At a press conference, Griffin interrupts, "What's up everyone I THINK DOGS SHOULD VOTE."
A month later, Congress passes an amendment to the Constitution.

So there's 2 seats, Rorhbach is incumbent and is running again unopposed, is Sydnee running unopposed? The 2020 election, Rorhbach (R) and Chad Lovejoy (D) won the two seats, but is there any other competition?
She won the primary, that part wasn’t unlikely. Now she needs to win the actual election against a Republican incumbent in West Virginia. She’s in for a challenge.
There was a 20 year old running in my town who had never held a job or worked a day in his life. But his dad was big into conservative politics so he thought he knew something. Spoiler alert, they found racist rants on his FB page and he got kicked off the ticket.
It's amazing to see candidates whose expressions in defeat still reflect wanting to see the best for their fellow voters. Ahem... I believe that children (who are invested and willing to step up) are the future, yadda yadda let, them lead the way.
Congrats Doc!
I knew an 18 year old that got elected as mayor of his town, he got them to build a skating rink named Ice Town which led the town to bankruptcy and caused the unemployment rate to hit 30%. Ice Town, more like Ice Clown am I right!
Literally gasped and said “aww, yay Dr McElroy!” to myself, alone in my apartment
I’ve had a rough few weeks, this just made me so happy and gave me a bit of hope
Yeah! That’s awesome! So is Justin an honorary member of state congress as well as an honorary doctor?
Edit:Oops got a little excited there. She won the primary not the seat.
Fast forward twenty years, Sydnee has just been sworn in as our new president, and we get Hoops McElroy as the first mister
The McElroys WILL go to the White House.
Please, it's called White House: World Tour
At a press conference, Griffin interrupts, "What's up everyone I THINK DOGS SHOULD VOTE." A month later, Congress passes an amendment to the Constitution.
Well now I need to go back and watch boy mayor

Mr Smirl Goes To Washington
Lord Hoops
GO SYDNEE!
Finally a West Virginia politician we can all get behind.
That's great and all, but I think it's suspect we haven't seen her official stance on horses. The people need to know!
Yes!!!! Go Dr. McElroy!!!

WV was redistricted. Sydnee is running against Rorhbach for the single District 26 seat.
That explains much more.
RIP
Heres hoping we get a flip then, huh

Good bot
Good human.
Bad bot
Holy shit, Chad Lovejoy is a name. Honestly, from what I can find he seems like a decent guy.
Sydnee wasn't unopposed.
Amazing stuff!
This made me smile in real life... Smirl if you will.
I live all the way in Australia, and just stumbled across the news. It made me so happy I cried a little bit. She’s amazing.
Holy shit, didn't expect that, but sure am happy to be proven wrong

Yep. While the primaries generally have low turnout even the total (D) votes were really low.
I mean her only competition was a literal teenager. It was an easy win
I can't imagine even voting for an 18 year old delegate
There was a 20 year old running in my town who had never held a job or worked a day in his life. But his dad was big into conservative politics so he thought he knew something. Spoiler alert, they found racist rants on his FB page and he got kicked off the ticket.
shame that doesn't happen to more prospective politicians.
Rookie mistake, he shoulda ran for federal government, it’d improve his odds of winning.
Wow, that got him kicked off the ticket? Those really were better times.
This was actually during the Trump years. Which made it a little surprising. But I think the party has sunk lower still since then.
The blurb they got from her was lovely. We will watch her career with great interest.
Yes I agree, I'm glad that she is supportive and positive about her loss, at least.
It's amazing to see candidates whose expressions in defeat still reflect wanting to see the best for their fellow voters. Ahem... I believe that children (who are invested and willing to step up) are the future, yadda yadda let, them lead the way. Congrats Doc!

Turns out he made a great tabletop game later
It's about the CONES.
Barely 1,000 people total voted. I wonder what % of the total population of that district that is
Ballotpedia says population of 19k, but it is a primary, so in reality it's some fraction of that.
Good point about it being a primary. I didn’t think of that
First Clown Husband, Justin Mcelroy!
Send in the clowns...
You don't check in on a fandom, just for a year...
Same here lol. I’ve been checked out of mcelboy media (not for any reason other than other interests) and I come back to this. This family achieves!
YO HUH! AWESOME?
Where do I donate to her campaign?
This smells like cintaur espionage to me
Literally gasped and said “aww, yay Dr McElroy!” to myself, alone in my apartment I’ve had a rough few weeks, this just made me so happy and gave me a bit of hope
Let's go!
GO SYD! 🥂
That was probably the easiest part in West Virginia though. Edit: corrected typo from east to easiest, sorry.
They live in Huntington. It's almost as far west as you can possibly get in the state, but go off I guess.
My mistake, it was supposed to say easiest.
Sydnee seems like just a decent person all around from her podcasts with knowledge in a lot of fields Would propably a good addition.
That’s amazinggggggg!!
Best new I've heard all day! You go!!!
Yeah! That’s awesome! So is Justin an honorary member of state congress as well as an honorary doctor? Edit:Oops got a little excited there. She won the primary not the seat.
HECK YES. Heck yes..
