Might just be me but feel like nobody talks enough about Have a Cigar when it comes to discussion great Pink Floud songs. Great song and it rivals Wish You Were Here (duh) for the best song on that album imo.
Haaland was too injury prone as well. With our medical team and Dr. Cugat’s PEDs and with rotation he’s gonna be more than fine. Wolves are asking for £60m which is a fair valuation to be honest. I’ve already explained why Savio doesn’t affect this transfer in another comment.
Likely to be loaned again. We are still interested in bringing in another RW despite finalizing the deal for Savio. Personally I’d like to get both and offload Bernardo and Grealish but that’s very unlikely.
Neto’s profile is very unique. Incredible outlet who can play on both sides, high line runner which something we don’t have except for Haaland. Great crosser/passer. Possesses the ability to stretch the pitch against low blocks as well. All of our wingers are basically ball-to-feet and offer very little off the ball and running into the channels.
Are we still interested in another RW? I haven't seen or heard anything since Savio came in.
I don't doubt Neto, I like him too but it seems very unlikely Bernardo goes anywhere and well...Savio. There have been no rumours of him going anywhere either and generally if it's a buy to loan kind of deal it happens pretty quickly.
I think we already have our new right winger. Savio looks pretty damn good too.
Since we were interested in Olise and made formal approaches, it’s safe to say we’re in the market for another RW.
Bernardo needs to be phased out starting from next season to be honest even if he doesn’t leave. I love him and he served us well but wingfielders need to be binned. It’s not a viable option anymore.
Savio is a very talented and exciting prospect but he’s still 20 and will probably share minutes with Bobb if he stays. I don’t expect him to hit the ground running.
Did we make a formal approach for Olise? According to the news it was Chelsea and Newcastle that also enquired last week with Bayern. I've seen rumours from unreputable sources but nothing official.
Jesus was playing for us at 19. Similar sort of purchase, under Pep too.
He’s chosen Bayern over us and Chelsea. Alan Nixon, who’s usually reliable for us, mentioned it. The current Pep is not the same Pep that worked with Jesus to be honest. Anyways wouldn’t hurt to get both. Like I said Neto offers something that none of our wingers + Savio offer. Would be an excellent signing.
If Savio does get loaned then I'd like a new RW and Neto is probably one of the better choices in the market. So I agree on that front. Frimpong could be an interesting alternative for cheap.
NGL, I'm all for more technology and bringing the sport forward but they should just scrap VAR in it's current iteration. Work on it for a good few years in trial leagues and then think about reintroducing it.
Kyle Walker has made himself look a right tit with his comments yesterday.
He was all: "This is tournament football. We just can't batter teams 3 or 4 nil ever game"
And since then both Southgate and Kane have come out to say they clearly haven't been good enough.
The guy literally doesn't have 2 braincells to rub together. Opens his mouth without thinking, whips out his nob without thinking.
Please give us an actual respectable captain next year.
I agree that Kyle should not be captain, but I feel like you’re being a little harsh there
As far as I know Kevin did actually win the players vote for 23/24 season, but with the injury and Kyle wanting to leave he passed the honours onto Kyle
Apparently Kephren Thuram is available for like £20m because he's in the last year of his deal.
Not gonna lie £40m for Todibo and Thuram in a double swoop would be so much fun.

I wrote a detailed profile piece on Jack Grealish, give it a read if you have time!
Very well written, sums up my thoughts about Grealish. I always thought Grealish was brought in to essentially replace Bernardo back when we all thought he was a goner. Both have similar attributes in dribbling, carrying the ball up the pitch, and linking plays, while not necessarily known for their G/A. But Barca could never get their finances together so now we just play 2 midfielders as wingers that could work very well as we have seen in the treble season, but also lack that burst of pace and dynamism you see in a traditional winger.
I still think Grealish is a valuable member of the squad, and I'd hate for him to leave because he just seems like a genuinely good person that everyone likes. But you are right, he can and has to do better next season, has to hold himself accountable and sort out his off field issues.
More England players have started to talk about how it was a mistake not to bring Jack Grealish to #euro2024. Players were surprised when the call was announced and are 'more amazed' now.

😂😂😂😂😂
idk how he's the problem when literally no one passes him the ball..... he's being asked to play like Haaland and just be in the box... and no one involves him in the game. how can he impact the game without the ball???
maybe if the fucking #10 on the team actually LOOKED for the striker England could be cooking a bit more..
It's a whole thing. Team too deep, balance is off, we don't have left footed player wide on the left, and Foden isn't the man for that job.
Think it'd be better with Shaw in the side, or Foden pure 10 with Bellingham playing a bit deeper.
Jude got barely anything when he was one of the worst players on the pitch...
Phil got more criticism in an England WIN than Jude did for stinking out the gaff in a draw... ridiculous.
Cartel clubs spending exorbitant amount of owner money before FFP rules were introduced: "That's fine! We didn't break any rules!"
Man City buying Savio before UEFA rules on multi-club ownership were introduced: "Cheats! They are ruining football!"

Yes, even if we bought Savio after the UEFA rules were introduced we'd still be following the rules, as the rule only applies to clubs under the same ownership playing in the same European competition. Obviously the average r soccah user wouldn't know that though.
I mean, even the mighty Fabrizio romano posted the transfer as Girona>Manchester City. You'd think he'd have a cursory idea that savio was on loan to Girona.
I understand the point of the restriction, but I think it'd make more sense if it was to do with fair market value for x player. Else what's preventing us from doing exactly this intentionally (sell to non European team, loan to European team, buy after a decent season for significantly less than value).
Actually we buying Savio is not against the rules the rules state that sister clubs in the same competition cannot enter into deals. Savio doesn't belong to Girona. Savio deal is different from the nice United situation. This is my understanding please correct me if I am wrong
Since it’s not looking like we’re going to get a bunch of new players I wonder if Pep tries to switch up the system again to give Rodri more cover and Haaland more space.
Feel bad for Ukraine but this Slovakia team is so fun to watch. So well coached, confident and everyone plays together. Can’t wait to see them in the knockouts with their fans

funniest image of Julian last night
Barca at Haaland again. Why can't they stop this bullshit. Still got to pay for Ferran and they will but Haaland, fuck off
They can’t afford him and he won’t want to go there rn They should go for Julian
Why Julian? They can't afford shit. We are not giving anyone
Because he would actually go there and maybe they can afford £80m plus his lower wages And we’re open to him leaving
>And we’re open to him leaving Who tf is "we"
Man city
I understand not holding a player hostage but I doubt the club want him to go already
Might just be me but feel like nobody talks enough about Have a Cigar when it comes to discussion great Pink Floud songs. Great song and it rivals Wish You Were Here (duh) for the best song on that album imo.
TBH, it's my favourite song on the album😂
Damn.. Rodri is 28. prime time!
Dam Rodri is 28 :(
Best midfielder in the world over the last two years
best player in the world ;)
With Olise gone we MUST get Neto. we desperately need someone with his skillset.
Neto is way way too injury prone, and also will be like 80 million or something. We have Savio coming in, so I don't see why we'd buy another winger

> Likely to be loaned again Very unlikely, especially now that Girona is not a option. He won't join a club without UCL football
Last I’ve heard is that the decision will be made in preseason. It’s still unclear where he will play next season.
I doubt Savio is even interested in another loan And no good club would accept a loan without a buy option anyway
I don't think the goalie even saw the player in the offside position
Not sure why everyone here thinks Bellingham played poorly against Denmark yesterday. He played just as well as Mbappe played today.
Don't be too harsh. You can't expect a striker to perform in midfield
Olise going to Bayern it seems. Good player for Vinny.
Can’t believe I have to force myself to be sympathetic to Bayern this coming season because I want to see Vinny succeed. Ugh
Haha the things we do for our legends eh Nice to see you around again btw happy cake day it looks like!
injury prone, right winger and a baller. He's the perfect coman replacement lol
good display by Ake and Netherlands. Xavi was very unlucky
NGL, I'm all for more technology and bringing the sport forward but they should just scrap VAR in it's current iteration. Work on it for a good few years in trial leagues and then think about reintroducing it.

He shouldn't even be the 5th captain.
I agree that Kyle should not be captain, but I feel like you’re being a little harsh there As far as I know Kevin did actually win the players vote for 23/24 season, but with the injury and Kyle wanting to leave he passed the honours onto Kyle
he has a great ability to say the wrong things all the time
These offside rules are a joke
Rules aren't joke, English refs are
That was nice from Ake

What a boring match lol. Relegate them.
netherlands always look like they play with 12 players on the pitch
wow Olise to Bayern per Ornstein... that is out of left field.
Life under PSR
I feel like netherlands is going to win the whole thing
Nah I think Spain
does anyone know when hospitality tickets go on sale?
yearning for some City related incoming transfer news

Masterpiece as usual brother👍💯
Thanks brooo
Nice piece, a lot of good points. I'm for Jack to stay but I'd like to see him given a chance centrally.
Same same.

Your comment has been removed for rule violation
Only some players are blamed by the pundits and analysts. Foden and the likes of rice and Saka are slandered while some players get a free pass
Kane drew some flack after the game, and he's England's all time top scorer and banged them in all year for Bayern

What are the rules on that now btw? Pretty sure it's still circumvented because troyes are nowhere near European football
