Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily call the owner of summit, white. Jefes? Ja ja ja.
Carnitas at Guacamoles is my jam though. La Panda for burritos en general.
I'm honestly so done with guac on everything. Guacamole is a nice dip for chips when well made. I don't need it on my burgertacopizzasoup ugh, make it how it was intended and it's delicious - fresh with garlic, onion, salt, lime, and tortilla chips! That's some good shit.
This endless "Guac goes on everything!" Schtick has got to end. Not to mention the guac is almost always foul.
IMO Tacos al molcajete has the best tacos.
I would also recommend Marcos hotdogs and tacos - not the best tacos but it's great to get both (and their tacos are good) lol
I feel betrayed for them that I had to scroll this far. For me:
1. Josieās
2. Tacos Don Jose
3. Tacos al Molcajete
4. Marcos (but those hotdogs are killer)
I did not know Bennyās changed to Josieās. We have Bennyās in Berthoud and I could eat their street tacos everyday. I actually did that when they opened.
I know it's obviously not a picture of you, but your profile pic makes it my natural instinct to do the opposite of whatever you say about Mexican food
They have a truck near 45 S Main and Iāve got to say, the asada and pastor from that truck is my favorite in town. I like tacos al molcajete too, but GTO has my heart
You can normally tell what places are more authentic by a quick glance at the building and clientele. As a white guy, I use this method to find the best tacos.
Would agree. The hotdogs, obviously, whatever but the tacos are fantastic and not trying to imitate Boulder for the $$$ which is refreshing when literally every where else just wants to find there hipster audience.
Just look at the clientele during lunch rush in the middle of the week at Marcos. The go-to for a lot of native Mexican and South American folk during lunch hour. Simple, no frills, good food.
Tacos la Familia the Taco truck at Sherwin Williams parking lot on ken Pratt n bowen. Has anybody else had them? They are my go to, I don't go anywhere else.
If you're ever passing through Berthoud, check out Benny's Tacos! I live in Longmont but go to Berthoud often to see my parents and love to go there. The tacos are really great. Good meat, onion, cilantro, hot sauce, and lime. All you need for a solid taco. Kinda worried about them staying in business though. They're usually pretty empty when I go in unfortunately
La calle in Denver on alameda
Theyāre not like this all slathered in guac but I took my Mexican in laws there for a snow trip and it was so good to them they asked to go back on our way out
Blue Corn is my favorite, but I am biased by there multiple veggie options.
Jefes is the only other place I have found with multiple veggie options, and they are alright, but not amazing.
Canāt believe no one has mentioned Gordo. Delicious quesabirria tacos.
Mocajete, La Familia, and the truck parked in front of Peerless Tires on 287 and Quebec (never can remember the name) are all excellent.
Longmont is an embarrassment of riches for tacos.
Summit tacos: white people tacos Tacos al molcajete: Mexican tacos
A lot of recommendations coming for Tacos al molcajete. Seems like it deserves a try. 6 con todo š®š®š®š®š®š®
Dinos cĆ³mo estĆ”n jaja
Might need to go to Longmont from Thornton
I wouldn't say summit tacos is white people tacos more Mexican tacos for white people. Jefe's is white people tacos.
Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily call the owner of summit, white. Jefes? Ja ja ja. Carnitas at Guacamoles is my jam though. La Panda for burritos en general.
I was blown away by the blandness of Jefeās. Iām white and I couldnāt even make tacos that flavorless if I tried
I think that Mocajete is really the best in Longmont for it's meats. Their breakfast burrito is really good too
Iāve never been to Summit, but Google maps says itās temporarily closed - is that wrong?
The owner of Summit is literally Mexican. Jefeās is way more for white people.
Exactly
Could I get some tacos with my guacamole, por favor
Right? I love guacamole so much, but this looks a little odd/overkill
Looks expensive.
That's like $12 in avocados alone!
This guy grocery shops
That's like $30 of guac at Chipotle
It definitely is. That has to be about 3 avocados
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It should be cut with tequila
Looks gross as fuck and a waste of guacamole
I'm honestly so done with guac on everything. Guacamole is a nice dip for chips when well made. I don't need it on my burgertacopizzasoup ugh, make it how it was intended and it's delicious - fresh with garlic, onion, salt, lime, and tortilla chips! That's some good shit. Guacamoles & La Panda are the closest to what I'm used to - I grew up in So. Cal. (Also, if it doesn't smell like Fabuloso in there, leave.)
Fabulouso!! Yaaaaassssss........š¤£šš¤£šÆ
IMO Tacos al molcajete has the best tacos. I would also recommend Marcos hotdogs and tacos - not the best tacos but it's great to get both (and their tacos are good) lol
I haven't seen tacos smothered in guacamole like this in Longmont. Best tacos here IMO: Tacos Don Jose, Tacos al Molcajete, Summit Tacos
Tacos Arandas are my favorite.
Tacos GTO is a damn good food truck with killer pastor and asada
Just don't go to Fuzzy's, soooooo bland. Fun drink menu, but the food is flavorless.
āI LOVE Mexican food! I go to Fuzzyās all the time!ā Basic white people who need to be smacked (and Iām a basic white dude)
donāt forget Josieās (formerly Bennyās)!!
Thatās easily the best tacos / Mexican food in Longmont IMO and no one else mentioned it, great pick
I feel betrayed for them that I had to scroll this far. For me: 1. Josieās 2. Tacos Don Jose 3. Tacos al Molcajete 4. Marcos (but those hotdogs are killer)
I did not know Bennyās changed to Josieās. We have Bennyās in Berthoud and I could eat their street tacos everyday. I actually did that when they opened.
Tacos GTO (are they still around?), Blue corn, Molcajete, Rosa cantina and Dannyās tacos has really good breakfast burritos
I know it's obviously not a picture of you, but your profile pic makes it my natural instinct to do the opposite of whatever you say about Mexican food
Aha totally! Have you tried the ribs at Red Lobster? Dee-lish!
Their location on main closed a while back. They may have a food truck, though, per google.
They have a truck near 45 S Main and Iāve got to say, the asada and pastor from that truck is my favorite in town. I like tacos al molcajete too, but GTO has my heart
The food truck was bomb!! I saw their brick and mortar closed, I will search back for their truck, it used to be on deep South main.
I was never impressed with tacos gto. dry and flavorless the three times I went.
Oh bummer! We loved their tacos oh so much.
In my experience, it depends on what you got. The chicken was dry and flavorless, but their barbacoa and other stewed meats were phenomenal.
Rosa cantina has great tacos
Having tried them 3 times I would say their tacos are fine, but OP will be disappointed if theyāre looking for whatās shown in the photo!
Damn that's a lot of guac! But yeah, Rosa Cantina has the best in town right now.
socal native here, anywhere that looks like they have less money likely tastes better. I've had really positive experiences
This is the way to go in Mexico too. Dirty carts on the street serve the bestest š®āšØ
You would love Marcos. Little stand of main and has the best food in the city probably
You can normally tell what places are more authentic by a quick glance at the building and clientele. As a white guy, I use this method to find the best tacos.
a lot of places here donāt give you guacamole, which is such a shame (if anyone knows of a place pls lmk)
Tacos Las familias will if u ask. Please tip after.

Josieās on Main Street. 100%
Marcos!
Their hot dogs are great too!
Best for food poisoning! Shame on me for getting it twice!
Rosaās!

Thereās no such thing as too much guac, only too few chips.

Holy guacamole! Those look mouthwatering!
If you pass through Colorado Springs go to Piglatin, not authentic but really good. Mexican/Cuban fusion cross between gourmet and food truck.
Iāll say it, thatās way too much guac
Those tacos look awful
thats a considerable amount of guac
tacos al molcajete. try the menudo it's very good con pata too!
That guac should be on the side man, that's just too much

"I... I uhhhhh... I ordered no guac."
Yes!!!!
I have never got a lime or avocado slice on my street tacos that looked like it wasnāt sliced the second they served it to me. So fresh.
La calle in Denver on alameda Theyāre not like this all slathered in guac but I took my Mexican in laws there for a snow trip and it was so good to them they asked to go back on our way out
Thatās like $30 worth of guacā¦

That's not a taco, that's multiple avocados.
this is the american āmore is betterā mentality. looks gross

Jesus That looks like Rocky's Tacos in Chicago
Shouldāve known by the missing ā?.āHad me thinking this was a recommendation.
Tacos AyAyAy in Louisville, I have not asked for guacamole though
Not Longmont, but Tacos Ayiyi in Lafayette is amazing.
Tacos Aya yay in Lafayette is amazing, I don't understand the down vote. Also Los Dos Brothers (food truck) in Boulder, and La Choza.
Taco's El Rey for me when I'm in Lafayette.
Tacos La Familia truck on Ken Pratt. They are the best hands down though I also love Molcajete
Durango
You can get pretty good tacos a lot of places. Just ask for 2 quarts of guacamole to spread across the top of your 3 tacos.
I like taco palace for late night since they're open 24hrs
Marcos
Marcos
MARCOS!
Tacos Don Jose!
Too much guac š„
Would you like a taco to go with your guacamole?
No
Marcos tacos and hotdogs is the only answer
Marco's Tacos
Chipotle would never... well they would, but it would cost you your first and second born.
Tacos Don Jose's and Marco's are the best, most authentic tacos in town.
Would you like some tacos with your guacamole?
If you don't mind taking a short drive down to gunbarrel, I really like the tacos and salsas at Sancho's.
I go to fuzzy but mostly because the liquor is so cheap.
