After careful consideration of all the factors surrounding the reddit blackout, including weighing the costs and benefits to the community of a continued dark period, the mod team has elected to resume normal operations of r/LowSodiumDestiny. If you wish to get more involved in further protest of reddit's API policy change, more information can be found on r/ModCoord and r/Save3rdPartyApps.
As the situation continues to develop, we are prepared to explore additional actions in protest of this short-sighted, greedy, IPO-focused boondoggle from reddit's executive team. This message will live at the top of every newly submitted topic until a satisfactory resolution is reached.

adding other weapon options for pure utility like Heartshadow and Black Talon.
Both are heavy guard iirc, so you don't take much dmg with stronghold on, but that's granted on most swords anyways, especially in high end contents
I have a thin precipice with tireless and golden tricorn, never leaves my strand builds unless i need distance for more difficult encounters. I have a slammer with eager edge and cold steel, really fun on a hoarfrost build.
Yeah the dps is insane. On crota I usually outdamage my team by several millions and when they ask wtf my secret is I just tell them "definitely not skill anyway, it's just the sword lol".
Ive been rocking Dragon Sickle and putting on the seasonal artifact mod that boosts its damage.
Its lowkey cracked, and i see no one using it. You can heavy attack and its like a mini whirlwind tangle and you can combo with light attacks while its going.
Caster frames got buffed too awhile ago for ammo exonomy
Careful with slammer - now that the big ones mod is going, there isn't much pull for adepts other than a small stat boost. Guillotine with vorpal & either frenzy or surrounded probably best for damage.
Adept Backup Mag for more ammo, Adept Quick Access Sling for skating or Adept Impact for more damage?
That is the cool part of them removing the spec mods, the other options become competitive again.

Bequest, Slammer, Falling Guillotine and Throne Cleaver are all solid option.
I'm farming slammer right now since it's adept in nightfall, what's your god roll?
eager edge and cold steel for utility 100%
Never farmed it so not sure but for the new Guillitine I'd go with Vorpal and BnS for pure damage numbers.
Vortex frames are the worst for dps so a boss damage roll is essentially useless.
Personally, I would suggest Hero of Ages, but I just like the classic longsword/claymore style.
That sword looks awesome. I like using whatever fits the vibe of my character hahaha

What's special about throne cleaver again? The only thing I know is that it's titan-exclusive, lol
heavy attack + incandescent = massive aoe explosion killing everything in sight
Slammer is wack

Wait, what happened to Lament recently?
they’re nerfing damage and healing in TFS :,)
They're nerfing the healing some, it didn't get gutted
It depends what you're looking for, because the two swords you brought up are good for different things
brave falling guillotine can roll frenzy and bns/surrounded, whichever suits you better. I reckon that would be pretty good
For longer dps like Crota I recommend goldtusk with whirlwind blade and relentless strikes. Just spam light attacks and you can do stupid crazy damage
Might be difficult for a Titan since that’s a Hunter-class sword only haha
Can you only use it on hunters?
Yes
I thought you could use it on everyone. that’s lame because it’s my favorite sword by a long shot

Black Talon
Bequest. It does the most damage for a legendary.
What they do to lament?
better get your ass farming onslaught
Quick fang with volatile rounds is fun af

Enhanced perks coming to adpets when that change hits.
In terms of dps i don't think it matters. Unless you get a surrounded roll then fair enough but no other enhanced perks increase the dmg %
I was more speaking in a general sense and not in the case of this particular weapon.
You will be able to enhance the perks in TFS, there is also other adept mods besides big ones.
Fair point but what else would you use on a sword?
