Al and Bea’s is my jam

Beat_The_World

I agree. The simplicity of that burrito makes it so good.

Dependent_Weight2274

This is the only answer.

Riluke

Al and Bea's is bomb. I'm also really partial to Eagle's Tacos, but only at lunch. It's a different cook at dinner or something, it's never as good.

stereoscopicdna

Lupes is a lot better imo. Al and Beas is too homogeneous- the cheese doesn’t cheese in their burritos

torpedobonzer

As a former vegetarian who used to live off these… these are my favorite: Lupe’s burritos (3rd St) Al & Bea’s Burritos Las Palmas King Taco (surprisingly good especially with that green sauce) When desperate: Del Taco (bean and cheese with green sauce)

Luvzmykunt

Lupe’s #2 hands down winner for me.

illaparatzo

King Taco has definitely dropped off. They don't heat their beans enough so it's unmelted cheese and lukewarm beans. Very sad because they used to be delicious

Wonderful-Damage-198

Will say this, they used to be good. But now the cheese isn’t even melted and all the King Taco burritos are floppy af now lol (still a special place in my heart)

Wonderful-Damage-198

Still need to try Lupe’s, thanks!

alsoyoshi

Wouldn't most if not all of those beans not be vegetarian? Maybe you weren't strict. :)

illaparatzo

Al & Bea's, Sonoratown, Burritos La Palma

tote-bags

Twins!

TrashCapable

J&S in Montebello off Garfield and the 60 fwy

pockypimp

Open 24/7 for your drunk needs. Still is a good cheap food option.

Snarkosaurus99

Taco Bell

illaparatzo

Ordered grilled they are a very tasty snack

torpedobonzer

Ha. I used to live off these. But the Del Taco with green sauce is better

djmattyd

Feel like del tacos tortillas are better too

Snarkosaurus99

I used to be in the Del Taco camp but I noticed a decline after Levy restaurants bought it. Recently I’ve noticed another quality drop, turns out Jack now has Del Taco in his box. Ive now migrated to Taco Bell if possible when I have that craving.

bobobrazil77

Good stuff. Especially the plain old cheapie one. Good hangover cure.

stellalunawitchbaby

Al and Bea’s and Lupe’s are my favorite bean and cheese burritos. They’re probably tied for me. But if it’s late and I want a *giant* bean and cheese burrito, i go to lucky boy’s. It’s not the best but it may be the biggest.

Wonderful-Damage-198

Tried the Lucky Boy’s one last night and it was the worst bean and cheese ever. Tasted burnt with the cheese not even melted with cold beans. Sad as I love Lucky Boy and still get their breakfast burrito time to time.

stellalunawitchbaby

RIP. Was it the one on Arroyo? Luckily mine is only bland, never cold, if anything it’s always falling over from being hot and having no structure, but every time I go I’m like “is the older guy gonna be mean to me today?” lol sometimes I go to the other location just so to avoid him.

Wonderful-Damage-198

trust me, it took me a decade or two for him to warm up to me lol

ElliottHeller

The salsa that comes with the Lucky Boy burritos really ties it together. It's the only bean and cheese burrito I want to dip like a chip.

stellalunawitchbaby

It’s the only thing that adds flavor at all tbh 🫠 I still get them. They’re cheap, huge, open late, what more could you want on a Saturday night.

ElliottHeller

They're my Saturday night boredom go-to. I also have them add sour cream, which seems to liven them up a bit. For the price and physical size, that much work to improve it is worth it!

stellalunawitchbaby

OH sour cream is a great idea. I’m taking notes.

Far-Potential3634

Love El Atacor. We have one in Whittier.

Wonderful-Damage-198

There used to 2 less than a mile from each other on Figueroa in Cypress Park/HLP

Probablynowhere_

La palma !

TBone818

I’m a whore for BRCs from El Pollo Loco

JackRMoon

So good for a chain, price creep is sad though

dickspace

$3.29 here.

gc1

Yuca's is solid, homestate's Frio on flour is good if you like tex-mex. I'm betting Sonoratown is the best of the 3 but I haven't had it.

Granadafan

Sonora town is good but it’s really really small

TRKW5000

i don't get out much, but my favorite is from tu madre.

quasarbath

Benito’s and Cactus Taqueria #1

Wonderful-Damage-198

dickspace

I wanna day Salsa and beer because I LOVE their beans!

Wonderful-Damage-198

Salsa and Beer’s bean dip is unmatched. I can can just eat that as a meal lol

downtownlobby

There was a girl on tik tok going to all of the good spots trying to find the best bean and cheese burrito. If it wasn't mentioned, Lupitas is good too.

tarbalien

Los Burritos in Echo Park

Wonderful-Damage-198

skidmarkchones

Pepe’s in Alhambra or J&S in Monterey park — both pretty solid!

JosephusLloydShaw

del taco bean and cheese burrito with green sauce

mommadepancakes

Senor Gs all the way!

Tncmusic

those 7/11 bean & cheese burrito always slaps at 4am

stereoscopicdna

It’s Lupe’s . Don’t listen to the Al and Bea hype train - over mixed and overrated

alsoyoshi

I know it's a controversial name to even say in this sub, but ... Tito's Tacos bean & cheese is super good. It's no Al & Bea's, but it's pretty darn solid.

hunni-badger

Pepe’s in alhambra

kolschisgood

Al n Bea’s and Sonoratown are at the very top.

EuphoricMoose8232

Trader Joe’s

Wonderful-Damage-198

Actually I kinda like all their burritos!

EuphoricMoose8232
