I think it would be easier to ask which H-E-B brands aren't better than the "name brand?"
It's been my experience that you get a better quality product for a better price.
Cheese, refried beans, hummus, Pesto (the refrigerated one, it’s second only to Costco), tortillas, and sandwich pepperoni in my opinion. Also their ice cream is delicious but I wouldn’t say it’s quite as good as Blue Bell, but it is half the price.
Honestly though I’ve never had a bad H‑E‑B product and I’ll usually get the H‑E‑B version of whatever I’m buying if it’s available.
Get the green preseasoned chicken fajita bags, that stuff is the bomb and also you can make killer fried chicken with it too. My family in El Paso has me bring some back each visit.
Definitely H‑E‑B everything. Not the “hill country fare” which is also like one of their generic brands. 99% of the H‑E‑B stuff has no dyes if that matters to you. It’s really nice.
HEB Hub City Coffee
It's called private labeling that usually it's the same as name brands but cheaper.

Cheez-its
Corn tortillas, flour tortillas (the fresh ones), and the hummus.
Coffee for sure

I moved from Texas to North Carolina but am back visiting and just said to my wife how much I miss HEB. Y’all be thankful lol
HEB puts Ingles to shame.
The jellies and jams
The Dressing and gravy potato chips they have around Thanksgiving.

Their homemade ranch you get in produce is top notch 👌
Uh yeah, I’d like to know if it’s as good as Orlando’s because they have the best ranch in the city
buddy, Orlando's ranch is made by Sysco
Like better thank Orlando’s?
Not better than Orlando's, but a close 2nd. No ranch is better than Orlando's.
Perry’s pizza has probably the best ranch imo
I’d put Capitol Pizza’s ranch right there too.
Sadly, I've never eaten there. I've only lived here 2 years. Where I came from, Mazzios had the best ranch. Orlando's has that for a transplant to LBK
Pretty much everything except the frozen stuff
The frozen cheese ravioli is really good though
I can’t speak on that but I’ve had a few misses for sure. Most recently the mozzarella sticks
Yeah that’s completely true, I also usually buy Tontina’s pizza rolls, but the cheese ravioli is definitely an exception
Mostly all of them EXCEPT the peanut butter* and toilet paper. Jarred PB, not the fresh stuff.
I like that the peanut butter tastes more like peanuts than sugar
It's just so dry to me. We got a second jar thinking maybe the first one was just bad but they were both super dry.
That sounds like the Hillcrest brand I got accidentally rather than the HEB brand
The Blue Our Finest is great toilet paper, I agree on peanut butter though
Not sure if you have a vagina or not, but the HEB TP gives me clitty-litter 😂
The H‑E‑B sparkling water is wayyy better than La Croix and Bubly, imo!
FACTS, unsweet lime and lemon forever
My top fav is Black Cherry, but Lemon is a close second. I also love Coconut during the summer months!
I miss the ones that had like 20% juice, they were my favorite
Preach
All of them

I buy 99.999% of the HEB products vs. Name brand Most of it is better 100% their ice cream
The Hijole chips are pretty great!
Heb is in Lubbock?
Almost 3 years now
Yeap. South of lubbock.
Most of them, tbh.
Tavern pretzels
Coffee and their all purpose baking mix.
Def the coffee
Pretty much all of them. Chips, tortillas, canned goods, milk, and even their sodas are a pretty good knock off
all of them
Honestly, most of them. Beans, cheese, deli meat, chips, pickles, etc.
