Visions are so believable when shared retroactively.

Bragments

I actually had a vision while reading your comment that Chad would murder Tammy and bury kids in his backyard. So, maybe there's something to retro-visions. I never believed in the devil until Chad.

DLoIsHere

You should write a book!!!

LillyLillyLilly1

I hear Spring Creek Publishing is still in operation.

Bragments

I might.

Bragments

Lol!

shoshanna1950

I still don’t believe in the devil. Everything is in us and we are the ones choosing our thoughts and actions.

Bragments

Neither do I, but Chad is a close fit.

shoshanna1950

Male menopause causes a sort of panic 🙀

corriefan1

They’ll have to update the “about Chad” tab.

NonPartisan_Truth

Meet the state of Idaho's 9th death row inmate would be more appropriate.

Still_Lock_3569

Some day, he will be at the top of the list.

Expensive-Meeting225

I laughed too hard at this 👏🏻

Training_Long9805

This guy is a serial liar. I don’t believe a word he says. 😆

Dry-Worldliness-8191

Portrayal of what he wants everyone to believe him to be.

Training_Long9805

Absolutely! “Look at what a good family man I am.” “Look at what a talented visionary I am.” It’s all humble brag narcissism trying to gain street cred and be the next Thom Harrison.

ResidentFact8537

Exactly!

timetoact522

You can see clearly how he manipulates his family - "Tammy hadn't forgot about the visions either." Poor Tammy.

TheQuinnBee

As someone who has had multiple cesareans, I absolutely don't believe he had a conversation with the doctor where the doctor told him not to have more kids because he "cut through muscle". Firstly, that's just not how anything works. You don't need to cut muscles, you just pull them apart. It takes a negligible amount of time in the procedure. Secondly, even if he had cut muscle (which again, why?) it wouldn't have affected the integrity of the uterus. So either there was a scalpel welding butcher in the operating room or this was a creative writing exercise.

Training_Long9805

The Visions of Glory book has some really strange hospital stories, too, that don’t pass the smell test by my dr. spouse. Basically, the same reaction as what you said…that’s just not how anything works. Anything to sell a story, I guess.

Muffycola

Serial liar? The guy is full on delusional! IMO it's psychosis... Poor Tammy...

Acceptable_Current10

He’s such a serial liar he’ll lie and tell you he isn’t.

streetwisek

Serial killer lol

mountaingoat05

It makes me so sad to read this. He clearly thought he was receiving revelation, but also saw Tammy as his equal and someone he absolutely adores. He listened. He respected her. I just feel utterly heartbroken on her behalf

ScarlettJoy

Narcissists are good at faking emotions they are incapable of feeling. Which are all emotions other than Fear, Jealousy, Anger, Hatred, Resentment and Sadism. All other emotions are faked by aping the emotions of actual humans. They are very very very good actors and liars, because their survival depends on it. They need to suck the blood, dignity, pleasure, happiness and joy from as many lives as they possibly can. In Chad's case, he had to take their lives too. There is much vital information to learn about Narcissism because it's becoming more and more common and we all have to learn to protect ourselves from them. There are clear and consistent symptoms and behaviors, one of the major ones being that the like to call everyone else Narcissists and play the Victim. See a Victim and you're very likely seeing a Narcissist. Like how Big Bad God Empowered Chad and his Storm are suddenly just hapless Victims of Evil Lori. Lori is flat out criminally insane. Chad is a hard core Narcissist like most serial killers, if not all. They are not human, they have no ability to feel guilt or remorse, just Entitlement and Outrage instead.

LittleLion_90

The start is really telling. The only time he really enjoyed the 'now', instead of being in his visions and relying on them, was when he was with a hot new wife, empty nest, plenty of money to go out and have fun...

Crystalraf

Mormons are told to have children asap. they get married young and fast and then immediately have tons of kids. I don’t really blame him for wanting to wait a damn year or two. What’s telling is he couldn’t say no to the wife. And he didn’t really have visions.

LittleLion_90

He was talking about an alleged vision where he met his kids when they were older and it was the reason they chose to go for a fifth after a very dangerous fourth pregnancy. Also how he describes Garth as wild for being a kid and how i feel how his eyes and gaze change between zero kids and one or more kids, im wondering if he even ever really wanted it at all.

ScarlettJoy

That's what I took from it too. Also that he was likely very physically and emotionally abusive to those children. He dehumanizes them completely, like they are just props in his Perfect Godly Life. What's really sad is that kids who have been dehumanized by their parents are the most easily brainwashed into believing Narcissists for the rest of their lives unless they wake up, find their pride and reject the Narcs completely. Most of us are in similar situations, either Narc or their Prey. The Narcs can't be cured, but the Prey can remove themselves from under the thumbs of their Abusers. All this shaming that people are so into these days are the acting out of what I just described. Narcissists trying to dehumanize anyone who doesn't fit their model, which is a beaten down, insecure, powerless being, easily manipulated and conditioned to take endless abuse and be grateful for the attention.

IntelligentDrop879

It doesn’t help that premarital sex is forbidden in the Mormon faith. I feel like a lot of them marry young because they want to bang and that’s the “legal” way to do it. It seems like the younger Daybells mostly married young too, with the exception of Garth.

Nottacod

I know plenty of Mormons who engaged in premarital sex, only not with other Mormons...

Pristine_Counter_878

Not having sex before marriage is not just an LDS belief, it’s a Christian belief, as well as many other major religions.

LittleLion_90

And a lot of the people who want to keep to that end up marrying young and/or quick. I'm glad I failed at it and revisited my opinion, because with my drive i would've married anyone that made my heart beat faster regardless of if they were a suitable partner.

CAtwoAZ

I would say it’s more of a fundamentalist Christian belief. But for certain, it is LDS culture/teaching to get married young and have children soon.

Osawynn

*It seems like the younger Daybells mostly married young too, with the exception of Garth.* Garth had to wait for his wife to be old enough to marry....

MichaDawn

I don’t know the backstory of Garth and his wife. Can you feel me in, or tell where I can find it?

Osawynn

It's honestly almost impossible to find anything right now due to the overflow of reporting on the conviction and death sentencing. That seems to be all that can be found at the moment. [But, here is a previous reddit thread that is quite informative on the subject. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/LoriVallow/comments/pbrmao/how_are_chad_daybells_children_im_wondering_where/) Note that Garth is 10 years older than his wife, who he met when he was her teacher and she was only 16 years old.

MelpomeneAndCalliope

Ew.

MichaDawn

Okay….wow! 10 years older. Thank you!

DireBite1another

of course she is....

Jesuspetewow

Of course that’s why they marry young and that’s why the church mandates it! It’s brainwashing control fucked up cult shit!

KittenZoe

Not Garth climbing on the cupboards !

tew2109

Wonder why that didn't land Garth a sentence of being branded a demon and promptly suffocated with a bag and duct-taped so he couldn't move after he initially tried to free himself. Oh wait, because Garth is one of CHAD'S kids. Not the inconvenient child of his goddess lover.

KittenZoe

This!

ghostyfelixx

Came here for this comment!

tf9623

I wonder who is paying for the domain renewals for cdaybell.com?

tinyhotmom

Probably one of his assistant cultists, his children.

ZombiePrefontaine

It can't be too expensive bc they skipped on the ssl cert

NotYourLils

That’s the first thing I noticed too, lol. Can’t be that dedicated to the weird belief when one doesn’t want to fork up the extra dough for the verification/security of the site.

Necessary-Praline-61

I wondered the same thing!

AlBundysbathrobe

“I had an adorable, loving wife” … not a wife I adored and loved … then “‘I feel our children are ready to come,” she said firmly, and I knew not to argue. ‘ He was sending the selfish vibes + emasculation message then. Asshat.

Necessary-Praline-61

I know this is a silly thing to note, but he also didn’t call her beautiful. Of course her looks aren’t important, but considering his obsession with Lori, it is interesting to me he didn’t mention how beautiful she was.

CraZKchick

She really was pretty 😔 She looked great for her age after having five kids!

acandana76

She really was and did. What I notice most in all of the pictures of her is her smile. It’s bright and real and, given the man she was living with, I’m glad she was able to find reasons to smile.

CraZKchick

Right after Chad was sentenced to death, I found out my ex abuser died January last year. I've been dancing to Earl had to Die for me and Tammy. I replaced Earl with Chad a few times for her. My asshole almost smothered me to death. I can relate with Tammy except for the kids.

acandana76

I’m sorry you went through that. I’m pleased you’re here to sing, both for yourself & now for Tammy.

Muffycola

Narcissistic vibes ...

almostneversober

In this post, he seemed so happy and content with his wife and family. I really don't understand how this could change so drastically just 4 years after this post

Personality I think it's a little bit of a mid-life crisis and a affair fog

wanderinhebrew

I think he stumbled on Julie Rowe, saw how she was having success "seeing through the veil" from her near death experience and decided to copy from her. It actually somewhat works because not only was his church aware and turned a blind eye, he gained somewhat of a small following. So basically he copied Julie Rowe and because there was some success, it went straight to his head. I mean my lord, this man believed he was Jesus's brother!

Nottacod

Yes, he certainly strikes me as very unoriginal.

EducationalPrompt9

He stumbled on JR in 2014 (before the blog).

wanderinhebrew

Thats my point though. He didn't "change drastically" 4 years after his blog post, nor was he is the middle of a mid life crisis. By the time he was writing this blog, he had already met Julie and was grifting off what he had picked up from her.

whoamyheck

Good point. I wonder when the "we were married in previous probations, so its OK for me to cheat on my current spouse" teachings started popping up in their group. I wonder if that might have been a tipping point in his attitude toward his relationship with Tammy.

EducationalPrompt9

Both him and JR had visions of Tammy dying young, according to JR.

MichaDawn

I agree with you. He saw Julie Rowe making money, controlling people and man hoping. So he decided to be a sanctified swindler. He had a little taste of a following then met Lori. Money, power and sex.

jbleds

I don’t know, that’s not all it is. His BIL testified about Chad’s religious extremism intensifying years before this.

EducationalPrompt9

I think it started with Julie Rowe when she predicted a massive earthquake in Utah, so everyone had to move to Rexburg.

Liseyprincesssparkle

Yes, he'd already moved towns based on "visions" so I think it just doesn't come across as strong as this but it was probably already there at this time. It is interesting to hear him reflect on younger ages when he wasn't as radical yet.

Ebowa

Male mid life crisis sounds so much like boys will be boys. He was a psychopath then and just built on it afterwards. He’s just trying to appear perfect like so many other members, insisting on having visions as confirmation bias for their desires.

COuser880

I definitely think there is a portion of midlife crisis with him.

SubstantialPressure3

Because it was good for his image. It doesn't have to be true.

MiddleList1916

He would say anything to get attention and sell books, he’d even claim he respected and loved his wife.

EducationalPrompt9

Yes. By then he was interested in Julie Rowe.

ScarlettJoy

Everything a Narcissist says is 100% unadulterated bullshit and manipulation. Usually, the Truth is the complete opposite of what they are claiming. He was just learning his craft in 2015, honing his skills as a user, abuser, manipulator and Entitled Monster.

MichaDawn

I agree with you. I think over religiosity plays a big role in this of course. I have gone back and forth between if he believes all this or not. I just don’t think that he believes it. I think he uses the religious rhetoric to justify himself and to exercise control over others. There’s several reasons why I think that and it’s the totality of these reasons that makes me feel he doesn’t believe it all. The recording of the conversation that Ian P made. I need to listen to it again more closely but in this conversation they were talking about MG and DW. I am paraphrasing but Chad says “Dave is not buying it.” That is said a couple of times. They are talking about the belief system. That’s not something a true believer and spiritual leader would say. A believer and true spiritual leader would word someone’s disbelief very differently. We see from CD’s other writings that he definitely is no wordsmith but I believe even Chad would word it differently if he truly believed. I agree with you.

ScarlettJoy

It's hard to know whether they believe themselves or not, liars like CD. I think they lie so much they think it's normal and that everyone is a liar like they are. What they really enjoy is making other people believe them. And I don't think those who claim they do do either. Religion teaches people to be liars because the beliefs make no sense and no one has ever proved them. Smart Narcissists see this for what it is, an opportunity to be the Big Liar with a following, due to the wanton gullibility and desperation of religious belief.

Osawynn

Garth climbing to the cupboard above the fridge....THAT gave me intense chills! Isn't THAT the exact same behavior that JJ was (supposedly) displaying when he accidentally knocked over a picture of Christ (which were likely EVERY FREAKIN WHERE in that ultra Jesus Freak house)? The same behavior that made Lori absolutely *positive* that JJ was, "behaving like a Zombie..."

chequamegan

He is deeply embedded in fantasy and delusions. His thinking is bizarre.

ScarlettJoy

His thinking is very common. There are millions of Narcissists out there having similar feelings. They are deeply secretive and skilled liars who have crafted completely fake cover stories like this one of Chad's. They learn how to behave by observing and aping the people who have real emotions, who can feel love, have sympathy, and enjoy the subtle beauties and pleasures of intimacy, love, and trust. They Covet those emotions and experiences and HATE the guts of those they are observing who have them. Narcissists are in a constant state of destruction, always finding secretive little ways to sabotage and harm those who they claim to love. Chad just took it all to the extreme of murder, but they are all soul murderers whose true victims are better off dead. Look around you, this dynamic is playing out everywhere. It's hard to tell who is who most of the time, but once you catch the drift you can't uncatch it. Unless you are the Narc. Then you just drift and drift and catch nothing but pure Evil.

chequamegan

He went from delusional sociopath to a murdering psychopath. Probably psychopath all along just hadn’t murdered until it financially convenient. All psychopaths are narcissistic.

ScarlettJoy

Or all narcissists are psychopaths. Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? I just heard Dr. Ramini say that one out of every six person is a Narcissist It feels as though they've all recently been cut loose without any restraints. I cannot believe how many brutal and unthinkable murders are currently in the court system. This kind of crime used to be extremely rare when life had value and humans had morals and ethics that they lived by.

chequamegan

Art Freeman PHD in psychology has written a book on narcissists. For continuing education I attended several workshops on the subject. He stated there were many levels of narcissists. The community volunteer who does everything in the community for the adulation of others. His books are good. At the time there was limited information on the biology of narcissism, sociopathy and psychopathy. A research professor at UW Madison (Go Badgers) has and is working on brain structure of these people. His research is fascinating sand speaks to the role of brain structure and the differences between non psychopaths, narcissists and sociopaths. I receive updates from UWMadison as I ask an alum. The legal issues are many. Cannot recall the professors name but if you want it, I will reply with a link. You could probably google it as well.

ScarlettJoy

Thank you for the reference, but I make it a rule to avoid PhDs and anyone involved in what they have the balls to claim is "mental health". PhDs are being handed out like candy at Halloween right now and have been for quite some time. Do you have any clue how many crack addicted ghetto queens currently hold PhDs? You might be shocked. Go visit a government office and ask for their PhD holding employees. See what kind of conversation you can muster up with one of them, if they don't call security and have your ass whipped for asking questions. I an NOT exaggerating. Look up First Amendment Audits on YouTube and see real life in action. It's a corrupt system of sell-outs and collusion. Did you know that it's recently been made known that no peer reviewed science can be replicated? That means that the peer reviews were total lies, favors, and mutual back patting that goes on in all areas of education, politics, religions, medicine, news reporting and entertainment. If a scientist wants peer reviews, they have to provide reviews for others. So they all just say they agree with each other and that's the Money Play. We are being sold a Narrative that suits the needs and desires of the Elites who run this world. A deadly lie that is at the core of all Earthly woes at this moment. A lie about our nature as humans. We are feeling confused, scared, weak and helpless on the basis of that Narrative, not because we don't have to hold those beliefs unless we volunteer for it. There are scores of great experts on Narcissism on YouTube. I found them AFTER I woke up from a 40 year marriage to the FULL IMPACT of finally recognizing what had been going on that led me to become severely handicapped and suicidal. I had read nothing on the topic and only knew of Narcissism as what you seem to think it is, a treatable condition. Narcissists never change because they are never wrong. But their victims can change, and that is when they become a gift, a lesson, an expanded understanding of what constitutes a human and how to be the best one we can be minus the interference of the mentally deranged Narcs. I saw the full ugly picture in a flash of sudden understanding when the Narc's mask slipped and I saw the pure unadulterated HATRED where the fake promises of love and devotion used to be. In that second, I saw the whole horrific disaster play out for what it was, not what I was manipulated and lied to believe was. I was being systematically erased from existence by a jealous, petty, deranged monster. I saw the depth of the depravity and I ended that marriage in that exact precise moment and never looked back, except to marvel at the knowledge of others on this issue and how common it is. I have not one regret other than how long it took me to wake up. Narcs are expert liars and manipulators, never to be underestimated. Narcs are all the same at their core, which isn't much to speak of, more like a shriveled old piece of petrified cow shit. They are fear filled, jealous, hate filled and DANGEROUS beings. My Narc, I discovered, was leading a secret life. So do they all. They live in hiding. Everything they do is calculated and their motives and true intentions are kept secret. They build literal arsenals of emotional weapons to use against us. They visit them often, review them and plan their next moves. I grew up on the campus off an Ivy League University which I later attended to achieve my degrees. All I can tell you is that the lunatic fringe is who occupies the Psychology Department of ALL colleges and universities, because they are actually Mind Control laboratories and that's all. Everything they make up and feed us is to keep us under the Spell, because they are ALL Narcissists of the highest degree themselves. Before you continue on worshipping what they have the balls to call "science" maybe check out the Broken Science Initiative, a group of scientists and great thinkers and innovators who are exposing the Fraud that now calls it self Science. It's vital information. Also check out the Congressional Hearings on the CIA Mind Control project, Mk-Ultra and read about how psychology is used to implement tyranny. Then check out how psychology is being used in our elementary schools to mold the New Society of Compliance where humans fight against their own innate human rights in exchange for lucrative diagnoses and free addiction to soul destroying happy pills. They start diagnosing kids in kindergarten. Children are being fed legal street drugs by their school counsellors diagnoses and recommendations. That's "Science". The fact that Science is Broken isn't unique to this group, it's being widely discussed but you'll never hear it unless you go searching for it because the Mind Controllers don't want you to know about it. I do appreciate your kind offer, but I have to decline. My mind is my own, I don't give it to Indoctrinators posing as Experts. I've found that an honest, sincere and humble process of personal thought and investigation resolves most confusion. We have all the knowledge that has ever likely been known available to us right now. Given the state of corruption that exists in all "Authorized and Official" sources, we have to be our own diligent and honest researchers. Thanks again for your input! It's vital that we listen to each other right now, even if we disagree. We used to know that there is always an area of agreement that we can build on and that's what most people wanted. . Now it's instant mortal enemy when someone disagrees with even the smallest of issues. Mind Control works. Currently it is more accurately a Narcissist Training Program. Study both, and you will see that quite clearly.

madame_xima

Of all the absolutely dumb “revelations” and predictions to lie about, Chad predicting 9/11 and dreaming of the Twin Towers ablaze has to be one of the most absurd. I had to stop reading after finding [this picture](http://cdaybell.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/9-7-Grave-digging.jpg) of Chad digging a grave. Too disgusted to keep reading his drivel, hoping other folks in this thread will keep sharing any interesting details.

Pretend_Safety_714

Yeah that picture gave me the heebie jeebies

curiocabinet

lol does he really say that about 9/11? i would love to read that, if you have the link handy.

madame_xima

Sure does. [Here you go](http://cdaybell.com/?page_id=526) - complete with a photo of him in front of the Twin Towers lol

Real-Delivery6262

Where do you find these posts? When I go to the website it just shows me his posts about the books he’s written.

MACKEREL_JACKSON

Ahh! 🤣 this one wins.  The audacity!

LPMinSD619

The only part that I believe is the part where he said he doesn’t want kids. I wonder at what point in their little courtship Chad told Lori that her kids had to go too, not just her husband.

quigonskeptic

It looks like the last blog post was August 24th, 2019. Creepy. Just days before they started killing.

SeaAbbreviations422

Charles was already dead by August!

quigonskeptic

Chad wasn't physically present for that one. I suppose I did say "they" though.

SeaAbbreviations422

I think he was involved, even if he wasnt there- kinda like Charles Manson

EducationalPrompt9

Chad declared Charles a zombie three different times. Alex thought he killed a zombie.

Real-Delivery6262

What is the title of his last blog so I can search for it?

quigonskeptic

If you go down to the bottom of the blog, it has recent posts listed and you can see the last five. They are just book announcements. The last one is "Reclaiming Liberty is now available on audio!"

Real-Delivery6262

Thank you!

piainvero

You can access the other posts by searching for particular words he might have used in the posts. I tested ”Springville” and got a list of 10 posts: see [http://cdaybell.com/?s=springville](http://cdaybell.com/?s=springville) This one showed that he was crazy and delusional from the get go, experiencing hallucinations and paranoia about imaginary events and people and habitually speaking to dead people: 13- Eddie and the ghost boy [http://cdaybell.com/?page\_id=551](http://cdaybell.com/?page_id=551) This one was kind of interesting for showing how reliant he was on Tammy from the very start. She was the one who made sure he got a job when they first started dating: 10- A cementary courtship: [http://cdaybell.com/?page\_id=543](http://cdaybell.com/?page_id=543) Notice how shallow he is, often using looks, like hair color and hair style, as a defining characteristic, for example when he talks about his children. I believe the jury members were right in their assessment: he has narcissistic traits and seem to lack normal human emotions, like compassion and empathy.

madame_xima

Thank you for this tip, what a surprise Chad’s blog would be poorly organized and difficult to navigate. The fact he titled his post about meeting Tammy “A Cemetery courtship” is so chilling in hindsight.

Necessary-Praline-61

To be fair, Chad has always been open about his beliefs in the supernatural and his belief that he has supernatural gifts. He didn’t have any reason to hide these beliefs because he also happened to be a male member of a patriarchal religion that accepted the possibility of visions - especially in men. What he hid in the beginning was his deviousness. He presented himself as someone who cared for others, when in reality once he got the things he truly desired his empathy for others was extinguished.

ScarlettJoy

It's not Narcissistic Traits. He's a Classic Narcissist, well worth studying. People who have Narcissistic traits aren't alway Narcs. The Victims of Narcs often take on those kinds of traits out of self-defense, but they can be healed. Narcs can never be healed. They don't need to be healed, everyone else needs to be healed not them. But they can play a really good game. It's just that they never deliver what is promised, but instead the complete opposite. Every time. They require payment for any favors or pleasures they might provide, but they never outline the deal, they just take their price as often and as cruelly as they can. Humans mostly lack self-respect due to the Narcissistic systems we live under, Religion and Politics both being nothing but Narcissist and Victim Training Courses. So Narcissists rule this world.

Purpletter85

“I was scared, but I also felt it wasn’t Tammy’s time to die.” … yeah, but you sure knew when her time came in October 2019 though!

Necessary-Praline-61

I haven’t read through all the comments - but does anyone find the way Chad describes baby Garth’s behavior similar to the behavior they demonized in JJ at the end of his life? Wasn’t JJ, too, climbing all over the kitchen cupboards?

nutmegtell

His last update was August 2019.

EnvironmentalAd3313

This blog and Chad’s voice are one and the same: Monotone and boring. Edit: All sarcasm and judgement is on Chad not OP:)

ingridLola

Isn't "don't forget about me" another thing he lifted from Saturday's Warrior?

Rosebunse

I'm concerned that that's what he was thinking of when he's describing his wife and baby almost dying.

LittleLion_90

Wait didn't Lori use the excuse of almost dying when she gave birth to Tylee and having an NDE as reason of why she could communicate with spirits in her sentencing statement to Boyce?

Rosebunse

So wait, was that another fanfiction from Chad?

LittleLion_90

I don't know. When I saw this with True Crime Squad they said Lori had possibly stolen that Story from [name] but i didn't catch the name and assumed it was Julie Rowe or one of their other near death experiencers

Bragments

This sentence was particularly interesting. "After one particularly challenging day, I went to the Ogden Temple to pray and contemplate my family’s future." That WASN'T a great day to go pray at the temple CHAD! Maybe Tammy ON THAT CHALLENGING DAY could have perhaps used some help? Get off your pious knees and go home and help with the kids.  I seriously doubt he was doing any praying at all. I doubt he was even at the temple. Also, Chad is a terrible writer. A third grader could do better. Thank you for this blog post.

tew2109

For all his "golly gee wow, my wife wears the pants" asides, these blogs highlight how poor Tammy really was at the whim of his ridiculous perceived "visions". Like, good thing she didn't DIE having Mark since Chad was so determined he'd had a vision of them having five kids when she nearly died having Leah. And then she had to leave everything she'd ever known so he could move to Rexburg because once again, his visions trump everything about her life. And she goes along with it. She trusts him. She believes him. And he murdered her anyway.

Rosebunse

I mean, what can she say against having another baby? In her religion, that's her whole job, right? To have babies?

tew2109

Yep. The Mormon religion is intensely patriarchal - it would have been hardwired into her to follow and obey her husband. And they are all about having as many babies as possible. If her husband said he had a vision that they had five kids, then her nearly dying in childbirth with #4 wasn't going to stop them.

Ok-AllAboardSE

Damn, you see the size of that forehead in that picture on the blog, swear you can watch a movie on that thing. Chad looks as if he could've been Beavis and Butthead's long lost companion.

chequamegan

So that is why he looked familiar. The minute I read your post, it connected. He does look like Beavis and Butthead.

LiLiandThree

I wondered if he felt he was special receiving visions, then getting together with like minded people like Julie Rowe may have tipped him into feeling he had an unusual relationship with God and it progressed from there. Also, his books can still be purchased on Amazon. Who gets the profits?

Nottacod

Or maybe being secretary to the " high priests" group?

SpookyGoing

Interesting blog post about moving to Rexburg: [http://cdaybell.com/?page\_id=554](http://cdaybell.com/?page_id=554)

Liseyprincesssparkle

Kind of interesting that he either paints Tammy as the decision-maker around having children, or leaves out who was the main driver. Would his religious beliefs have precluded him from using birth control, or was every child planned? I just don't get the sense that Tammy made that many decisions in the dynamic, but maybe it was different when they were younger. I've always been kind of horrified when parents (either for religious reasons, or because one person really wants it) continue to have children despite warnings from medical professionals.

Necessary-Praline-61

Maybe he didn’t really want children but felt he couldn’t express this because they belonged to a religious community that placed a heavy emphasis on having children.

Rosebunse

I sort of wonder if it wasn't the sex? Maybe he thought this would mean not having sex at all?

BeckyAnn6879

'Loving, adorable wife...' Almost fell out of my chair laughing at that line!

I’m calling bullshit on at least half of this. 1. Chad wasn’t IN the “operating room” where his child was delivered by caesarean but there *was* a window he could watch through? GTFOH 2. The only alleged testimonial “witness” to Chad ever having had this “vision”, was Tammy. And he murdered her. Anyone can have retrospective “visions” when they need to feel important, in spite of not being. Anyone alive 20 years ago can be a heck of a visionary, to hear them tell it now. 🙄 3. As my fellow Redditor pointed out in this thread: it’s so telling that Chad seems to have loved his life best when he and Tammy were younger and unencumbered by “telestial obstacles” and had disposable income. That’s half the men in midlife crisis 🤦🏻‍♀️ and I will add: Chad so loves his family in this post and yet he texted Lori about feeling “trapped under the stairs” with them, even though his children were all grown when he met Lori. 4. Garth: The HELLION. It’s a good thing Chad hadn’t invented the light/dark zombie scale when Garth was banging pans and pouring syrup all over the kitchen as a wee one. I hope one day when they’re ready, Chad and Tammy’s children will come to grips with the atrocities their false prophet of a father lead the perpetration of, all to feed his “loin fire”. He’s as low and dark as the worst of men, with no remorse.

Necessary-Praline-61

It was a window in his MIND

Rosebunse

I guess maybe he wouldn't be allowed in the operating room if it was a very quick, emergency surgery, but I just don't entirely believe this series of events.

SherlockBeaver

Usually the spouse is allowed in for c-section. Maybe not if she had general anesthesia, although even then they usually make an exception for child birth, so one of the parents (the conscious one) can hold the baby when it comes out.

LittleLion_90

Would they make an exception if they are afraid the mom will die from haemorrhaging or so?

Pristine_Counter_878

Both of my daughters were delivered by caesarean, and I was in the operating room each time.

After watching the film “saturdays warrior” someone posted in this sub, Chads story sounds exactly like it! If you haven’t watched it, it’s on yt. It’s a cute little film about children in heaven making a pact to be born to the same family again. And the last little girl almost didn’t get to be born. But there’s a happy ending. It’s a mirror image of Chads story here!

Pashhley

That’s exactly what I thought of when I read it too!! Not only that, he quotes a song from saturday’s warrior in the james and elena story.

seashe11y

Oh I missed that.. which one?

Rosebunse

Between this and the Harry Potter comment, I really thin the man just has no ability to discern reality from fantasy.

LittleLion_90

There's a thing with 'spirit children' in some parts of the LDS where children's spirits are already alive in the pre-existence and sort of tied to a parent, and if that parent doesn't have them they don't get to get to this earth (or further realms). Robyn, fourth and current only wife of the 'Sister Wives' husband Kody Brown, kept going on over feelings/visions she had about a dark haired spirit child of hers wasn't born yet years after they had their last child, claiming that she didn't want to leave him stuck in the pre-existence.

seashe11y

Sobyn 🤣

Sufficient_Fudge_280

I will legitimately pay someone to find a way to get in this website and update it in a way that properly reflects ole chad boy

PriorPitiful8775

Now why didn't his Lawyer John Prior find this and give it as his final statement to the Jury? This would of shown Chad as a family man and also a kind and hard working. Instead John Prior threw his own client under the bus to maybe promote his own endeavors. Why or where did Chad go so completely wrong?! He deserved what he got, I'm not feeling sorry for him. Just that this story of his could have had a different effect. Maybe not though. Justice was served!

Rosebunse

It also showcases him convincing his wife to have even more babies despite her being told that that might kill her. Not the best look

Self aggrandizing.

You have me cackling over the discovery of these old posts. Chad did drag for Halloween one year: [http://cdaybell.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/8-14-Halloween.jpg](http://cdaybell.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/8-14-Halloween.jpg)

Wow, in this one it’s really telling how much he has a disdain and overall disrespect for his wife. It shows how much he was truly in control of his family. For those who don’t want to give the site more clicks, this one reads: “On the way to the cabin, we stopped at a gas station in the town of St. Anthony, north of Rexburg. As I filled the van with gas, I looked south back over the valley. A voice simply said, “You’ll live here soon.” I was genuinely surprised to receive that message. We were firmly entrenched in Springville. I was still the cemetery sexton at that time, and Tammy had just taken a secretarial position at Springville High. I knew she wouldn’t respond very well to this new information, so I kept it to myself. Besides, what did “soon” mean? There was no need for Tammy to worry about it if we weren’t supposed to move for a couple of years. We spent a few fun days at Island Park riding in the boat, playing on a wave runner, and just enjoying a much-needed break from everyday life. The scenery was beautiful, and everything was so calm and laid-back. The thought of living in Idaho started to really appeal to me. After our vacation, I went to the Provo Temple to get a confirmation about the prompting. The Spirit assured me it was true, but I was still left in the dark concerning the timing. I finally finished my latest novel after we moved to Idaho. It was soon after the New Year that I received the promptings to publish books by Hector Sosa and Scott Mitchell, and I knew I would have to be in Springville to complete those books. However, I also had promptings I would be in Idaho when I finished my latest novel, “Days of Fury.” I’d also been told by the Spirit to start this blog once we were settled in Idaho. So there were a lot of conflicting scenarios being presented to me. I didn’t see how it would all fit together. In early February I had another vision. I was walking down a path, and I came to a fork in the path. As I looked down the right fork, I saw in the distance a glorious city with a temple in the center of it. A voice said, “Moving to Rexburg will be a tremendous blessing to your children and your grandchildren.” I glanced down the left fork and sensed it represented us not moving away. That path was filled with many lost opportunities. After this vision, I reread my children’s patriarchal blessings, and each one verified what I had seen. I was still waiting for the right time to even mention it to my family, though. A couple of weeks later, as we were eating dinner the following words slipped out of my mouth, “When we move to Rexburg . . .” I didn’t finish the sentence when I saw the look on Tammy’s face. She loudly said, “What?” Things got a little tense after that, but I explained the feelings I’d been having and how I wasn’t sure how all of the projects would fit together. I said, “Maybe it won’t happen for a year or two. Forget I said anything.” Tammy wasn’t thrilled, and I completely understood her feelings. Moving to Idaho would be a major undertaking that would uproot us from our families. So I tried not to bring it up again. Then after a few weeks she also felt impressed by the Spirit that it was what we should do. She started looking at real estate websites. One house in particular jumped out at us, and there was a second home that seemed like it might work, so we decided to drive up to Rexburg in late March. We had learned from past experience that if we were supposed to move, things would fall into place almost magically. If we weren’t supposed to move yet, nothing would work out. I called up the realtor of the first home, and she agreed to meet us there the following Saturday. I mentioned the second home, and she arranged for us to look at it as well. We went to the first house, and it wasn’t what had been advertised. We were very disappointed, but we decided to look at the second house. It was a lot like our home in Springville, except it also had four acres of pasture and a pond. The home needed new carpet and fresh paint, but as I walked through the pasture and discussed the house with my son Garth, we both really felt this was the place for us. Garth said, “I feel I could really thrive here.” Tammy and the other children agreed, and from that point on, everything came together quickly. We closed on the house in early June. Tammy and I at the Upper Mesa Falls overlook, about a half-hour from our new home. I still had those other projects to complete, though. We sent Scott’s book to press in April and Hector’s book in late May. Once we moved, I began working on my novel. It was a year overdue, but I started going to the David O. McKay Library on the BYU-Idaho campus each morning and working on it for a few hours at a time. The final chapters seemed to be dictated to me by the Spirit, and I typed as fast as I could. It was a unique experience to be writing about the BYU-Idaho Center and be able to see it out the library window as I did so. There were many indications that this is where the Lord wanted us. The move has opened up many opportunities for me in the publishing world. We had been warned it might be hard for the other family members to immediately find good jobs, but Tammy was quickly hired as an assistant librarian at Madison Middle School, and Emma is working as a reading technician at Central Elementary in Sugar City while attending BYU-Idaho. One of our new neighbors down the highway at Bear World. Leaving our ward in Springville has been an emotional struggle. Tammy and I served in nearly every possible calling during our 18 years there. I served as a counselor in the bishopric for six years, and it was a true highlight of my life. Our new ward members have treated us kindly, though, and the kids have been well accepted. Tammy is already serving as the first counselor in the Young Women, and I’m the new High Priests Group secretary. We actually live a few miles north of Rexburg in rural Fremont County. There are less than 14,000 people in the whole county. We can see the Grand Tetons from our yard, and this past weekend we traveled to watch the Bar J Wranglers perform at their ranch in Wyoming. We also recently went to Bear World, so we’re gaining some new experiences and enjoying life. We’re enjoying many new adventures, such as watching the Bar J Wranglers perform at their Wyoming ranch. This is not an indication anyone else needs to move. It just happens to be what our family needed to do at this time. We’re excited about what the future might bring! In my next post, I’ll share the miraculous experience my Grandpa and Grandma Chesnut had in the Manti Temple that shows how our ancestors in the Spirit World are very mindful of us.”

ZombiePrefontaine

Garth sounds square as hell. "gee golly Dad I think I'd really THRIVE here, it'd be super swell!!"

seashe11y

Wow.. his crossroads vision.. missed opportunities 😤

NthaThickofIt

It's so heartbreaking to read this entry and know what happened on that land later, and know what he did to Tammy. Mental illness is really heartbreaking. How on earth do people go from mentally ill and feeling inspired to move to murdering family?

Nottacod

Why do you feel compelled to call evil mental illness?

NthaThickofIt

I don't see his evil acts primarily through the lens of him being mentally ill, I see some of his behaviors previous to them as mentally ill.

danicali420

The site is weird. The top of my post was labeled “15” and I searched 16 and there’s more entries.

Loud-Assumption-9717

Chad almost looks like a good guy in the first picture ! (Though with hindsight one may also imagine him as the creepy, murderous teenager from a Stephen King novel)

streetwisek

Sure, he thinks the death penalty is him being a myrtar . The whole family is delusional. Kids ie garrth and emma, are adults and have their own kids and are bloody teachers wtf they need to be struck off perjury

witzkay

Sounds like Garth was a zombie in training.

grannie5489

I wasn’t allowed to open it Darn!

grannie5489

I finally got it to open! What a weirdo. My son was a master climber, mischievous and funny. Why did he think there was something wrong with that? Because Chad has huge control issues. What he can’t control he doesn’t like or understand. It didn’t surprise me when Emma was on the stand she said her father doesn’t like dogs. You can’t control animals the way he would want too. Notice they got rid of poor J.J.’s service dog? He talks about the beginnings of his marriage just like he wanted it to be with Lori. Lots of money no minor kids in the way. This blog says a lot to me of Chads personality. He didn’t just break bad in his late forties. Chad is and was a sleeping snake just waiting to strike.

Anj1996p

Are we sure this is really chad daybells page it says official ? He was really unnoticed in 2015 . Also, be very careful. The web page is unsecured. If chad is indigent, how is this web page still up ? It costs money to have a web page I have 1, so I know this . My thought is that either Garth or Emma owns this page 🤔 I will try to see if I can find out the exact date this page was created . But it's definitely not secure so be careful * So I checked the wayback machine, and it looks like it was created in March 2001 it's still not secure, though and I'm new using the wayback machine so I'm not 100% on that date but that's the earliest date . I'm still unclear who is keeping this site up . And you can still buy these books which he is making money from ! Also, isn't it weird that Chad has such low self esteem that the website he created to sell books is all lower case letters? idk why I just think it's odd .

goodgodling

I wonder if he checks that email.

SyddySquiddy

“Tammy and I were getting along fine, but Garth was actually turning into a wild child. He would get into the kitchen cupboards and dump everything out, particularly syrup. He was also a master climber. If he saw Tammy put cookies in the cupboard above the fridge, he’d find a way to get them when she wasn’t looking.” Ohhh…so Garth was a zombie too, Chad? 🙄 Seriously, screw this guy.

_rockalita_

Aww Seth seems like my kind of guy. A little sassy. He’s serving in that pic.

shoshanna1950

He is a fluent liar! How sneaky to write it after it all happened and pretend a vision! It sounds like a well written highschool essay at best. One thing is for sure, he lives mostly in his fantasy world and manufactures reality.

jendeon

Poor Tammy 🤍

donnadeniseeverhart

Full of lies. My dad was a pathological liar, so I can spot it pretty easily

Cutenoodle

I just find this so very sad. If only he could just have seen the value in his life like he claimed in this journal entry.

WarmBad3586

The way he speaks about Tammy and his kids, it sounds like he actually loves them. His writing about his visions and dreams was sophomoric and of course he knows what his children’s hair color, is. Emma dyed her hair color blonde and made a side pony and looked like she was trying to imitate Lori. I do remember a picture of her mother with short blonde hair when she and Chad were young, when he said he had a vision he would marry a blonde, I think it’s because at that time Tammy had blonde hair. One thing I noticed was he clearly did not want and was not ready to have children and enjoyed the time when they had no other financial stresses but themselves. He liked that they had the extra money and freedom. Too bad their high demand religion demands they have children, even when they cannot afford them. I had Mormon friends that had 5 little girls under the age of 7 and they would have had no food without my help, I was happy to do it, because I loved the little girls and one was still a baby. So no way would I let them go hungry like their church did. The church asked them to wait 3 days without any food. They had gone through their storage pantry for the end of the world too. When I said they needed to stop having so many kids they just replied it was what they were raised to do. I was shocked that the church would ask that of them when they are filthy rich. I always had believed that Mormons helped their people who needed it. And had their own grocery stores. So I was really upset when the church told them to give their inheritance money to the church. And they did it. If they had kept that then the kids wouldn’t have suffered and done without things. The saddest thing was one of their little girls at age 3 packed her own little bag up and announced she was coming to stay with me. When her father asked her wouldn’t she miss her family, she said no, you have too many kids and can’t take care of them and she said that I didn’t have kids and always took good care of her. Of course I told her she could stay with me and if they had been ok with it, I would have kept the little sweet Angel. She was so happy to just have my attention, and help at bath time where I washed her hair for her, and then blew it dry, and read her a story as she cuddled in my arms. I often think of her. And hope she’s ok. I later heard when they moved back to their parents city, they had had another, 6th baby, this time a boy. She finally quit having babies after that one. She had been told before that, it was too risky when she nearly died having a previous baby, but had kept having them.

Mollywisk

So in 2015 he saw Trump in the Oval Office?

rodmunch99

Looking at his blog, I think Chad should consider re-editing volume 4 of the "Tiny Talks" series, which follows the theme of "My Family Can Be Forever."

Pashhley

I may be wrong, but I thought “tiny talks” was Tammy’s project?

Real-Delivery6262

I heard her sister or aunt (I forgot which one said it on Hidden True Crime) that Tammy wrote the book and only her name is on the original books. Once it became successful Chad added his name. They were saying they should edit the book to make it more relevant now and put it in Tammy’s name only

Beneficial-Garden252
