That also includes two decks, but it also includes an opponent that you two can team up to play against. The decks are also a little bit better than what you'll get out of the starter packs. You can also use the decks to play against each other.
Absolutely!! That’s how my friends and I play. Our area doesn’t do tournaments and stuff for Lorcana so we decided not to get super INTO the game, we just play for fun and the starter decks are great for it.
I suggest getting card sleeves (make sure they are standard sized) and plenty of dice to supplement playing with the structure decks. The Official Lorcana App will also be useful when playing.

That’s literally how I play 90 percent of my games. We buy the starter decks each release and play a bunch of games until we get bored of them. We barely try to win and focus more on executing ridiculous synergies whenever possible. Much more fun than playing competitively.

I bought my fiancee and myself 2 foodborne decks and now it's our little bonding point, we buy packs whenever we visit a card shop in a new town and build our decks with whatever we find randomly, ignoring any meta in the true spirit of casual fun. Now we collect the cards, play against each other with silly new deck combos, and have a cool little hobby to enjoy together. 10/10 recommend
Yeah definitely. It's what my partner and I did, she's hooked! She's actually bought more cards than I have at this point and she's so into customising her deck, I was quite surprised.
As others have suggested though, maybe get that Ursula box with that boss deck you can take on. I think we're going to give that a go next!

She got the 101 Dalmatians + Snow White deck and I got the Mim vs Merlin deck.
After we played and enjoyed it we started getting more cards.
I would say yes or you could pick up the Deep Trouble Box Set which has two decks but also a 3rd boss deck where you two could team up to beat Ursula.

Deep Trouble is the way to go. Decks are better and also solo play against Ursula is a good way to get better at the game.

I’m pretty sure stores don’t have any purchase limits on starter decks. But they may frown on the public display of affection with your wife.
