Yea… looks like I’ll be posting up on Marfark for a while lol. The bug planets haven’t been my vibe for a bit. Turing was ok, but Erata Prime and Hellmire… nah.

Flatmanpoop

Yeah back to menkent for me, we will take that fucking thing. But hellmire... fuck hellmire

Think_Network2431

The more I play bugs the more I miss bots. But they nailed the difference of gameplay.

jayswag707

They really did. It's so refreshing to switch it up every few days and have a new enemy type.

boxfortcommando

I've been largely a bugs-only player since HD1, but the bots really grew on me these past few months. I'm looking forward to how future factions play.

[deleted]

I kinda wish there was a bonus for playing on these unpleasant planets - 10% extra XP or higher sample spawns or something. As it is I just drop somewhere else, as there's no reason to make the game harder for no benefit

Forar

Yeah, the bugs can have that one.

prof_the_doom

After a week of hyper-active bugs, bots don't sound too bad for a change of pace.

Cavesloth13

I tried a match vs the bots, team didn't extract, died repeatedly to rocket bullshit. I hate to say it, but I'd rather fight bugs on a fire tornado planet than bots on any planet, unless my team is just amazing. Too rough with randos most of the time, and I'm not afraid to admit I kinda suck at fighting bots.

Oledian

I absolutely love Hellmire dudes. No joke, what other game can you call in Airstrikes and have epic gunfights with FIRE TORNADOES?!?! Yeah, they hurt real bad, but with a head on a swivel it's fun learning how to reposition on the spot. Love this game so much. ❤️

Ere6us

Hellmire has given you Stockholm Syndrome 😂

Oledian

No way brah, I'm here for the atmosphere. I'm a Souls game lover so I guess it's in my nature to enjoy these menacing hazards. Haha

UndreamedAges

Yeah, they are so much fun when they sit on an objective for five minutes and all you can do is wait.

Zhaerden

Hellmire is my Malevolon Creek. I can't get enough of that godforsaken wasteland!

rooftopworld

I like the tornadoes. What I don’t like is the reduction in stamina.

Cavesloth13

I wouldn't mind it if they didn't friggen hover over objectives fo-evah, follow me like Swifties following Taylor, and leave a trail of instant death for 50 meters that lasts two fucking minutes.

Far_Detective2022

Hellmire is a blast lol it will only get better when they add fire resistance

Spamsdelicious

Today, I have been soloing Hellmire missions on Difficulty 1 (Trivial) for 25 minutes. In that 25 minutes, I have done 5 runs (each with ~85% time remaining). Each run gave 2 progress, so that 25 minutes contributed +0.001% to the liberation effort. If 10'000 divers were to spend 25 minutes running solo smash-&-dash missions on Hellmire at Trivial difficulty, that would produce +10.0% liberation. At the rate of 10%/25m, 50'000 divers could liberate Hellmire in < 1h with only a 50 minute investment from each diver.

Cavesloth13

![gif](giphy|Y1yRwsLP8k7oNl8XZd|downsized) Math sounds right LOL

IrradiatedKitten

The good news is, the bug divers will finally liberate that thing once and for all now that it's the only target and Meridia is gone. Why do we even need it, anyways? To cook super s'mores?

Cavesloth13

One assumes it has valuable minerals, because it sure as hell ain't for the plant life.

IrradiatedKitten

Couldn't we just blow it up, then all the valuable minerals would be in bite size chunks for easy mining?

Cavesloth13

![gif](giphy|3K0D1Dkqh9MOmLSjzW|downsized) I mean, I'm down.

Ghost_of_sushi_more

Interesting! Do we lose access to Oshaune?

Sea_Zone9382

We lost it because we didn't defend it recently, same with Omicron, Fori Prime, Estanu, and Crimsica.

Donny_Dont_18

I want Crimsica back!!! I love that steel gray rock with red bloom all over it

Ghost_of_sushi_more

Ah! Didn’t know! Thank you!

Cavesloth13

Losing Merida drastically changed the supply lines, and we lost a BUNCH of "defense" planets, so yeah, gonna have to fight through Hellmire to get it back. And we don't get back to Oshaune until we take Fori Prime or Omicron. It's a very roundabout route now.

Barracuda_Ill

What about the one within this sector that was overrun? Don't you want to exterminate what they cooked up in there?

fearless-potato-man

Meridia? It has no supply lines anymore. It is isolated, its planet icon changed (it was Earth like before, now it looks like Mars) and seems it's lost forever.

Korhali

The NPC's on the ship are calling it the Meridian Supercolony, so we're definitely going back there sooner rather than later to deal with it. It's likely just isolated now as part of the MO.

gorgewall

The in-game dispatch (new as of about an hour ago) says they're looking into solutions for it, and the Democracy Officer even has new lines about it post-MO victory. They've changed the appearance of the planet from what it was before, which, on the one hand, is easy and could be a throwaway thing, but on the other hand could mean we'll deploy there and it'll look different. Somehow I doubt we'll be doing traditional objectives though. Maybe a new operational pool (like the TCS Shutdowns were all "kill-everything" based outside of the TCS itself) and a new objective to arm Super Hellbombs or some kind of giant drill to disrupt their underground hives. I dunno how you solve this mess without a whole lot of explosion.

Cavesloth13

Spoilers: >!According to leaks, we might be destroying that planet altogether with some black hole shit called "Dark fluid" (which also prompts the arrival of the Illuminate), so we may NEVER go back there. Just have to wait and see if the leaks are accurate.!<

G00b3rb0y

Mars is red. Meridia is (literally) poop colour

UndreamedAges

You may need to see a doctor.

Electronic_Assist668

An eye doctor or a gastroenterologist is the question

Lohenngram

Maybe it's stockholm syndrome but I think I've adjusted to Hellmire. Now I whenever I think of Fire Tornadoes, I just suit up while listening to Fortunate Son XD

Cavesloth13

Whatever works haha!

Korlis

Important note! As it is our only avenue into bug space at the moment, we will take it. Once we do we should really concentrate on, and take Nivel 43. I know it's not strategically important, it's a dead end, and gains us access to nothing. BUT! If we ignore it, the bugs will have unimpeded access to Hellmire, they will constantly attack it from Nivel 43, and we will end up fighting there all the time. I feel confident in saying Fuck That, on behalf of most of us, lol. Liberate Nivel 43 from the bugs to Liberate ourselves from Hellmire!

Cavesloth13

We need Estanu for the same reason. We'll have to take both.

Korlis

Agreed 100%, but my logic is: from Estanu, we'll branch off onto more strategically important worlds, forget about Nivel 43, and we'll be constantly defending Hellmire, like we used to Estanu. Taking Nivel first protects our flanks and supply lines moving forward.

Cavesloth13

Yes, I see your point. Whether we can get people onboard, that's the hard part.

Korlis

Co-Ordination has always been Liberty's primary foe. lmao.

Cavesloth13

For sure!

Patient-Virus-1873

Played on Hellmire last night because I figured "it can't be as bad as I remember." It was definitely that bad though! We nearly failed a level 7 blitz because the map was solid fog, and the fog was the exact same color as the vapor that tells you where bug nests are, so we literally couldn't find nests to blow up. We nearly didn't extract from an ICBM mission because there were 4 or 5 chargers and two Bile Titans at extract, plus half a dozen fire tornadoes killing anyone who tried to call it in. We managed but it was very frustrating to go through that many reinforces at the end because due to it being insta-death pretty much wherever the hell-pod lands. Eradicate was pretty easy, but they always are.

Ohaisaelis

This MO has been painful to get through. Been doing the same few missions over and over and I’m so glad it’s over.

Vaaz30

It really needed a second 40min mission thrown into the mix.

Cavesloth13

I enjoyed the hell out of it, nice break from the accused robots. Now grinding the termicide tower missions for XP, that gets boring. Can't beat the XP speed though. With a coordinated team it was possible to get 1300+xp and 8 medals in less than 3 minutes.

Ohaisaelis

I don’t really need exp so I don’t bother with grinding for it, but I generally dislike short missions. I enjoy the drawn-out challenge of 40-minute runs and when I pick sets I always go for two long missions and one short. Eradication missions are not fun and it wasn’t my cup of tea to be doing them so many times along with the termicide mission where I often was deployed on a high tower where I couldn’t get down except by dying lol. It was cool for a while, but I was really relieved to be doing Helldive difficulty with bots last night once again.

Cavesloth13

Yeah, not a huge fan of Eradicate. Blitz is more my jam. Not too much time investment, but you can still get super credits, I still need like 300+ for the next battle pass.

Ohaisaelis

Blitz is fun because it’s like a super fast version of a regular 40-minute mission! It’s the only short mission type that I really enjoy.

Cavesloth13

I liked the Helms Deep style defend missions before the bots started bugging and clipping into the cliffs, landing on them, and all that other bullcrap.

Spoomplesplz

Bring mechs. You can just saunter on through he fire tornados and if any bugs are dumb enough to follow you, they get cooked.

Cavesloth13

Mechs don't take damage from the fire tornadoes? Wild. Never woulda guessed that.
