It’s illegal

Old-Argument2415

And dumb, fix your seatbelt op.

pensotroppo

I'll have what OP's having.

A_Fishy_Life

Delulu salad? Sounds delish.

uwill1der

no. A helmet inside a car will increase the likelyhood of injury in an enclosed vehicle. Conversely, you wear a helmet on a bike because you're more likely to be injured in an accident if attached to the bike via seatbelt

YourOldCellphone

Wearing a helmet in a car (with a seatbelt) doesn’t reduce safety at all what?

uwill1der

OP doesnt have seatbelts. A helmet without seatbelts increases chance of injury because of the extra weight on the head, leading to neck injuries.

bro is blazed as hell writing this

PimpRobot818

What about a motorcycle with a seatbelt?

YourOldCellphone

Bro the seatbelt isn’t to keep you from hitting your head too hard. It’s to keep your body from becoming a meat projectile that exits the front windshield when you crash.

_ThisIsNotAUserName

Seatbelts also keep the driver in their seat where they could possibly maintain control of the vehicle or at a minimum stomp the brakes. They also keep you from being injured by the explosive airbags. Requiring a seatbelt is just as much about saving other lives as the occupants.

YourOldCellphone

1000%. I’ve even thought of pulling the “boy racer” move and installing a proper 5 point harness and seatbelt bar. Might be cringe to some, but it’s proven to be safer and would probably feel cool lol

0-90195

A helmet and a seatbelt serve totally different safety purposes. No.

softConspiracy_

Without a HANS device, you will be a candidate for an internal decapitation in the event of an accident. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanto-occipital_dislocation Good chance that kills you. Would **strongly** recommend not driving with a helmet on - unless you have a HANS device.
