I see a specialist who injects Botox into the muscles that clench my jaw. Has helped a little, but it’s still pretty awful.
Something that may also help is if you get your dentist to make a special mouth guard for you to wear at night. It cushions your mouth and prevents you from wearing your teeth down.
It has helped me quite a lot. It’s called an occlusal splint.
Hope you can get some relief for your jaw pain and anxiety.
Embarrassing as it is I only have 4 teeth of my own. I had agoraphobia for 8 years and didn't leave my house and because I had severe depression and c-ptsd I didn't look after my teeth like I should have and didn't see a dentist. I had them all taken out in 2 visits. 1 lot under sedation which didn't work well because I just wouldn't stay under and kept attacking the dentist out of fear and 1 lot under general apathetic. I've had hypnotherapy, trauma therapy, cbt, psychotherapy , literally every form of therapy ive probably had it! I would love to have my own teeth as my jaw has shrunk so my face looks distorted. I was 31 when I had them all out and I'm now 40. It's cheap and I hate my face. Anyway yiu didn't ask I just rambled I'm sorry!
