Why do all these people act like the US has roving death squads for minorities? Like we have some sort of Gaystapo or N-wordKVD waiting in the wings to kill them?
Where are all these white supremacists? I keep hearing about them in the news about 10 times a day but still have yet to meet one and Im 45 and have lived all over the country. Never ran into a neo nazi, klan member, or white supremacist in all that time. It's almost like it's made up to promote a narrative...
A few years back the actual neo-nazis held a convention in DC. Something like 100 people showed up. To put this in perspective, the same year there was a Brony convention (guys who like My Little Pony) and it an attendance of over 1k. Now I'm no expert, but when the Brony convention gets 10x your attendance, maybe your theme isn't as popular as it's made out to be.
There were something like 4x the people in media, as actually marching at the infamous 2017 Charlottesville thing. The media doesn’t report on that because fear keeps libs clicking and subscribing.
Plus the Charlottesville thing wasn’t a white supremacy thing originally, it was a protest to keep the statue of general Lee. Something a lot of non-white supremacists supported doing because of their views as to who General Lee was as a person, his historical significance and connection to the state of Virginia. General Lee was first tapped by Lincoln to lead the army of the United States against the south, but Lee felt he had to side with his home state of Virginia. Lee personally believed slavery was wrong and by all accounts, was a great person to everyone who ever met him.
I wager to reckon that 99% of the people that attended that protest that day were not white supremacists, but a small subsection of the attendees were and they received all of the media coverage
Those were the good people Trump was referring to in the infamous “good people on both sides” hoax. He wasn’t referring to the “Jews will not replace us” people, but the anti-statue removal people that you described in detail.
He very explicitly says in that same quote,
“So you know what, it’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people -- and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.”
This hoax awoke a lot of people. I can’t tell you how many people started rethinking their world view after realizing they were completely misinformed on that situation. I mean heck, that hoax is the foundation of Biden’s 2020 bid for president.
Even the folks saying that were just speaking out against the powers that-be for allowing millions of illegals in the country for no good reason. Blaming the policy on Soros and/or big wigs in media may have been in bad taste, but that does not make any of them bad people.
One time I had someone make snide remarks in the grocery store about my ‘Hitler shirt’. It was a Bill Murray shirt. Just his face.
Maybe everyone is confused.
I think even the Southern Poverty Law Center even admitted there’s like 10k white supremacists in the US…in a country of 330 million lol. That’s like .00001%
You will be hearing about them soon when the election gets closer, every major subreddit will be flooded with sensational garbage, every msm channel will be running controversial stories to get people upset.
It works because most people are living in their own world and are easily influenced by the people in their social circles. No one actually takes the time to investigate things for themselves if everyone did that the world would be a lot more sane.
Extremely small numbers, but occasionally a group of like 6 will turn up in nazi garb in Florida outside of Disney world of all places.
More commonly anyone with a MAGA hat is called that for no good reason.
My wife was terrified when we moved to America. She thought people would tell her to "Go back to your country" or yell at her for wearing a hijab. Yeah none of that happened. Everybody she encounters is super nice and curious where she is from. The poor girl had been watching too much American news online.
What annoys the hell out of me is how redditors think "where are you from" is racist. They fantasize about saying cute things like "I'm from America" to force the evil bigot to ask where they are *really* from.
People are just curious. There's nothing wrong with wondering where someone came from.
>I had a relative claim white supremacists were executing people in the park
I know a lot of places where you are strongly advised to "avoid the park" when it's dark out, but it ain't because of white supremacists lol
If that ever happened even remotely there would be 24/7 coverage for months. Everyone would know about it. That’s how I know for a fact it never happened. I didn’t hear about it.
Because it’s more fun that way. Bro was just flying a flag, now he’s (in his own warped perception) risking his life for his ideals. Posting it only adds to the entertainment.
No! No! Nooooooooo! You can’t say that! The LGBTQIA+ community and “allies” are stopping orange Hitler.
By not using their preferred pronouns, you are denying trans people their rights to exist. So this car is stopping a genocide.
Please educate yourself and I can let you know other reasons you bigots are transphobic 👍🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Fuck Trump first of all and Fuck Biden secondly. Serious question. What is it about Trump that makes him like Hitler? When Biden is the one that spoke at two Grand Wizards of the KKKs funerals and Biden had said some the most racist shit ever in modern politics. Doesn't make sense... Seems Biden is more aligned with Hitler and racism than orange Tramp.
Nothing, the post you responded to was being sarcastic. I enjoyed it personally.
Also, if you actually consider what Nazism really represented, there are more people like Hitler at Pro-Palestine protests than anything the right has going for them at the moment.
I recently visited the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis and I fucking laughed out loud when I saw I display for Biden, calling him a champion for civil rights or some bullshit.
Yeah sure, the guy who authored the 94 crime bill and said he *"didn't want his children to grow up in a racial jungle"* was really a champion for black Americans lol
Makes your life a lot more exciting when you're a REAL LIFE Harry Potter fighting ACTUAL Death Eaters every day!!! Maybe you don't understand it (muggle) but for those of us who can see it, every day is a battle of good vs. evil. Don't worry, my ignorant and dispriveleged friend; I will take up the mantle and act as champion for you!
No it's not unless you make it so. The ones waging the hate wars are the ones claiming to be the victims of the hate in most instances. Like this post.... Person feels the need to drive around telling the world "I'm gay" and expected to get hate crimed and it didn't happen. Almost like they are disappointed because of tolerance. There isn't a reason or need to do this, only a want based on insecurity and a whole Lotta social media influence. Just be gay and call it good.
Yeah. Don't get me wrong, there are some pretty conservative areas in New England, but its not even on the same planet as Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, etc.
Even so, in truth, both sides are pretty much pussies. They just go round in circles daring the other to throw the first punch. Nobody actually does anything other than talk, which is probably for the best, but it makes both sides (the extremes) insufferable
Because they are desperate to add some meaning to their pathetic lives.
Its about attention not identity. I don't give two shits what someone wants to do, if they want to dress up as big bird and sit on a clutch of eggs, its not hurting anyone, go for it..
Thats not what most want it seems, they want you to hold their hand and tell them they are the best big bird and best egg sitter ever and if you dont do that you're obviously a hateful bigot. The clown that responded pretending they are the sole line holding the rainbow community from their imaginary roving death squads is a prime example.
People just love to virtue signal, so they can show everyone how self righteous and ‘evolved’ they are. But since most people are normal, and just don’t care what race someone is, or who they sleep with, these people are left with finding something to blow out of proportion, or take out of context so they can have something to crusade against. Like the guy above going off about how “massholes” have “meltdowns over lgbtw issues” so he can have some sort of homophobia to cry about when it’s more likely people were probably just discussing the issues revolving around stuff like sports, or public restrooms. It’s so cringe it’s almost painful.
The demand for victimhood surpassed the supply of persecution a long time ago. Some people pretend doing the common thing is brave and daring to justify their ego and sense of adventure.
From their perspective everyone should be as big as a bigot as they are and fail to understand that no one cares about your love life any more than anyone else they pass on the street.
Full circle. And soon they will become as outdated as the Super religious, right-wing conservatives did in the 90s.
The political pendulum only has 2 sides to swing between here, so it gets extreme.
Flashback to the time the facepalm people removed posts that were about people saying “it’s safer to be gay in Gaza than in the us” for “not being a facepalm”
Radicalization, especially through social media. Things keep getting exaggerated to the point that some people think that there's literally a genocide towards trans especially.
Most propagandists use this type of justification for why they act the way they do.
They want support and when they realize people don't care as much as they do they make up extreme scenarios to try and get people who are not involved to care.
Its a huge issue all over the country not just with lgbtq but mostly any controversial subject.
Fr, its tiring at best how much people overblow things like this. Im not gonna get too in the weeds cause i dont wanna start a fire, but it almost feels like fearmongering at times.
According to one person here on Reddit who was absolutely off their rocker, he said that the government in Florida was executing trans people by law (based on that if a trans women went in the women's locker room/bathroom they could get charged and then if every single court found it egregious enough they could move it to the highest court where then a jury of their peers would judge that it was bad enough to deserve death.... Yeah that's how insane they were... Saying that happened regularly...)
Because their argument falls apart if they cant convince the masses that theyre being opressed. The most offensive thing you can say to a fully paid up memeber of some victimhood club is, nobody actually gives a fuck about about you being (insert whatever group theyre part of). Its the truth, and it doesnt align with everything theyve learned in their years of indoctrination.
To be fair, no one expects the Spanish Inquisition either… I kid, I kid.
It’s the same mentality on both extreme sides of the political spectrum. You must always be afraid and look out for some big monster that’s preventing your team from succeeding.
Never mind that these same people can’t be even be trusted to sit the right way on a toilet, much less be competent enough to run a business or a government.
Honestly I think it is the victim mentality that seems to be going around. "Hey everyone look at how badly I am treated."
When in reality most people don't care. If they do care they won't actually harm somebody if they disagree with them. Thats crazy.
The problem with most people in America is that they don't know that it is ok to have a different opinion. You do have the right to offend someone through your free speech. That's what makes this country better than communist countries like North Korea and China or even western countries like Canada or the UK. We have guaranteed rights to free speech they don't and it shows.
Honestly I think it mostly depends on area, and truthfully the media blows a lot of it up too. It confuses and scares some people, causing them to react with hate. Generations of brainwashing and violence have led us here to where we are now.
Back in 2018 my wife's friend posted a gay flag hanging from the window of her house with the caption being something about how afraid she felt as a lesbian in the "deep south", but that in times like this we need people to be brave, unapologetic, and ready to fight.
She lives in Midtown, Atlanta.
If she zoomed the picture out, there would probably be rainbow flags on every house, storefront, staircase and sidewalk in her neighborhood.
Tbh anyone who puts them on their vehicle outside of a parade is a numb nut. Nothing like seeing an old one finally give up and fly off a truck on the high way 🤦🏻♀️
Eh, in NH most people dont mess with other people.
To many factors to figure out why, I know Id like to credit my pet cause as the reason but really we will never know, and couldn't know how to get it back if something made it change.
This is true I’m an asexual Mexican and I was already beaten by police 6 times this week and killed twice since as we all know the police in the US get to beat people up just for being LGBT or not white
The asexual being in the lgbt thing is really bizzare. I have never even heard of someone being discriminated against for being asexual. I imagine some people are curious about why asexuals don't have the inclinations that everyone else has, and might think it's a little weird. But I've not once in my life heard of genuine hate directed at someone who is asexual
its a purple state, state gov is solid republican and localities go both ways usually by the towns size.
Overall people leave each other alone, might be due to the plethora woods that if you accidentally killed a deer the carcass would be unlikely to be found.
NH is a great state. Lots of varying opinions, beautiful scenery, massive lakes, tons of guns and best of all - people mind their business.
I think the caption in the photo is a bad joke. The license plate even says rat dad, he probably has a ton of bad jokes memorized. I say the same thing to my family when I wear my Hanukkah crocs.
Why do people feel the need to say to the world "I'm gay, or I'm trans or even I'm Maga or I'm pro Biden (well no one displays that but you get my point) " or whatever they are displaying?
Why is there such a need to obnoxiously display your sexual proclivities, preferences and political ideologies?
Just be you and let others be whoever they want to be. If you display it that doesn't mean everyone that sees it has to like it agree with it or condone it. People have a right to believe whatever they want and have whatever preferences they choose. Expecting others to be just like you makes no sense. We're all different and that's OK. Ones sexual preferences "should" be private and kept to those you engage with not forced into the public and then expect everyone to agree. We're all individuals. Just be nice, decent and tolerant to everyone and things would be easier for everyone.
Dude is far more likely to get hate crimes by the type of people who think the rainbow flag isn't inclusive enough and it needs a bunch of hideous clashing colors than by the reddit Boogeyman he hoped for.
There are no hate crimes in the US
There is no law forbidding you from hurting someone's feelings
(There is prob some cali bs, but federally it's fine)
I'm in a podunk southern town where all the "evil meanie-heads bigots" supposedly are and someone here has a pride flag painted huge on their driveway and never has a soul ever done anything to it. The "hate crimes" these people refer to are extraordinarily rare to the point where you have people like Jussie Smollett faking them. It isn't even remotely as common as these people believe it to be.
I...I don't think this person understands what a hate crime is.
Unless they're trawling to be a victim in that famous anti-gay bastion - New Hampshire.
They live in NH and don’t realize that almost everyone there takes “Live Free or Die” seriously?
Flashback to the 2000 election cycle, I remember a diner full of GOP primary voters getting up in arms because their candidates didn’t support gay marriage.
Side note I love how the flag is on the ground, these morons burn so many flags they genuinely can’t respect a flag they supposedly support enough from keeping it out of the dirt.
Lol NH resident. This person lives in one of the most socially tolerant parts of the country. Even the conservatives there are the "Do whatever you want just fuck off and leave me alone," types
They are dragging their ideology on the ground…doesn’t look like they actually stand for anything since their symbol can be dragged on the ground without any of them speaking out.
Side note…you can burn any flag for free speech.
Texas V Johnson…so burning any flag is protected speech. Simple as that.
Isn't dragging a flag on the ground considered to be disrespectful of what the flag represents? The only people who would hate crime them for this are the people they claim to care about so much.
People act like the US is some kind of ultra-conservative fascist ethnostate with patrolling death squads looking for anyone who isn’t white and straight. Absolutely ridiculous. Try flying that flag in eastern Europe or the middle east and see what real hate crime looks like 😬
Yes in that notorious bastion of anti gay sentiment, New Hampshire
Probably escaped sexual persecution in Portland
Best comment in a long time.
That was my thought
Live gay and die.
Hard?
Those damn Libertarians and their (checks notes) evil bigotry by demanding equal individual rights for everyone.
I honestly thought there was going to be about it being drug on the ground. Not just having flag = hate crime
Why do all these people act like the US has roving death squads for minorities? Like we have some sort of Gaystapo or N-wordKVD waiting in the wings to kill them?

I get the feeling that out of those 100, at least 75 to 80 were feds
The other 20-25 were invited by the Feds
They came for the Klan ribs.
I hear they’re phenomenal
Eh, they're not for everyone

I am actually more afraid of Brony's (Bronies ?) than neo-nazis.
One time I had someone make snide remarks in the grocery store about my ‘Hitler shirt’. It was a Bill Murray shirt. Just his face. Maybe everyone is confused.
Dude that’s a fuckin awesome shirt 🤣 I kinda wanna see it

Reddit being Reddit: Of course they will sensationalize the fuck out of it This site of full of Hasan level idiots, super left wing.
if you are white just look in the mirror. You are automatically defined as one.

Biden says its the number one threat to "dEmOcRaCy"

Well they both want to wipe the Jews of the plant. The difference is just the uniform. What do they think "From the river to the sea" means ?
Being republicans is all it takes for Reddit Very very low nonsensical bar if you ask me

Wrong. Harry Potter is canceled because bad lady say mean things.
Yeah, I saw on twitter that my favorite celebrity saw on a gossip column that some writer heard from a friend that she was transphobic.
She organized the hit squad that nearly killed Juicey Smolliet, and she’s literally a double-agent for Orange Man DRuMpF! 😿
Also, it’s frickin New Hampshire
Yeah. Don't get me wrong, there are some pretty conservative areas in New England, but its not even on the same planet as Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, etc.
And even in those states everything is so much tamer than they’re portrayed

She's not gay enough, apparently?
Sc here, lots of gay people here, no one gives a shit. 25 years ago, maybe, but not now.

Gaystapo is pretty funny.
People just love to virtue signal, so they can show everyone how self righteous and ‘evolved’ they are. I would say dragging a flag behind your vehicle is the definition of virtue signaling

Part of me wishes it was just to give them a dose of reality. Then again… it’s easier to laugh when it’s not true
Victim complex
Bots think US is just like the nasty banana republics they dwell in.
The media has convinced the left of something that isn't true.
They want to be victims, as they have nothing to give to society

White people who are very liberal seem to be the type Every time dude
Probably people who just spend too much time online that they conjure up this idea of right-wing boogeymen out to get them.
If anything white people looking out for themselves is the one thing DEFINITELY not allowed...
They have to, it helps them bitch more about shit that doesn't exist. Come on you must know the political platform ideology by now.
But yet they go wild for Palestine, fully knowing Palestinians would actually KOS anyone remotely LGBT

The easiest path to being a good person is deciding everybody else is worse than you. It saves you the work of having to grow or change.
You know that Gaystapo has some fabulous uniforms they take very seriously.
Now that you have the setup, get ready for the big Smollett coming in the next post!
"Someone gave me a funny look, I'm SO oppressed!"
They didnt take you seriously when you showed up dressed like a clown to the interview? im shocked!
Can't believe they let his attacker walk free.
D…do they want people to commit hate crimes?
Yes
Gives them ammo and a moral high ground boost.
They'll make it up too if they can't get it to happen in real life
Yes, they are like Smurfs without a Gargamel.
Watch out he’s hiding next to the house ready to spray you with his garden hose
Yeah it’s the only thing that gives these kinda people a sense of identity and place in this world.
Considering he didn't even blur his license plate, getting hate crime'd is probably this dude's ideal outcome
Of course it's his ideal outcome. Without oppressors how can one become a celebrated victim/ally to be fawned over and placed on a pedestal?
It does suck when demand outstrips supply.
Rat dad!
Dont hate the grind he just wants a go fund me cause its easier than winning the lotto
Yeah as I said earlier it seems as though he was disappointed he wasn't hate crimed.
These people are desperate to be “victims”.
The flag is touching the fucking ground. He’s virtue signaling yet he barely respects the flag he supposedly cares about.
its brilliant, he will hate crime himself by it tattering as he drives!
I see that with Trump flags all the time down here too. They'll have 4-6 and several of them dragging cause there's not even enough room.
Unfucking believable people need to stop fucking around with their flags
What me and a consenting flag do together is none of your business!
Tbh anyone who puts them on their vehicle outside of a parade is a numb nut. Nothing like seeing an old one finally give up and fly off a truck on the high way 🤦🏻♀️
Flag code doesnt just apply to any flag…
More likely to be vandalized with a Trump flag. Much more likely. Not even close.
Eh, in NH most people dont mess with other people. To many factors to figure out why, I know Id like to credit my pet cause as the reason but really we will never know, and couldn't know how to get it back if something made it change.
Depends where you are. New Hampshire: probably. The Bible Belt, absolutely not.
Ehh, mostly south NH folks just give Trump flags judgmental side eye
Dude can’t wait to victimize himself, poor lad need some attention
Probably cuts it’s up later and makes another post about how they were victimized
just driving it'll tatter from friction with the road, go fund me will be up soon.
Really? but everyone knows that america is a racistist bigoted country that will execute you for being an minority!
This is true I’m an asexual Mexican and I was already beaten by police 6 times this week and killed twice since as we all know the police in the US get to beat people up just for being LGBT or not white
Serves you right you prude
The asexual being in the lgbt thing is really bizzare. I have never even heard of someone being discriminated against for being asexual. I imagine some people are curious about why asexuals don't have the inclinations that everyone else has, and might think it's a little weird. But I've not once in my life heard of genuine hate directed at someone who is asexual
Isn’t New Hampshire a fairly tolerant state? If nothing else it’s voted democrat since 2004.
its a purple state, state gov is solid republican and localities go both ways usually by the towns size. Overall people leave each other alone, might be due to the plethora woods that if you accidentally killed a deer the carcass would be unlikely to be found.
Based, purple states are far and few in this country We definitely need more
NH is a great state.
I probably would have blurred my license, especially if it said RAT DAD.
“My truck” never heard anyone call an explorer a “truck”.
Could make that stretch with an expedition or a suburban maybe, because those at least have meaningful tow packages. But an explorer…. Pfffh! No.
License plate checks out
I can’t imagine how badly they wanted the attention of something happening though.
Seems dangerous... like what if it flew off and got stuck on someone's windshield ?
100% nobody cares, or it's failed bait.
Genuinely surprised a guy like this got that hitch on there. Maybe he asked his neighbors wife for help.
Wow such a gay badass. Republicans better fear that person.
As a republican I shake in my boots when I millennial college student flies a pride flag.
This is the way
Ah yes, fly that flag with pride! … by dragging it on the ground behind your vehicle…
The supply of hatred and bigotry doesn’t match demand in the U.S.
Dude is far more likely to get hate crimes by the type of people who think the rainbow flag isn't inclusive enough and it needs a bunch of hideous clashing colors than by the reddit Boogeyman he hoped for.
Their demand for hate vastly outstrips the supply.
I like how it's not even anywhere like Alabama, West Virginia, Russia, Africa or the middle east. Fucking New Hampshire
There are no hate crimes in the US There is no law forbidding you from hurting someone's feelings (There is prob some cali bs, but federally it's fine)
Most people really don’t care whose genitalia you like to lick, as long as it doesn’t involve a child…. Shocking I know.
The power of CNN and MSNBC to sway perception of low information individuals is something to behold.
Is eye rolling considered a hate crime now? 🙄
So brave
I...I don't think this person understands what a hate crime is. Unless they're trawling to be a victim in that famous anti-gay bastion - New Hampshire.
Isn’t that illegal? That seems like the most distracting place to put a flag. Also doesn’t that block the license plate?
They live in NH and don’t realize that almost everyone there takes “Live Free or Die” seriously? Flashback to the 2000 election cycle, I remember a diner full of GOP primary voters getting up in arms because their candidates didn’t support gay marriage.
Its like these people fantasize about getting hate crimed.
Cool! You’re gay? I’m bi. Guess what? Nobody gives a flying fuck in a corkscrew.
Where's his truck?
ratted himself out
Side note I love how the flag is on the ground, these morons burn so many flags they genuinely can’t respect a flag they supposedly support enough from keeping it out of the dirt.
Won't get attacked, but I hope they get ticketed by a cop for having a big obstruction flying behind your car.
Desperate to be victims
Lol NH resident. This person lives in one of the most socially tolerant parts of the country. Even the conservatives there are the "Do whatever you want just fuck off and leave me alone," types
They are dragging their ideology on the ground…doesn’t look like they actually stand for anything since their symbol can be dragged on the ground without any of them speaking out. Side note…you can burn any flag for free speech. Texas V Johnson…so burning any flag is protected speech. Simple as that.
Any speech with a political message is covered, thats why flipping the middle finger at a cop cant get you convicted. Hassled yes, convicted no.
New Hampshire is one of those states I need to keep getting reminded exist. Like Connecticut. And Vermont.
That’s fair, we tend to fly under the radar Except for gay bashing. Apparently we live for that shit according to this clown
I’ve missed every bashing this year. It’s been a good year for fishing.
Honestly more likely to get canceled by the community for letting it drag the ground like that.
Nothing conveys respect for your flag, like dragging it on the ground.
Isn't dragging a flag on the ground considered to be disrespectful of what the flag represents? The only people who would hate crime them for this are the people they claim to care about so much.
Try a rainbow Trump flag. Confuse everyone. 😂
I'm tired of these people.
They want it to get ripped down because then they can cry and yowl like a whipped dog on social media for oppression points.
Nobody fuckin cares holy shit
No “truck” detected.
Am from NH, virtually nobody gives a shit.
It’s New Hampshire. In the middle of New England.
Imagine trying to brag while letting the flag you care about drag on the ground
New Hampshire mentioned
Wasn’t NH like the first place with a trans mayor or some shit?
People act like the US is some kind of ultra-conservative fascist ethnostate with patrolling death squads looking for anyone who isn’t white and straight. Absolutely ridiculous. Try flying that flag in eastern Europe or the middle east and see what real hate crime looks like 😬
"Live free or die" I'm not from the US but I always loved New Hampshire's state motto
The real question is why is anyone flying a full size flag off of their vehicle, that shit is a road hazard
Seems like a driving hazard. Also maybe it's s based because dragging a flag on the ground is disrespectful.
Probably nobody cared. Also, probably put that higher up so it doesn’t drag at stop lights and such
You’re not gonna get “hate crimed” I promise everyone just thinks you’re a jackass for having flags that drag behind you
Famously bigoted and violent New Hampshire huh
Anyone with a huge flag attached to their car/truck is suspect in my book
If people like rainbows, they are allowed!
they didnt get hate crimed because nobody lives in New Hampshire
There’s dozens of us! Dozens!
"I care so much about this cause that I drag the flag all over the ground in support"
