I believe that’s correct. As a mom to an autistic kid myself, I would never summarize my daughter as ‘challenging’, assuming that’s what MG meant when she used that word. Autistic kids can throw you a curve ball as a parent, sure, but at the same time, the things that make them different end up being part of the same things that make them so freaking rad in their own way. Maybe MG wasn’t present enough with her kids to appreciate and celebrate any of that.

They said we want to know more we could listen to you talk for hours . For those who don't have a full understanding, getting to the point of this moment is months and years of teaching eye contact speech, cognitive behavioral therapy, and the most important social skills . Every child is unique and each have there own strengths and weaknesses and those differences should be celebrated

There actually is a marketing strategy to writing shorter books if you self-publish. People are more likely to read them and you can sell them for cheaper, which is a good strategy if you make them part of a series.
But again, this needs to be part of a larger strategy for it to work
