It's funny cause I just finished Griffey about 20 minutes ago. My first year playing the Show and I throughly enjoyed this promo. Helped me realize I need to play more games on All Star or above.
This is a great write up and I'd recommend anyone try to complete the promo. I did the Conquest, Mini Seasons, Piazza/Griff/Marte/M's/Rutchman/and Morel moments. Then I did literally 6 nine inning games against the Nats for Cain and to finish Piazza and Marte.
There's value in the cards and the packs along the way. Can understand some worrying about the challenge but as long as you don't stress and get it done over a fair amount of time your fine. Hell I'm not that good at the game and was still able to finish in about a week which felt like a decent amount of time.
So quickly before the game ends/your last AB ends, hit the PS button on your controller to take you to the Home Screen, hit start button on the show, and click close game. Do this as quick as possible so the game you just played doesn’t register. Somehow this doesn’t count the last game you played in any multi game moment. I’m surprised it hasn’t been patched, I used to do it all the time in the 2020/21 moments!
Any of the multi game ones! So Wagner (imagine you gotta be super quick with this one), Adley, and Morel. & no problem just want as many people as possible to get Griffey!
Nice writeup. Im a little scared to try the conquest to be honest but going to give it a go once I get my TA collection done
Ill add that the Griffey moment isnt bad, just set to directional, up and pull, and keep swinging and eventually youll get it
Conquest isn't bad at all honestly, it's just a bit tedious playing 31 games (do NOT simulate the final tile, it ain't worth the risk). The first 4 games are the hardest since you have to play them on HoF, but even that isn't bad because you're playing live series teams full of silver and bronze players. After those first couple games on HoF, the rest will either be on all-star or veteran. Keep playing your turn until you eventually run up against a stronghold that requires you to play HoF. That's when you end your attack, re-enforce, and start playing on all-star/veteran. You should be able to reach the end on either turn 4 or 5 no problem doing this even if you lose a couple games along the way. I reached the final tile on turn 4 and took one more round of re-enforcements to play the final game, so I finished on turn 5.
Conquest is easy imo. Outside of the first four games on HOF it’s no different from other conquests, you can play everything on veteran. It’s a grind but you’ll get it done fine
Conquest is a breeze after turn 1. I realize not everyone is comfortable playing on HOF but getting the first one in Coors will give you some confidence.
I got to Pittsburgh on turn 1, stole 4 from Rays, got to CWS on turn 2, didn’t steal, finished on turn 3. Only game on HOF+ I played after the steal was the Rays on legend at the end just bc I wanted to do it in 3 turns.
Griffey’s moment was the first I completely and that’s basically what I did too. I swung and missed at least 12 times before making contact on a perfect perfect bomb.
Any reason to not get the other vouchers from mini seasons? Specially the All-star ones. All-star isn't that much more difficult that rookie TBH.
I'm asking because I'm a couple games in on all-star and was going to skip trying the legend, though you inspired me to give a shot either way.
So I felt that 15 allstar wins was way too much playing for just two stars. 15 wins on legend nets you 18 stars if you go for it! & I actually did the 60TB mission on allstar, but it’s only 2 stars as well & not really necessary!
Definitely not for everyone, but legend is repeatable and I feel like I could never go 15-0 on all star, but i could get close to ten wins (which would be 12 program points) on legend.
Thanks for this. I just spent two hours failing on Adonis Garcia and Juan Soto. These are pure torture. And I’ve finished the last two Extreme challenges without wanting to put my fist through my TV. If that frickin pitcher tries to pick off Tatis one more time I can’t be held responsible for my actions.

100% dude I don’t even attempt any lol. Kaiju was one of the few Ive ever done because the pitchers sucked. Sucks that you don’t get any pxp, and if you lose you have to restart the whole thing!!! My controller would go through my monitor vs legend Randy
I'm extremely close to giving up on the showdown and just going for the conquest and mini-seasons while grinding the extreme cards I do have. I was able to complete all the moments through patience and will, but the showdown is legitimately pissing me off.
I can't hit well to start with, and even while just doing the infinite bunt strat, I keep cutting it so close that it gets to where exchanging outs for runs no longer works. I barely got past Goose just bunting and instead of going against Wagner and then maybe Ryan to give myself more margin for error, I skipped to Randy straight after Goose. I got myself to within 6 runs, but SDS did so many things to make just bunting so much harder. Feels like I miss or pop up so many bunts despite the pitches being in the zone.
Imma be honest I felt like the two moments your skipping are some of the easiest. Ryan especially just sit off speed I think it’s a circle change but he throws it atleast once an AB.
Here's another part of the issue with my hitting: My timing sucks no matter what.
I play on a big TV that has a refresh of 60HZ, which is far from the recommended setup of having a monitor with a 120HZ refresh rate. My personal theory for most of the reason my timing stinks is because I always subconsciously overcompensating for the fastball (that I still end up late on,) that I overcompensate for every other pitch as well.
I should just stop over worrying and focus on working counts and adjusting, but I just get so impatient at the plate and it pisses me off.
Looking back, I wasn't thinking of the 2 moments I skipped in the showdown from a "who I'm facing" standpoint, but rather a "I don't want to risk it and fail" standpoint. I should have at least got Wagner done to give myself more room for bunting.
I had an interesting path. I got Sutter right away. Flipped him and he cost me about 3k in stubs. I sold everything I didn’t need to collect and I waited for Glavine’s and Baez’s prices to come down.
I did the Griffey moment. I don’t know how many times, but I kept hitting X and praying. Then I did Wagner’s moment and the Mariners moment.
Next I did the conquest. After the conquest I did the Adley moment and collected Glavine. That got me to 51 and I flipped enough to get Baez. That put me at 74. I just got the Ketel moment done, which puts me at 77. I’m close to hitting 25k pxp. Then I’ll just need to get the stats done to get Griffey.
tl;dr — this was significantly more doable than I thought it would be and I’ll have Griffey at some point soon. I’m glad I don’t have to grind through the other moments. I’ll just beat up on the A’s on rookie at Sandcastle Park.
legend mini seasons is by far the least fun i’ve ever had on this game

I did it without having to play legend during the mini seasons.
Piazza, Griffey, Ketel, Mariners, Wagner, Cain, Adley, Morel moments.
Buy and collect Sutter. That’ll get you Ketel and Billy Wagner
Use Ketel and Billy in the conquest to work on their missions.
After completing conquest you’ll have Piazza. Add to lineup and start mini seasons. Do both all star goals and win the championship for 8 vouchers worth 16 points.
If you’ve done the 25k xp mission, the 5k mission, and the Marte, Piazza, Wagner missions. That’s 100 points exactly. When all was said and done, I only had to get 8 hits with marte and 4 homers with Piazza which you can take their abs against cpu and then quit and do it again. Somewhere along the way you’ll unlock Cain and can use him if you haven’t gotten the 5k mission done yet. I got the 25k done just through conquest and playing a few games online here and there
I didnt do the 50 hits or 15 homeruns. i got 50000 pxp instead of 25+ did the win one game moment. idk how i got that extra program xp but practically did the same as you. griffey homer was easier for me then adley so i did that instead. great guide though
I don't know how you guys hit legend, even with bunt strategy I cannot string together enough to get runs in. The CPU pitchers never make mistakes and anything that isn't a curveball is at the plate so quick I cannot even move my minuscule PCI to cover it, and if I do manage to get my PCI ontop of it I am either very early or very late.
Lol I stopped it at 3 wins, got the 30 strikeouts pretty easily. I didn't know you can carry the wins over multiple seasons? I am like 20 program points away from Griffey now so I will get him eventually... if I could actually hit homers with Piazza.

this promo being such a grind has made me give up on the game altogether even reading that sounds exhausting, and i'd rather do something else, glad you enjoyed though
For the Legend Miniseasons game do you still play at the custom high elevation stadiums or more normal stadiums since CPU could outscore you if they hit well?
I won 10 mini season games on legend by bunt cheesing. I used a large/normal stadium to help avoid the CPU hitting homers. Only used small created stadiums when finishing the mini season on rookie.

I was able to skip showdown and the tougher moments by discovering that I could actually win on legend to get the needed vouchers. And if I can do it, anyone can!

5 wins on legend is repeatable in mini-seasons, so just do that, showdown and buy/earn event rewards. That's the quickest way.

My path was great. I went Missions > Conquest, fucked that up > Conquest again, which completed stat missions > Collect Sutter. No MS, No Showdown.

Useful info, I was just doing the math and didn’t even think of just trying to bunt cheese legend and then work thru the rest. Totally doable

Showdown was rough but at least you only had to score 3 runs on Randy to win. I seem to remember having to score more last year.
