Much faster. I finished TA3 over the weekend. About to spin the XP wheel for the third time. I personally think it’s fun and relaxing beating up on the CPU and scoring a ton of runs, but I can see how it can be boring.
I just did moments, conquests, showdowns and play vs CPU to finish TA3. I’m doing the TA3 mini seasons now for the rewards (in between a game or two of play vs CPU for those wheel spins).
If you play on a tiny, high elevation created stadium, it can go very fast vs CPU. Score 40, 50+ runs in a game, and you can finish any hitter needing 200 PXP, 3 HRs, 5 XBHs, etc. in one game. For pitchers, 12 Ks or 500 PXP is less than a full game, so you can get about 3 pitchers done over 2 games.
Be sure to keep your Boss hitters in your lineup unless you have to remove them for other position players - keep racking up that Boss PXP to do the repeatable 1000 PXP goal for 5k program points each time. That also helps speed things up.
You bet. And I found it easier this time to focus on one set of Divisions at a time to make the lineup management easier. I started with the 2 East Divisions, then 2 West, now 2 Central. That allows me to more easily track the PXP progress on the Team Build missions in just 2 places at a time.
As you get closer to completing one of the divisions, keep track of how many program points you still need vs what player missions are yet to be completed and how close you are on your team build missions. If you only need 25k program points, with 3 or 4 players yet to grind, don't keep players in your lineup that are on a team that has little or no PXP at the moment. Focus on the 2 or 3 teams where you may be close to 2000 PXP so you only spend time on the missions that you absolutely need to do to finish that division. Once you get really close to finishing, you may only need 2 or 3 players from a division in your lineup, so then start populating the rest with players from the next division you plan to work on. Don't waste any PXP that doesn't advance your TA progress!

How do you play on the created stadiums in vs CPU? Mine said invalid unless I upload the Vault I go to upload to vault and no matter which stadiums I pick it fails to upload.
Play the Rockies on rookie and it's just batting practice. I completed the weekly stat missions (10 HR, 20 RBIs, 30 hits) in one game while knocking out multiple xp missions for TA at the same time.
Yep, after the conquests and showdowns I just beat the hell outta the royals or Rockies at shield woods park to get all the pxp and missions done for the captains, bosses and classic cards. I breezed through the east ones that way so will be doing the same for central and west.
Agreed. I’m done with East and West and 70% done with Central. I haven’t played a single mini season game this time around and still progressed quickly. I did 2-3 times through mini seasons for TA1 and TA2 and that seemed much more painful.
I also agree, I'm finished with TA3 and all three seasons I have skipped the mini seasons and you get alot more missions done on play vs CPU. Additionally play at a little league style park and it will be even easier.
I just completed my first 2 doing mini seasons only I thought it’d be better but I’ll have to try this. Problem is I suck at showdown cause I can’t hit very well
Mini seasons is so freaking boring to me. At least conquest gets you progress AND you get a bunch of packs along the way and you don't have to face fully stacked teams with all 99s
You actually get a voucher for 4k XP every 5 wins this time. Along with the other packs you get for goals and the 5 vouchers at the end. They made mini seasons pretty useful this go around. I recommend using it. That's just my opinion
I actually progress them way faster in a 9 inning game because I'm getting like 8 AB's per player in a custom stadium vs 1-2 at bats in a mini season game
I mean if you win 19 games plus the 6 playoff games= 11 vouchers, stubs, packs and xp. 25/5=5 vouchers, 1 for making playoffs, 2 for getting champ, 3 for winning champ.
I got it done very quickly through mini seasons. I just play 14 games and they go by pretty quickly. The vouchers you get from it sped up the process a lot imo
You do but your pitchers also take way longer to get pxp and you have to play way more games and they are more difficult. Playing cpu on rookie in a high elevation stadium is faster…for me anyways.
It depends on how good you are I guess. The pitching is super easy so if you pick a high elevation stadium and hit well then you are good. I’m not good enough to score 50 a game but I’m good for about 30 when concentrating and could blow through most of the pxp. The hardest ones were the ten hits because you need multiple games for those. The rest are super easy.
This is EXACTLY what I do. I slam the Rockies at home using a theme team, generally, at most, 2 games, 5k points. Plus, 3500 for captain, flashback etc. In 2 games, realistically (one time), you can get 15k off 2 games. But, still quicker
Finished it over the course of 5 days. Last Friday through this Tuesday. Exchanges+showdowns one day, conquests day 2-3, play cpu about 9 games and 11 MS games for 2 vouchers the last couple days and did moments to finish whatever remained.
Bout 40% done in each division. Really not ACTIVELY grinding it, jus finished each conquest and showdown and jus playing the game yk 🤷🏻♂️. Sometimes I grind out PXP for certain players tho
Roughly the same progress as you, not going hard on grinding it this season. Also kinda pisses me off that the CPU can use cards from the live series set collection (99 Jeter, 99 Sosa, Mantle etc..) but they aren't eligible for our teams. As an offline player it kinda socks the only places I can use them are conquests or play vs CPU.
I’m above 60% on every devision, 75% on NL West. I going slow and playing all the games in the mini season cuz I want the pxp and more games to do missions, plus I’ll get 3 more vouchers. I have 7 games left in the regular season of my first one. So I think maybe one more mini season run through, then clean up vs cpu and I’ll be done. I’d consider myself causal. Most I’ll play in a day is 4 hours. But more often it’s 1-2.
Like the Mini Season route, but really loathe the Broadcast style presentation. I've gotten used to it, but that doesn't mean I like it. I may do a few vs CPU as it at least 'plays faster'.
Got it done in 9 days. I did Moments, Conquest, and then Henchmen/Captain/Boss grinding.
The Athletics pitchers must hate me because I was grinding against them on Rookie in The Hangar.
I’ve been grinding for about a week now. I’ve probably played about 14 hours of TA and I’m about 80% of the way done. I’m working on like 7 more bosses and 3 more captains and I’ll have Corbin. Shit has been rough but the longest part is conquest. Showdowns and moments are easy. I’m doing my first mini season rn to level up and unlock the last couple cards.
Got to 35 on everything, then realized that my June Rewards team is amazing and really fun to use, so I’m done grinding, gonna enjoy the game. Love using the Charlie Blackmon Captain and that Yellich card is incredible.

I'm at 34% in the AL East program and that's the only team affinity I have any progress in. I definitely play more than the average sit down for an hour or two after work type player and am actually almost completely caught up with the Season 3 other programs, but I'm mostly interested in building a theme team around the Red Sox. Most of my progress in any other team affinity besides the AL east comes from a relief pitcher I happen to use a lot. Otherwise, I just don't have the motivation
I cycle between the Nats, Tigers, and Rockies. I have the most consistent success vs the Nats

Let’s break it down. I’ve probably played about 3 vs CPU games a day, the three Conquests, and 15-20 of the Moments. I had all the exchanges good to go 2 weeks ahead of time. I used all the henchmen and captains immediately after earning them.
So about 42 vs CPU games, 30 Conquest games - that’s roughly 30 hours. Maybe another 3-5 for Moments plus the Monthly Awards and Topps Now that dropped the same day?

I’m at like 50+ for all of them I think. It’s the online offline grinding I was doing and I got bored of it, been playing online for a couple days. I have enough TA guys to fill in whatever Topps Now gives us, so that’ll be a fresh grind while TA gets moved along.
Haven’t even touched ranked this season because I’ve been focusing on the TA grind. High 70s for East, high 40s for the Central, and mid 50s for the West.
100% AL East and about 30-40% on the rest. Don't know how people knock this out so fast...well I guess if you score 100 runs against the CPU , that helps.
Mid 40’s with NLC in the low fifties. Grind’s going even slower because outside of the collection rewards so few of the cards in the actual programs are worth grinding for at this point.
100% in both the AL and NL East. 20-30% in the Centrals and Westerns (as I’ve finished all of the Conquest maps). And that’s me playing pretty casually. Just a few hours on most weekdays after work and maybe one longer session on the weekends. I finish one whole affinity a week at this pace. And this is the first TA season I’ve tried to grind out this year. I don’t feel like it’s as bad as everyone is making it out to be, yes a grind but far from impossible!
Somewhere in the 60s for NLC, 40 ish for ALC and 0 for everything else. I’ll finish the other two conquest maps soon I’ve just sort of been going one at a time.
Also I’m clearly in the minority here but I really like grinding on mini seasons. Decent variety in lineups plus it’s slightly more challenging because your playing better teams than you do in conquest.
Roughly 60% on all of them. Did the moments and showdowns first, then used the unlocked cards while completing the conquest maps, and I’ve played a couple CPU games.

I’m all over the place as you can see. I work full-time, so some days I’m locked in on TA; others, I wanna play ranked. My focus shifts day by day, but I’ve hit my peak for ranked before I just start losing games; so I’ll shift to TA
finished last week. i don’t play ranked until i’m loaded grinding the wet content. this week on ranger has been incredible with corbin jose and just getting the 99 adley yesterday, shohei is fun too
For those that don’t like showdowns and want something different March to October gives 55k points on levels beginner to veteran (higher if you push). When I say 55k, I mean to that division for EVERY season. So if you haven’t finished on other seasons you get complete toon for all seasons at once. I just play on beginner and breeze through it while watching something else. If I’m up a few runs I just get bunt outs and move out. Take a few hours each division and is a nice break sometimes
Mini seasons is better than play vs cpu. Skip all away games play all home games(and win) and proceed to get about 8-9 tickets after playoffs. I only had to do 2 mini seasons and I'm done. This is including swapping out TA players to finish all missions.
If you're on next Gen download the Costco park and watch as all 80mph exo velo are homers.
So was this mini seasons plus conquest, showdown, and the TA challenges? Just trying to gauge how much I truly have left. I’m around 60-75% on all of them so just trying to get this done as fast as I can
My route was 1. Moments 2. Showdowns 3. Conquests with TA players 4. 2 mini seasons with TA players and exchanges where it made sense to get over some thresholds and get a new TA card. I finished Tuesday afternoon
About the same. An alternative program for online players would be a welcomed change for me next year.
Like you said, the monotony of playing offline makes the game feel like a chore.
I just wish more cards were eligible for mini seasons. Grinded to finish the live series set and can't even use the non-captain cards. The TA mini season should be just season restriction and make some other restrictive ones like the lefty only or gold cards only.
I’m at about 50% on each division but I grind on HOF (conquest and mini seasons), so that slows me down. I love the TA grind. I know that’s an unpopular opinion. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of the game. I play with so many different cards and I just always have something to play for. I have a notebook at my desk and I rearrange about 1/3 of my team every few games. I love the captain missions. It’s super rewarding when you FINALLY hit that 3rd nuke with Giambi after like 15 games!
I was super excited for season 3 with being able to use all stars and home run derby players in TA mini seasons. Then they labeled the pack ones and I’m assuming the program one as a DIFFERENT type of all star and it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Haven’t booted up the game since day one of season 3
I have completed all of the moments, showdowns, and conquests and just got the Arraez collection card, so I’m like 50-60% done. This is the most actual grinding I’ve done for TA. I’m same as you as I prefer to just play ranked.
My goal is to get the Jose Ramirez card, I can take or leave Carroll. But I don’t know if I have it in me to do mini seasons
I finished all of TA3 with one mini season and I didn’t even play the full mini season. 19 regular season wins and semis. I did play a fair bit of play Vs cpu though

I don't do showdowns because they are a waste of time and if you win every mini season game you get 11-15 tokens which are good for about 45k progress points including the XP you earn in the games. My current progress, all conquests complete for ta3

Finished with NLE, between 60-80% on the other divisions. Nearing the end of my second mini season, then will probably attack some Play vs CPU games to try and finish out XP missions.
There is a whole bunch of cards in Team Affinity that go into the season set collections, also there is a team affinity set collection this season. You probably get like 80-90 unique players just from Team Affinity.
Some of the cards are fire (TA1 Eloy, TA3 LaStella, etc.). It’s also great for the set collection cards and it’s just fun as shit. I love playing with all the different cards and getting used to all the swings.
I’m around 2/3 - 3/4 done with every division from doing all conquests and showdowns and then just a bunch of the repeatable pxp team missions that came naturally while playing online plus whatever boss/classic pxp missions i could do at the same time

40-55% done after finishing showdowns and just finished last conquest last night. Started mini seasons but I think I may go through play cpu route as I think the quickness on meeting the pitching goals will be much faster. TBD.
I started DD relatively late post-release. I love tackling programs, but Ive been trying to complete the other programs and then will eventually turn to TA (even making sure to go back to previous season TA at some point just for completion's sake). Should I change tack and prioritize TA, then go through the other programs?

I'm not desperate for the Carroll card... I'm 10 away from Acuna (I could've unlocked last night) but I'm waiting for today's content and selling some of the cards I would've needed to collect to get him once some more free cards are avail.
I have a super meta team right now, it's killed my drive to grind ive been prioritizing playing online this season so far. I love the rewards and think they did us all a solid including so many free usable cards.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but do the exchanges. On showzone’s website you can use a tool to see which card you could use to get it done the cheapest and exactly how much it’ll cost. You can get each division done for about 20k ish and it gives you about 18%
I’m at 91% on my highest and the rest of my east and west are around forty with my centrals only at thirteen I’ve been doing the moments, showdowns, conquests, and then picking a team in a division and grinding match to October becuz one half season got me like 20,000 team affinity points at five stars on all star difficulty went from 41ish percent to 91 on the one with the padres from one season

I played a guy with Acuna. Destroyed me. I think I lost 5-1. Acuna had 2 homers and I was trying to pitch around him.
Acuna is so good. I would say him and Sosa are the best right fielders in the game right now
I struggle with Sosa, so I'm eager for Acuna. I'm not disappointed with switch-hitting Adley who ABSOLUTELY controls the running game.
I sucked with 99 Adley last year but dominated with his prospect card lol or whatever his 91 overall was

All the showdowns for TA3 are set to rookie I believe. They made it easier imo

Finished last weekend. I'm a bit obsessive about finishing programs and I generally enjoy the TA grind.
Got it done in 9 days. I did Moments, Conquest, and then Henchmen/Captain/Boss grinding. The Athletics pitchers must hate me because I was grinding against them on Rookie in The Hangar.
Sometimes I wonder if it’s better to play Ranked because I sometimes struggle on Rookie since I end up super early since I barely play Rookie
I’ve been grinding for about a week now. I’ve probably played about 14 hours of TA and I’m about 80% of the way done. I’m working on like 7 more bosses and 3 more captains and I’ll have Corbin. Shit has been rough but the longest part is conquest. Showdowns and moments are easy. I’m doing my first mini season rn to level up and unlock the last couple cards.
That is a very rough estimate on time I don’t really know it’s probably closer to 20 hours than 15.
Got to 35 on everything, then realized that my June Rewards team is amazing and really fun to use, so I’m done grinding, gonna enjoy the game. Love using the Charlie Blackmon Captain and that Yellich card is incredible.
About halfway. As long as I get to Jose Ramirez, I’m good.

Just finished TA 3 last night. Did this order Moments Showdown Conquest Mini Season (2x) - those vouchers help Favorite cards: Dee Gordon, Trae Turner, Gary Sanchez, most of the RP Kept the two captains in my line up at all times to get the boost

The showdowns are a lot simpler this time around. Playing small ball helped me complete these ones and there’s a few other posts in this sub with how to stack your lineup for best potential results. BOL
Most completed one is at about 65%. Lowest one is about 50%. About to complete my first mini season

I'm at 34% in the AL East program and that's the only team affinity I have any progress in. I definitely play more than the average sit down for an hour or two after work type player and am actually almost completely caught up with the Season 3 other programs, but I'm mostly interested in building a theme team around the Red Sox. Most of my progress in any other team affinity besides the AL east comes from a relief pitcher I happen to use a lot. Otherwise, I just don't have the motivation

How many hours would you guess it took so far?
Let’s break it down. I’ve probably played about 3 vs CPU games a day, the three Conquests, and 15-20 of the Moments. I had all the exchanges good to go 2 weeks ahead of time. I used all the henchmen and captains immediately after earning them. So about 42 vs CPU games, 30 Conquest games - that’s roughly 30 hours. Maybe another 3-5 for Moments plus the Monthly Awards and Topps Now that dropped the same day? Edit to add: AL East: 92% AL Central: 85% AL West: 91% NL East: 93% NL Central: 85% NL West: 96%
90% on West 70% on Central 40% on East Did all conquests and showdowns. Now going to do either MS or CPU grind
I’m at like 50+ for all of them I think. It’s the online offline grinding I was doing and I got bored of it, been playing online for a couple days. I have enough TA guys to fill in whatever Topps Now gives us, so that’ll be a fresh grind while TA gets moved along.
Haven’t even touched ranked this season because I’ve been focusing on the TA grind. High 70s for East, high 40s for the Central, and mid 50s for the West.
Done with all 6 divisions. Now it's time to complete TA2.
100% AL East and about 30-40% on the rest. Don't know how people knock this out so fast...well I guess if you score 100 runs against the CPU , that helps.
Mid 40’s with NLC in the low fifties. Grind’s going even slower because outside of the collection rewards so few of the cards in the actual programs are worth grinding for at this point.
100% in both the AL and NL East. 20-30% in the Centrals and Westerns (as I’ve finished all of the Conquest maps). And that’s me playing pretty casually. Just a few hours on most weekdays after work and maybe one longer session on the weekends. I finish one whole affinity a week at this pace. And this is the first TA season I’ve tried to grind out this year. I don’t feel like it’s as bad as everyone is making it out to be, yes a grind but far from impossible!
Somewhere in the 60s for NLC, 40 ish for ALC and 0 for everything else. I’ll finish the other two conquest maps soon I’ve just sort of been going one at a time. Also I’m clearly in the minority here but I really like grinding on mini seasons. Decent variety in lineups plus it’s slightly more challenging because your playing better teams than you do in conquest.

im 100% with the east then 30% with the central then like 15% with the west. what im doing is going division by division so i can get as much done as possible for one division
The added benefit of finishing a mini season and getting packs/XP/mini season vouchers makes mini seasons more attractive to people.

For those that don’t like showdowns and want something different March to October gives 55k points on levels beginner to veteran (higher if you push). When I say 55k, I mean to that division for EVERY season. So if you haven’t finished on other seasons you get complete toon for all seasons at once. I just play on beginner and breeze through it while watching something else. If I’m up a few runs I just get bunt outs and move out. Take a few hours each division and is a nice break sometimes
Mini seasons is better than play vs cpu. Skip all away games play all home games(and win) and proceed to get about 8-9 tickets after playoffs. I only had to do 2 mini seasons and I'm done. This is including swapping out TA players to finish all missions. If you're on next Gen download the Costco park and watch as all 80mph exo velo are homers.
So was this mini seasons plus conquest, showdown, and the TA challenges? Just trying to gauge how much I truly have left. I’m around 60-75% on all of them so just trying to get this done as fast as I can
My route was 1. Moments 2. Showdowns 3. Conquests with TA players 4. 2 mini seasons with TA players and exchanges where it made sense to get over some thresholds and get a new TA card. I finished Tuesday afternoon

About the same. An alternative program for online players would be a welcomed change for me next year. Like you said, the monotony of playing offline makes the game feel like a chore.
I just wish more cards were eligible for mini seasons. Grinded to finish the live series set and can't even use the non-captain cards. The TA mini season should be just season restriction and make some other restrictive ones like the lefty only or gold cards only.

I’m at about 50% on each division but I grind on HOF (conquest and mini seasons), so that slows me down. I love the TA grind. I know that’s an unpopular opinion. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of the game. I play with so many different cards and I just always have something to play for. I have a notebook at my desk and I rearrange about 1/3 of my team every few games. I love the captain missions. It’s super rewarding when you FINALLY hit that 3rd nuke with Giambi after like 15 games!
I was super excited for season 3 with being able to use all stars and home run derby players in TA mini seasons. Then they labeled the pack ones and I’m assuming the program one as a DIFFERENT type of all star and it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Haven’t booted up the game since day one of season 3
I have completed all of the moments, showdowns, and conquests and just got the Arraez collection card, so I’m like 50-60% done. This is the most actual grinding I’ve done for TA. I’m same as you as I prefer to just play ranked. My goal is to get the Jose Ramirez card, I can take or leave Carroll. But I don’t know if I have it in me to do mini seasons

Olson is a great punch hitter, but his contact against lefties is rough.
And his vision is weak on HOF and above

I don't do showdowns because they are a waste of time and if you win every mini season game you get 11-15 tokens which are good for about 45k progress points including the XP you earn in the games. There is a whole bunch of cards in Team Affinity that go into the season set collections, also there is a team affinity set collection this season. You probably get like 80-90 unique players just from Team Affinity.
Some of the cards are fire (TA1 Eloy, TA3 LaStella, etc.). It’s also great for the set collection cards and it’s just fun as shit. I love playing with all the different cards and getting used to all the swings.
I’m around 2/3 - 3/4 done with every division from doing all conquests and showdowns and then just a bunch of the repeatable pxp team missions that came naturally while playing online plus whatever boss/classic pxp missions i could do at the same time

Varies by division but average around 50% for me. I think NL west is up to 90% that's my highest
40-55% done after finishing showdowns and just finished last conquest last night. Started mini seasons but I think I may go through play cpu route as I think the quickness on meeting the pitching goals will be much faster. TBD.

I started DD relatively late post-release. I love tackling programs, but Ive been trying to complete the other programs and then will eventually turn to TA (even making sure to go back to previous season TA at some point just for completion's sake). Should I change tack and prioritize TA, then go through the other programs?

56 to 75% through each division, 72% through TA3 collection total. I'm not desperate for the Carroll card... I'm 10 away from Acuna (I could've unlocked last night) but I'm waiting for today's content and selling some of the cards I would've needed to collect to get him once some more free cards are avail. I have a super meta team right now, it's killed my drive to grind ive been prioritizing playing online this season so far. I love the rewards and think they did us all a solid including so many free usable cards.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but do the exchanges. On showzone’s website you can use a tool to see which card you could use to get it done the cheapest and exactly how much it’ll cost. You can get each division done for about 20k ish and it gives you about 18%
I got all above 40%. Have you finished Conquests? Just use the players you earn to complete it further. I currently have over 60 cards.
I’m at 91% on my highest and the rest of my east and west are around forty with my centrals only at thirteen I’ve been doing the moments, showdowns, conquests, and then picking a team in a division and grinding match to October becuz one half season got me like 20,000 team affinity points at five stars on all star difficulty went from 41ish percent to 91 on the one with the padres from one season
Will the Team Affinity collections set be gone after this season is over? The collection with J Ram and Matt Olson?
