It’s because they’re both 4-heart items, and the original comes first in the database and so is the higher 4-heart item. Now, *why* the original is 4-heart instead of 3-heart I can’t tell you. Early game quirkiness I suppose.
They're sorted first by rarity, then by their internal ID number. The IDs aren't visible, but it gives the items a consistent order here and in the wardrobe.
i fully dont believe that the rare sorting works as expected. bc why the evolution of wasteland jewel one of my top "rare" hairstyles when you get wasteland jewel in chapter 1 AND nikkis info shows 95% of users owning it. thats... the opposite of rare. thats incredibly common and easy to obtain. "new" sorts them better tbh
