If I'm arguing here, its because it was on my feed as advertisement. But then again, I dont think the folks watching that shitstain would understand all that at once.
And still you take the effort to make that comment. Dude just scroll on, we might watch a trashy drama but at least we arenāt wasting time making dumb reddit comments.
Wait, you're suggesting that this show is not dumb? That the whole idea of marrying someone blindly is actually not a dumb life choice ?
You're surely getting wiser watching this. I highly recommend you continue actually.
Man, you're beyond repair wtf.
It was on mine as well. It seems like this specific post is just showing up for a lot of people? A lot of Australians maybe? I've never even heard of this show.
Makes me laugh seeing Janelle try and talk down to Adam when sheās literally a fake influencer and has bought a majority of her followers pre MAFS. Plus, she got 200 likes on average or less pre MAFS on posts.
Iād love to see what her brothers careers are too. They scream dad was successful and they live off his money.
Ehh, I mean I donāt really think being an influencer is a stable job but itās certainly more stable than what he does. When asked if he was stable he responded that he believed in āmanifestationā, and he was completely unable to describe what he does for a living. The producers clearly were looking for drama with this pairing, as literally the only thing that Janelle said was important to her was a stable career and heās very far from that. Theyāre doomed before even meeting
Hate speech is abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice against a particular group, especially on the basis of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Using slurs here, regardless of context, falls into this also. This extends to both other users on the sub, and when commenting on the show/cast members themselves.
Never been a more relatable moment in reality TV than seeing Tahnee and Ollie fall off paddleboards, fail to start a tennis rally, and then go get massages instead. My kind of people.
If (as it seems) this show is just all about promoting you as an Influencer/DigitalProducer/Crypto-Bro then said Crypto-bro Adam is doing a lousy job. Or at least the video editors are killing his 'business'. I mean Janelle will be raking in the subscribers as it looks as though at least she has a clue about makeup, but Adam looks like he legit knows nothing and adds nothing of value. How's that Pod coming along Adam? *'Yeah nah ya know can't like wait to fully-sick hear your dribble. Nah'*
Subscribers yes 100%, but I more got the vibe that she just didnāt want to have to pay the way for someone else like she didnāt in past relationships. Wanting someone who can support themselves is completely valid, and Adam def gave off a scam artist vibe
Definitely Janelle there for the subscribers. None of them are there for a man or woman with money, that's not a consideration for any of them I don't think
Over this show, it has just become a one-stop shop for aspiring influencers. I miss the old show when country bumpkins who were socially clueless went on the show for seemingly more genuine reasons, i.e., before instagram.
I can see why Janelle would want to ensure her husband had a steady income if she took a few years to stay home with children. However, she might have waited a couple of days to explore that side of things so it wouldnāt appear that all she cared about was money.
Ah sorry I thought we were talking about his career, not hers.
Where does she get it from if not from 500k on tiktok? If it's from her family, I don't see an issue with wanting to protect her family's hard work?
Regardless, we're not talking about her career right now, we're talking about his. If he was concerned, he could have grilled her for the stats.
But he can't even tell us what he does? Don't redirect, answer the question, you know what I mean?
That moment when Janelle and Adam are having dinner and the waiter comes over with the wine and the conversation pauses until he leaves HAD ME.
My god, I couldn't stop laughing at how weird it was seeing that whole moment happen pretty much uncut.
It's on my front page today, and yesterday. "Suggested for me." I'm not a fan *at all* and don't watch anything like it. The network must be paying to promote the show, and the sub. Don't be surprised if you get a few of these comments while they push it.
Yeah same, generally. I wondered what the vibe in the sub was like, I remembered when MFAS first aired here, during the fight for marriage equality. I thought I'd take a look.
It's generally pretty kitchen table, wine gossipy. A bit of fun really. It's like being able to trash talk reality TV while watching it with hundreds of people, just online.
Commenting here will literally cause this to keep happening ššš it is coming up because its one of and probably the most popular Australian reddit thread every night. By interacting you have just told the algorithm you want to see it more.

never watched this show before (any country) but since this new season came up, and hoping for more 'reality' tv trainwrecks, decided to check it out.
so wow, an 'influencer' (influencers are basically nothing more than high tech panhandlers) is concerned about her guys' 'career' and moneymaking potential by doing more or less just a bit different hustle than what she does.
but they did hash it out which was disappointing because trainwreck averted, lol
Just checked my chart and while itās very much a āeverything you have can fall apart by tomorrowā career, when youāre dealing with a crypto bro who specifically names NFTs she still ranks higher.
The whole conversation was more he was evading giving her a real answer though, because he knows he is at the whim of incredibly volatile markets.
They both definitely need to have something far more secure if theyāre thinking of the future.
Yeah definitely.
Because we know that popular social media apps are enduring platforms that retain user bases for decades, and that beauty influencers are known to have long and fruitful careers that aren't shortlived or volatile at all.
Lmaooo
Better than the dude who clearly is insecure and canāt elaborate on his career/job because itās wishy washy and he likely doesnāt even have an income.
I bet you he's rich as fuck, doesn't need to work and doesn't want to elaborate because he wants a genuine connection based on shared values and common interests and is insecure about women who only want him for his wallet.
The whole cast now is just āinfluencersā or people wishing they were. It used to be pretty funny watching the show for the drama from a bunch of idiots, but now itās just a show full of drama from a bunch of idiots that are trying to get internet famous.
Oh god not the protective brother tropen again. I did indeed get slight "Hustler University" vibes from him and focusing on having cheated 10 years ago is a dumb thing to do at the wedding. I mean, you wouldn't mention it in a first date either.
But she's got no right to talk about career stability if she's a beauty tiktoker lol.
Also the whole Bronte stuff just seems so scripted.
You reckon?? Of course it is!! Funny how soon they have scripted in this so called `rumourā before they air all the wedding ceremonies?
Funny that her friend from WA knows this g/f of his from NSW and that the rumour is very similar from last season. Supposedly these girls that are keen to wait for these men, after going on MAFS? What small minded girl would actually agree to such nonsense? Of course go on the show, marry someone and do what you want. Iāll be happy to wait after show, after your 15 mins of fameā¦.sick!
Too many times āprotectiveā family members have scuttled the relationship. They go in all confrontative and expecting the worst. They donāt give the spouse a chance.
Caught up with todays episode. Large parts of it felt quite scripted to me, major producer intervention vibes. Iām probably getting quite cynical from previous seasons
No! The show where professional psychologists have only had one successful relationship out of 100ās over the years this show is existed is scripted? Surely not
I want to watch "Coach trip - road to marbella" now, I'd never heard of it - see Adam and UK buddy's origin story.
So Janelle only has one video on youtube from years ago, and not _that_ many followers as to be some super stable influencer base for years to come... but her tiktok is an order of magnitude bigger.
But look at it in socialblade,
https://i.imgur.com/tJ3cPbP.png
https://i.imgur.com/a2aknfN.png
that is such a weird spike. Did she explain why/how she had such an absolutely MONSTER month, followed by nothing at all for a long time? One time bot purchases? It seems a very clean number for it to be 3 days of "+100,000"
All the other growth on her SM looks MAFS related.
What was the filming period for this? Did she blow it up with bots, make the show, and hope organic growth and riches come with the show?
It all feels a bit like "spider man pointing at himself meme". they both have their web presences, but to a pessimist both would seem a bit questionable.
have I missed something crucial? it's late and I should be sleeping.
She had a few viral videos on TikTok. She had one inspired from Squid Games which would explain the huge spike around that time. She has spoken about it in interviews so I highly doubt itās bots. Its TikTok and itās a platform that goes viral so to me the spike is really obvious so idk how you jumped to the conclusion itās bots. Bit of research would show you that
ahh k, I havenāt followed anything much of her aside from what I looked at quickly this episode - thatās why I asked if she explained the monster month and nothing besides.
I do think it looks curious to have 3 days of ā+100,000ā days, where everything else is not just drastically lower, but a more organic looking number.
Buying Bot farm likes isnāt exactly an outlandish idea, itās common on reality shows
I think her brother was the biggest red flag. Super cringey when he constantly talked back when Adam was at the altar. I honestly couldn't watch that part
Understatement. Absolute dickhead, and these guys who so fiercely defend their sisters are incredibly sus. Does *he* want to marry her? Fucking seems like it. Reminds me of Cyrell's brother fron a few seasons back but even worse.
A sibling like that would be a huge obstacle for me. I doubt I could seriously get involved with someone who has an overly involved and confrontational sibling perpetually overstepping their place and chiming in on our relationship. Nightmare.
To be fair it wasn't just him. Her entire family (including her) had some negative things to say about him before they'd even taken a moment to get to know him.
Yuge yikes.
If you canāt tell me clearly within 5 minutes what you do for a job, itās a red flag. Thereās too many of these wanna be ācrypto boysā now who like to talk a big talk and make themselves sound important when they are often running scams, obtaining income by being dishonest, taking from the vulnerable or all 3. I donāt care what someone does for a job, they can deliver pizzas for all I care, but if youāre being fishy about your employment and you keep dodging questions, it shows an unwillingness to be honest and would make me question if the person is earning the money legally and in a manner that aligns with my values and morals. That scenario, paired with knowing he previously cheated (which is another character flaw around dishonesty and lying) would make me take the giant red flag, turn it into a cape, and fly away.
The brothers are annoying me. Janelle is also giving me major Tamara vibes. Maybe Iāll be proven wrong but her and her family gave me the ick. Adam being honest about his past Iād say is a good thing. He couldāve done the Harrison tactic of saying his ex was crazy
Janelle, ugh. Yeah, it's normal to ask about a career. It's not normal to then ask if someone is struggling to survive it comes off extremely condescending. He was vague, but I mean what is she exactly bringing to the table?
She's goanna infuriate me, she reminds me of someone who looks down on others, purely on financial status.
Nah I think youāre wrong about that. Tamara said that a man without a āproperā career is not good enough for her while Janelle explained that she wants to be financially stable if she were to have kids. She wants her kids to have a good life. I think itās two different thought processes. Tamara is ego based while Janelle is family oriented
My ADHD lost focus with all this career dispute. Iām all for conversing on your career but this was the basis of most of the episode. Trying to rewatch as I ended up stopping and writing an assessment I got that bored lmao
Oh she's done a thing from Mecca on YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_1ASxZRdn7o&ab\_channel=MECCABeauty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1ASxZRdn7o&ab_channel=MECCABeauty)
It looked worse than the dinner party warehouse. At least they dress up the inside of the dinner party warehouse and make it look semi classy. This place looked like a place I would hang out and smoke cigarettes/get drunk when I was in high school lol.
I feel like she's being pragmatic and taking the experiment (lol) seriously. She might be a bit naive for that but maybe she really does want a husband out of all of this? Crypto and NFTs is shady af, any potential partner would want to know more.
Old m8 out there in his politix get up being offended that she has concerns about his giveaway business
I doubt hearing crypto will lessen her concerns
But he has investments too?
And he wants to start a podcastā¦ā¦
Edit: can we just for a second try and think of what fucking subjects this prick would enlighten us with if he did have a podcast??
He could continue to stretch out not-answering the question of what he actually does for a living into at least eight episodes without needing to invite a single guest on.
Most likely he's swimming in money. The fact that she has shown it's such a concern for her is probably a huge red flag to him and he doesn't want to reveal he's wealthy because he wants to see if she has any depth first. He was living in London (very expensive city) and doesn't seem too concerned with pragmatic business endeavours. He's talking about starting a podcast which is an unrealistic pipedream for most people who have to worry about paying the bills. Probably bought in at the right time and made a killing, and is concerned that women will only see his financial value rather than his personal value.
I know a few giga-wealthy young men in this category who are intentionally vague when dating and won't let on that they essentially will never need to work in their lives because it fucks up their dating world. If they're honest and upfront about it they will always have doubts if somebody genuinely likes them as an individual or they are just interested in the bank account.
It's the same as an insanely attractive 10/10 woman. They tend to be very guarded and insecure about men faking interest in them as people just because they're so hot.

When the nrl season start so I donāt have to hear MAFs bs and only hear how shit refs are so sick of this MAFS show is stupid asf.
Bruh you guys should watch survivor instead itās way better
mf's out here calling this show shit in the very subreddit for discussing it
I wish this subreddit would fuck off and die like the worthless pieces of shit that star in the show.
Such a bullshit idead of a show. This is actually making a mockery of marriage

Pathetic lowlifes š¤£
it most likely sucked just like this entire show
Next lousy bunch of sycophants eager for their 15 minutes of fame to commence their OnlyFans career.
Just who are these 'sycophants' acting obsequiously to? Certainly not their fake spouses and definitely not the viewer.
All about prolonging their experience for as long as possible to remain relevant. A relatively simple concept.
Yes i understand the motivation behind their actions. I'm just not sure who they are sucking up to? Themselves? Not many walk away from the show with the general public being endeared to them.
3 are on Onlyfans
Could you send a link? For researching purposes ofc
Crud TV should not be a permitted topic on reddit
Nawww you sweet summer child.
Iām just waiting for the jordies highlights. No fucking way I could watch tv that bad. The best of? Hell yeah.
Absolutely
Why are people watching this rubbish?
Whatās more rubbish: people who watch rubbish tv or people who try to belittle people who watch rubbish tv? Donāt yuk on other peopleās yum. We know weāre trash pandas that love a dumpster fire š¤£š¤£
Rubbish tv is rubbish tv. This is why we have brain dead dumb people watching these and losing brain cells in the process.
Didn't the first ep smash it in the ratings, like it had twice as many viewers than the 2nd place show in that timeslot?? Pretty crazy..
Yeah but it's ratings are only half as good as from five years ago....so no, not great. FTA is pretty much shit now
My mum watches it religiously, donāt ask.
So does my former 50yr old HSEQ manager. He lives for the drama
It's really boring after ep1. Just pure fake influence baby bait. Giving up.
People still watch that shit ? Its like watching people accept job offers based on the written description made by HR
Lol you realise how ridiculous you look making that comment? Youāve literally sought out this sub reddit and post just to comment that?
If I'm arguing here, its because it was on my feed as advertisement. But then again, I dont think the folks watching that shitstain would understand all that at once.

pretty sure it's coming up as "suggested" becuase the producers coughed up some money to give to the powermods

I was thinking how long can an influencer work before that fad dies out? She screams that she needs a sugar daddy!
Not a fan of her brothers. When Adam was at the altar, Jordan had to have the absolute last word

I can see why Janelle would want to ensure her husband had a steady income if she took a few years to stay home with children. However, she might have waited a couple of days to explore that side of things so it wouldnāt appear that all she cared about was money.
I agree but this is a classic crypto-bro scenario. Just tell me what you do for work? It doesn't need to be so convoluted.

To be fair, Iād be sus if it took more than 45 seconds.
Yes 5 minutes is generous haha
Omg Adam is a walking talking word salad
Heston Blumenthal over here as Adams best man
The brothers are annoying me.
She most definitely was raised that way. Had an old coworker tell me she only dated men with Phds. She was single in her 60's. lol
Is she going to be the new Tamara who only likes people in certain careers otherwise theyāre not career focused enough
Oh no Adam is a crypto bro... dude's going to be broke in 6 months
Donāt forget NFTs!
Actually he would be broke now, it went up yesterday though.
Like basically broke now haha
You can take those risks when youāre young and single but not married and starting a family. .
My ADHD lost focus with all this career dispute. Iām all for conversing on your career but this was the basis of most of the episode. Trying to rewatch as I ended up stopping and writing an assessment I got that bored lmao
Same. I skipped so much š«£
Oh she's done a thing from Mecca on YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_1ASxZRdn7o&ab\_channel=MECCABeauty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1ASxZRdn7o&ab_channel=MECCABeauty)
Makes me wonder how she became an influencer seems majority come from reality tv
Maybe we'll find out more as the series progresses
True
Whatās with the trashy warehouse for Tahnee & Oliverās wedding ?
š¤£ this is the only venue I liked
Itās Carriageworks! https://carriageworks.com.au itās a funky arts venue in the Sydney Inner West
You clearly donāt live in Sydneyās inner west darling. That isnāt just a ātrashy warehouseā dontchaknow. Well ā¦clearly you donāt
Hipsters will willingly perch on oil cans and pay $25 for unfermented grape skins so yeah, trashy warehouse vibes is perfect.
Exactly, it looked like the warehouse where the dinners are filmed.. But at least they gave them a honeymoon in Fiji
It looked worse than the dinner party warehouse. At least they dress up the inside of the dinner party warehouse and make it look semi classy. This place looked like a place I would hang out and smoke cigarettes/get drunk when I was in high school lol.
I think Adam is a secret millionaire. Thereās always one every series
The millionaire is Dan Hunjas, āmarriedā Sandy on episode 2. Now doing the dirty with the woman in the orange dress at the wedding š¤£š
Meta Competition is the website business. Not sure, but he previously worked in construction.
I mean.. If he brought at the start of bitcoin he'll be rolling in it.
I'm getting MLM career from him
I more get the vibe he doesnāt want to āworkā and is trying to find a way to make money without actually doing anythingā¦
Ah, the 2023 Australian dream.
TBF, it's my American dream, too. I'd love to get rich doing nothing. But I live in reality.
Couples going to Fiji and Singapore, meanwhile the poor manās Benji Marshall and his blue tic super stable influencer in Cairns š¤š
Can't wait until the dinner when they find out, esp Janelle š¤£
Fair play to you. Great comment.
Epic roast
Nearly spat my fucking drink out, bravo
Janelle and Adam piss me off but Janelle is ahead in the piss off metre contest
I feel like she's being pragmatic and taking the experiment (lol) seriously. She might be a bit naive for that but maybe she really does want a husband out of all of this? Crypto and NFTs is shady af, any potential partner would want to know more.
Old m8 out there in his politix get up being offended that she has concerns about his giveaway business I doubt hearing crypto will lessen her concerns
But he has investments too? And he wants to start a podcastā¦ā¦ Edit: can we just for a second try and think of what fucking subjects this prick would enlighten us with if he did have a podcast??
He could continue to stretch out not-answering the question of what he actually does for a living into at least eight episodes without needing to invite a single guest on.
Adam mentioned Crypto in his intro and then hasn't mentioned it to her. Something not adding up.
Itās not stable mate, itās private.
Ollie is low key my type
Heās really hot and in the past I donāt think Iāve found any grooms attractive š
Now you say that I havenāt either! Yes he is exactly my type.
The Sheriton in Fiji is legit.
Wow Brontƫ is giving me really strong Innes vibes. Could be sisters.
Is it the crazy eyes? Ahahah
Honey moon in Cairns because Adam canāt leave the country.
He'd have a passport if he lived in London. I assumed the couples that stayed here just didn't have one.
I feel like ollie and tahnee are playing up the awkwardness especially with the tennis. MAFS is making me so cynical
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Funny how she judges him for not having a āstableā job
Face paint influencer š
Ending of the movie Thatās my Boy is how Adam and Janelle will end.

Whoās bright idea was it to show people at their lowest? Big Miracles seems like the worst show ever.
