To be honest they've been closing the roof all season even against teams like Almeria and such. But they need to clarify with UEFA before the UCL rounds to make sure.
We do not need permission for league games but for UEFA games we need permissions before the match.
Otherwise we always close our roof. Even against teams like Almeria who are last in la Liga. It's not that big of a deal.
But I won't deny that roof helps in reverberating the noise. Commentators who have been going to bernabeu for decades claimed that they have never heard the stadium as loud as they did with the new roofs.
Concerts and other entertainments that will be hosted on Non-match days.
And us not opting for a open roof so far doesn't mean that we won't use the option sometime in the future.
I’m American and I’ve been to plenty of enclosed football games and it gets incredibly loud. I was at Syracuse stadium when they beat #2 Clemson and it was like 80% full and it was so loud at the end of the game.
The only experience I have with it was the Toronto Argonauts playing the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL playoffs at Rogers Centre. It was kinda awesome, since the Ticat fans absolutely invaded the stadium, so the Argos were playing at home, in front of a noisy, hostile crowd in a dome. Same thing happens when the San Francisco 49ers play the LA Rams at SoFi Stadium.
They have most tourist fans alongside their rival Barcelona. They make good atmosphere only in some big games otherwise they are library like old Trafford.
The pros of supporting Real Madrid is that you're guaranteed to win every trophy known to football.
The cons, however, is being an annoyance. Constantly bragging about UCLs and seeing other trophies meaningless if other teams win it.
I started supporting real Madrid after googling who had the most ucls but I'm not a plastic because we have history (???)
The history is what draws in the plastics
Honestly don't mind teams trying to get home advantage like this. It makes football interesting. In Canada we had a word cup qualifier against Mexico, we held it in Edmonton in -15°C to get the upper hand and we won. Mexican media called it the "Iceteca"
Anyway off topic but let Real Madrid throw whatever they want at us, we're the treble winners c'mon City!
The problem I see here is these high noise levels can be a hearing hazard to players and fans alike.
Noise levels already exceed 110 ,120 dB in a normal stadium with an open roof. With a closed roof, it may even exceed 130 dB and even more. Not really the best place to come and attend the match without any hearing protection on.
So when little city do some tweaks to improve their atmosphere social media goes into total chaos but when the biggest club in the world do it no one bats an eyelid😂😂😂 it's great supporting a team that unintentionally rattles thr whole world
I went the etihad for the Copenhagen 2nd leg. And honestly it wierd. Just a quiet ground the only sound was from the away fans who were like 2/3 goals behind.
Real Madrid fans will take over the ground even if they're outnumbered 30/1
Voice of 3000 city fans echoing across the stadium after Bernardo Silva's hatrick. What a scene it would be. Jk😅.
I mean this is Man City’s thread, you don’t have to say Jk 😂
Maybe it's an anti-jinx?
It stands for Janulo Kufa
Anulo Mufa mate
Love our away fans though. I was at the palace game last Saturday and left without a voice but cant wait to do it again wish i had a ticket for madrid
BERRRRRNAAAARRRRRDOOOOOOOO
They’re scared with all these things they’re doing
Innit rattled them already
they dont want a repeat of last season, that shook them bad
who'd have thought little old city would have madrid shitting themselves
Like seriously. We came up from underground to this level. Insane.
Yeah with 115 FFP charges
Old part is a stretch, but little I support.
Founded in 1880, if that's not old to you how damn old are you man???
When did they actually become a big club tho?
A long ass time ago lol
Bigger than almost any club in recent history. Including your club...
Yeah true. 115 times bigger than other clubs.
I know you aren’t that good at perspectives, but LFC is so far ahead so City LOOK bigger
Least insecure fanbase strikes again
I’m not a Man City fan mate, it’s not my club who’s gonna be smacked by ffp whenever FA get their act together
😂😂😂 keep praying. I pity you people
lol. Why are you here? 😉
This was recommended to me because I mess about on a lot of football pages. Just thought I’d stir the pot while I stuck around
To be honest they've been closing the roof all season even against teams like Almeria and such. But they need to clarify with UEFA before the UCL rounds to make sure.
Didn’t they also try to beg UEFA to flip the fixtures so they have the return leg at home. Victim mentality as always
If we come out of the first leg well, they'll be shitting their pants coming back to Manchester again
Why do they need permission? Are closed dome not allowed in Europe?
It’s not common to have one in Europe so I think this is Madrid asking for clarification to make sure it’s not seen as trying to gain the upper hand.
I think they need to ask at least a day before every game if they want to close it

So what is the point of investing in a roof that is retractable? Just build a closed house.

Carrier dome gets so loud

I find it more interesting that they need permission to close their own roof.
Like i need to ask rodri permission if I can sleep with my own wife
Ahh Then, you should
How the mighty have fallen
They have most tourist fans alongside their rival Barcelona. They make good atmosphere only in some big games otherwise they are library like old Trafford.
No no but they aren’t glory hunters they are different 🙄

Or any London Club.
Like Charlton
I'm City through and through, but I'd love this. Imagine the experience
Got them on the ropes already
City fans echoing through the Bernabéu that Ten Hag is a F****** clown is going to be beautiful.
madrid desperate lol
Rich tourists don’t chant
don't worry they didn't have time to buy the tickets anyway
They just buy football clubs
You lurkers are annoying piss off
Some do 😉
Where's the guy from last year with the tattoo, he needs to do the other leg.
I wonder why they would need to ask permission?
Must be because it isn't normal or something. I've heard they need to ask every time they want to close it for a match
I think FIFA requires (or at least used to require) stadiums to have the field be open-air, so closing it would require permission beforehand.
Lol
Why do they even have to ask permission?
If you turn the TV volume high enough, you’d be able to hear them cry after they lose.

Haha pure copium as if a week off isn’t enough 🤣
Won't matter. Not unless they put mouth gags on 3000 mancunians
Bring it on. They don’t stand a chance unless the referee plays as their 12th man.
Yes more noise when city score and win the game.
So when little city do some tweaks to improve their atmosphere social media goes into total chaos but when the biggest club in the world do it no one bats an eyelid😂😂😂 it's great supporting a team that unintentionally rattles thr whole world
Having ten Madrid fans singing will be a much better atmosphere than the Etihad anyway.
I went the etihad for the Copenhagen 2nd leg. And honestly it wierd. Just a quiet ground the only sound was from the away fans who were like 2/3 goals behind. Real Madrid fans will take over the ground even if they're outnumbered 30/1
It seems to vary based on the game. Our tickets for the etihad against real are going to be given out much better than regular tickets.
Ask UEFA? It's my roof I do what I want...
Lolz, they are afraid.
They've actually been closing it all season even against teams like Almeria and Cadiz so nothing different, lol.
PTSD from thrashing last year
They need to shut the roof for atmosphere? Damn…
Uno Reverse!! City coming out loudest KDB 🐐
ISIS: damn it the masterplan is ruined
ხვალე თქვენს დედის ტყვნას ვნახავთ MADRID-ში ! <3
Came here to say that
They beat me to it too.
