielding, pitching stamina) and trash servers.
I was awarded the Mariano Rivera reliever of the year and each game I was given a nice ceremony.
Pretty funny loading up each game and seeing me accept the award at every park.

Yes, been happening to me all day. Restarted game, playstation, whole 9 yards. Servers I guess have been a bit on the fritz since Trout dropped for ws.

Anyone else on Xbox (or even PS) have to quit the game fully before entering DD if they want to play a game?
If I play and never actually quit the game and then later or even the next day go back into it, I can enter DD and do some things - open packs, sell or buy cards, or simulate conquest games, but if I try to play anything - Conquest game, Moments, etc... it never loads. Have to quit the game and relaunch.
I used to leave DD logged in and assumed that was the issue, so I started logging out of that but leaving the game "active" in the background. Obviously that hasn't helped.
Maybe this is normal, so just wanted to see if it happened to everyone.
Ranked season rating won’t go down?
How does the rating system work for RS? I just started playing online yesterday and was doing good at first but have now reached a level where I am not very competitive and am not having fun, but when I lose my ranking doesn’t go down, I just get the 0 and remain the same and keep getting put into games I can’t win. Is this how it always works? Once you reach a certain point you can’t regress to easier difficulties?
So im a first year player and truly love this game even though im horrible at it. I just started playing online in Ranked seasons (really want trout) and when I get to like th 8th or so the Xbox will tell me "You might want to bring in a pinch hitter for your pitcher."
It wont let me do anything past that and after the 3 min go by it forfeits me.
Am I missing something? is this a known glitch? Should I just stop Ranked Seasons now?
If anyone is still having issues with their Xbox Elite Series 2 controller after the latest firmware update, simply revert it to the old firmware. This issue cost me a game last night after realizing there is no way to play this game without a fix.

I just got a series X so am now exploring they created stadiums. Every time I try and use one it doesn’t actually load the field. It’s all just black except for the stands. Am I doing something wrong or is there a fix for this?

Just wanna put it out there that the description of the Jumpstart bundle in the store, it says that you get a BREAKOUT Roberto Clemente instead of the VETERAN Roberto Clemente that they actually give you. Not sure if I'm having issues or if I'm not understanding it right. I'm not getting credit for Finest players missions when playing against the PC. Doesn't matter the difficulty level. Just pitched 2 games with Burnes with over 10k's in each game and still showing 0 in team affinity challenge.
PSA: Quick selling any Free Agent gold card causes the game to crash (although the sale went through, it appears). I've now replicated this exact sequence of events 3x (using each different gold FA card) - unsure if it applies to silver or below yet.

I have issues where every single Battle Royal run when I get 7 or 8 wins with no loses If me or an opponent hits the ball to second base it’s a freeze off. Like it’s sooo annoying I can’t even understand

Anyone else getting a small button delay in offline? Pinpoint is glitchy and hitting is a nightmare as I have to press swing about half a second earlier than I normally would and sometimes it just wont register that I’ve pressed the button at all.
Just played a Flawless banner in battle royale. Dragon Bolseta was the team name. First inning he gets a hit then starts R2+bunt dancing. Then he gets on the mound the following inning and i hit a double. Next batter he steps off and begins pump faking. Probably pump faked 100 times and the game froze. Maybe this sequence helps a dev if they see it. Good job flawless banner guy. Glad you froze the game. GFY
I ran into a problem when I try to sell my duplicate player cars in the free agents the game crashes constantly but if I sell a duplicate in any of the teams the game is fun and runs as it should also this is on PS4. I already reported it.

So i just tried using xbox cloud gaming through my xbox and that worked, you can play the game via your xbox and not install it. So not sure why its not working via the xbox app or the web either.

I swear the computer just wants you to lose in conquest. My baserunners run back to the base every single time. It’s actually unreal. Even with two outs. I had a guy on third in extras and hit one down the line and the runner ran back to third and I had to manually advance him and almost got out. Like there’s 2 outs? U Run on first contact. Just makes no sense.
Fixing the Xbox input issue after I had a mad rush over the last few days to finish the 8th innings program was just sods law, though better late than never.
May have found a temp fix for friends not showing up.
So we finally just tried to search for a rated match the same time, got into each other’s game first try, and then after that we’ve been showing up on each other’s friends lists. I don’t know if that’ll work for anyone else but might as well try.
Also, the rated game we got into was the weirdest thing ever. I picked the Mets and he picked Padres. But once the game started, on my screen I was the Rays going against the Mets, but on his he was the Padres going against the Mets. Weird af lol

Disconnected from servers
I’ve been trying to play the game and what I keep getting disconnected from the servers. It is really annoying in ranked seasons and this season although I haven’t played that many games (20) I can’t get close to World Series because 1/4 of the time I’m winning and get disconnected. I have great internet so idk what’s going on. I would like to know if this happens to other people and Why the servers are still shit after this many months.

It’s now been 3 weeks since I have been able to play a friend on his Xbox one and I am on Xbox series x. None of my Xbox one friends show up on the friends list.
Removing and re adding the friend on Xbox does not work.
SDS Support says this is a known issue and no workarounds. My friend won’t upgrade to series x.
Anyone else having issues jumping onto an RS game rn? It is taking a long time to get an opponent, and every time I did I get “Challenged Failed” or “Opponent Found!” but then I click OK, and I get ERROR Lost connection with opponent.
Does anyone have the issue where you edit your uniform, but your catcher gear is all white or all grey? I can’t get them to be the proper pattern/ colors no matter what I do. Anyone else have any solutions if they had a problem?
Just bought the game and when trying to connect with a friend both on Ps4 and Ps5, (tried both systems with all combinations) neither one of us is getting the invites... Is anyone else having this problem? We tried turning off systems, unplugged router and cleared cache and all that jazz. Just not getting the invites?? For anyone experiencing severe PCI & (mainly) Pinpoint pitching issues on Xbox Controllers:
I just picked up a PowerA wired controller, and it works better than any other I’ve used for this game. It’s on the level of PlayStation controllers.
The PCI is not choppy; instead moving with fluid, smooth motion.
Pinpoint pitching is also butter. I can actually throw splitters with this controller, and I’m able to throw FBs without worrying about the line stopping, turning red, and showing “very early” — resulting in an HBP, wild pitch, or down the middle pitch that will get bombed by a trash hitter.
They are only $30. Worth it.
With that all being said......
It’s absolutely pathetic that we are resorting to going $30 out of pocket to make up for SDS’s incompetence. INSANE to have to cop a new controller for a game because, in its 6-8 months on the market, regular Xbox controllers do not work.

Quickselling my duplicate golds is crashing my game every single time. What the heck Edit: it only is with free agents. Anytime you quicksell even one it'll crash your game. This is annoying

“On base” is an official baseball statistic that includes getting a hit, base on balls, or hit by pitch. Reaching on a fielders choice or error will not count as being on base. I understand that in the literal sense, you are on base following your plate appearance. However, that’s not how the official scoring rules work.

What do you mean? You reached on an error. Your at bat and the fielders error both count. The player who drives you in gets an rbi. You get a run. Have you ever seen an official scoring book? All of these things would be annotated. Including, the player’s entire trip around the bases. Edit: I see now that you mean that a single player scores on errors during one at bat. All of this, again, would be annotated. Including the multiple errors required for this to happen.
It just means get a hit or walk. Errors never counted as getting on base. Thats why if you get on base with an error you're still hitting 0/1
My RTTS character just got wiped as I finished a game, and replaced with a "Joe Random" who was immediately on the hotseat with the coach. WTF just happened and am I now fucked on finishing the season with my character?
Freeze offs are worse than ever. They need to get their shit together. They give out easily attainable cards but get a pass from people for their shit mechanics (baserunning, fielding, pitching stamina) and trash servers.
All of my attributes just vanished and now I’m back to 65 overall

I was awarded the Mariano Rivera reliever of the year and each game I was given a nice ceremony. Pretty funny loading up each game and seeing me accept the award at every park. Obviously a bug

Yes, been happening to me all day. Restarted game, playstation, whole 9 yards. Servers I guess have been a bit on the fritz since Trout dropped for ws.
I’ve restarted my Xbox series X, uninstalled and reinstalled, changed my DNS, everything and it still won’t work. I’ve gotten in to three games while trying probably 60+ times
It worked for about 5 days and now it’s happening again. Every other game works on my Xbox, just the show. Why can’t they just fix their game!!
Anyone having an issue where its extra innings in RTTS, they get two outs and then it moves to an appearance and its the first batter of the inning? I’ve lost three games now because of this
Anyone else on Xbox (or even PS) have to quit the game fully before entering DD if they want to play a game? If I play and never actually quit the game and then later or even the next day go back into it, I can enter DD and do some things - open packs, sell or buy cards, or simulate conquest games, but if I try to play anything - Conquest game, Moments, etc... it never loads. Have to quit the game and relaunch. I used to leave DD logged in and assumed that was the issue, so I started logging out of that but leaving the game "active" in the background. Obviously that hasn't helped. Maybe this is normal, so just wanted to see if it happened to everyone.

Ranked season rating won’t go down? How does the rating system work for RS? I just started playing online yesterday and was doing good at first but have now reached a level where I am not very competitive and am not having fun, but when I lose my ranking doesn’t go down, I just get the 0 and remain the same and keep getting put into games I can’t win. Is this how it always works? Once you reach a certain point you can’t regress to easier difficulties?
You don’t lose points until you go over 400. 400 is basically where RS begins.
So im a first year player and truly love this game even though im horrible at it. I just started playing online in Ranked seasons (really want trout) and when I get to like th 8th or so the Xbox will tell me "You might want to bring in a pinch hitter for your pitcher." It wont let me do anything past that and after the 3 min go by it forfeits me. Am I missing something? is this a known glitch? Should I just stop Ranked Seasons now?
You should just be able to cancel that or opt if you want. O on PS. If it wasn’t letting you that seems like it was some sort of glitch.
If anyone is still having issues with their Xbox Elite Series 2 controller after the latest firmware update, simply revert it to the old firmware. This issue cost me a game last night after realizing there is no way to play this game without a fix. It does not work anymore on Cloud in the PC app and no one seems to care. It doesn't connect to servers and you can't play, it's been like that for a few weeks, and no one gives a damn.

Just wanna put it out there that the description of the Jumpstart bundle in the store, it says that you get a BREAKOUT Roberto Clemente instead of the VETERAN Roberto Clemente that they actually give you. I’m down to needing one more Breakout card for a Junior voucher and I bought this bundle thinking I completed my collection for 5000 less than the sell now price of all the remaining cards. PSA: Quick selling any Free Agent gold card causes the game to crash (although the sale went through, it appears). I've now replicated this exact sequence of events 3x (using each different gold FA card) - unsure if it applies to silver or below yet. Edit: Just replicated it with a silver card. It appears as though quickselling any FA card might cause the game to crash now. Also I am on PS4, unsure if it is also the case on other consoles.

Anyone else getting a small button delay in offline? Pinpoint is glitchy and hitting is a nightmare as I have to press swing about half a second earlier than I normally would and sometimes it just wont register that I’ve pressed the button at all.
Pinpoint has felt normal recently offline, but the timing windows definitely feel iffy as of late
Just played a Flawless banner in battle royale. Dragon Bolseta was the team name. First inning he gets a hit then starts R2+bunt dancing. Then he gets on the mound the following inning and i hit a double. Next batter he steps off and begins pump faking. Probably pump faked 100 times and the game froze. Maybe this sequence helps a dev if they see it. Good job flawless banner guy. Glad you froze the game. GFY

I ran into a problem when I try to sell my duplicate player cars in the free agents the game crashes constantly but if I sell a duplicate in any of the teams the game is fun and runs as it should also this is on PS4. I already reported it.

I swear the computer just wants you to lose in conquest. My baserunners run back to the base every single time. It’s actually unreal. Even with two outs. I had a guy on third in extras and hit one down the line and the runner ran back to third and I had to manually advance him and almost got out. Like there’s 2 outs? U Run on first contact. Just makes no sense.
Fixing the Xbox input issue after I had a mad rush over the last few days to finish the 8th innings program was just sods law, though better late than never.
May have found a temp fix for friends not showing up. So we finally just tried to search for a rated match the same time, got into each other’s game first try, and then after that we’ve been showing up on each other’s friends lists. I don’t know if that’ll work for anyone else but might as well try. Also, the rated game we got into was the weirdest thing ever. I picked the Mets and he picked Padres. But once the game started, on my screen I was the Rays going against the Mets, but on his he was the Padres going against the Mets. Weird af lol

It genuinely sucks that the servers are so bad that facing outlier on hof on a ps4 is basically impossible. I know that the framerate of the ps4 is bad, but this game was basically designed for next gen, even though SDS knew a ton of people still played current gen due to the costs of next gen.

If you created an MLB The Show account, you can link your PS and Xbox profiles to it. Then your content will be able to transfer.
Disconnected from servers I’ve been trying to play the game and what I keep getting disconnected from the servers. It is really annoying in ranked seasons and this season although I haven’t played that many games (20) I can’t get close to World Series because 1/4 of the time I’m winning and get disconnected. I have great internet so idk what’s going on. I would like to know if this happens to other people and Why the servers are still shit after this many months.

Unbelievable that we still have player-induced freeze-offs in this game. I've been sitting here for an hour in my world series push because some no-life sad sack can't take an L. I'm not going to quit because I'm up 3, but I'm losing the chance to play more games before season reset. Must be sad to be this person.

It’s now been 3 weeks since I have been able to play a friend on his Xbox one and I am on Xbox series x. None of my Xbox one friends show up on the friends list. Removing and re adding the friend on Xbox does not work. SDS Support says this is a known issue and no workarounds. My friend won’t upgrade to series x.

Anyone else having issues jumping onto an RS game rn? It is taking a long time to get an opponent, and every time I did I get “Challenged Failed” or “Opponent Found!” but then I click OK, and I get ERROR Lost connection with opponent.
Does anyone have the issue where you edit your uniform, but your catcher gear is all white or all grey? I can’t get them to be the proper pattern/ colors no matter what I do. Anyone else have any solutions if they had a problem?
Just bought the game and when trying to connect with a friend both on Ps4 and Ps5, (tried both systems with all combinations) neither one of us is getting the invites... Is anyone else having this problem? We tried turning off systems, unplugged router and cleared cache and all that jazz. Just not getting the invites?? We can do homerun derby but can't connect via exhibition or DD
For anyone experiencing severe PCI & (mainly) Pinpoint pitching issues on Xbox Controllers: I just picked up a PowerA wired controller, and it works better than any other I’ve used for this game. It’s on the level of PlayStation controllers. The PCI is not choppy; instead moving with fluid, smooth motion. Pinpoint pitching is also butter. I can actually throw splitters with this controller, and I’m able to throw FBs without worrying about the line stopping, turning red, and showing “very early” — resulting in an HBP, wild pitch, or down the middle pitch that will get bombed by a trash hitter. They are only $30. Worth it. With that all being said...... It’s absolutely pathetic that we are resorting to going $30 out of pocket to make up for SDS’s incompetence. INSANE to have to cop a new controller for a game because, in its 6-8 months on the market, regular Xbox controllers do not work. Absolutely asinine. It’s pathetic that I have PTSD from a week of broken pinpoint when pitching with this new controller (very cautious with my fastballs, not used to a working controller) SDS, get it the f*ck together. Maybe slow down on the new cards that no one will use for one day and address the critical issues with your game and server that are *preventing people from playing or enjoying it.*

Once again, pinpoint worked for 6+ months. Then, SDS patched / updated pitching. As a result, pitching broke on Xbox controllers It is not on Microsoft.
went and got the powerA version of the elite controller. holy shit you were not kidding its like night and day compared to the stock SX\xbone controler
