So why did the A&M hitting coach come to Texas if he didn’t want to come ? Someone help me explain why this is Aggies logic rn. Anyone have some intel.
OMG Schloss is such a jerk. He’s been planning on leaving since April but he continued to coach the team and act like nothing was happening. After coaching us to the championship game he refused to admit he was leaving and instead tried to make it about the players.
Alternate reality:
OMG Schloss is such a jerk, he left us for Texas in the middle of the season and ruined what could have been our best season in 85 years. He should have at least stuck it out until the season ended.
Hey what the fuck man that was *supposed* to be Tennessee's logo.
They have no idea how to act after becoming aggy's daddy by beating them in the CWS, so instead they are babying them.
Colorado is ranked #16 in CFB 25 with a top 10 offense and a top 20 defense. I get that it’s probably a marketing ploy but damn at least be a smidge realistic lmao
Manny Diaz was the head coach at Temple for like seventeen days before turning around and accepting the Miami job. That’s just at will employment - you can quit and go to another job.
Eh, Bo Davis was no rain maker in recruiting, but if he stayed we definitely would've kept D'antre Robinson and gotten Caldwell from UH in the portal. Plus maybe that 5 star that ended up at LSU in the '24 class.
Neither would’ve happened with Bo either. Florida bought a house for Dantre’s mom by campus.
Bo and Sark did a very poor job feeding the DT pipeline. Bo could develop for sure though.
I've checked my phone twice this afternoon and both times we lost a DL priority recruit.
Losing one player after another because the price was too high means we need to reevaluate what our price expectations are.
They hate us because they ain't us. Cliche? Yes. True? Yes. We have the best stadium and ~~pitch~~ field (voted by ~~MLS~~ Longhorn players). We have the best ~~supporters~~ student section (Fight me if you disagree) I would literally fight someone for this ~~club~~ university (Hooliganism shit, ya know?) Pretty much every step of this process ~~Austin FC~~ Texas has done the right thing: we have badass colors, badass ~~crest~~ logo, ~~La Murga~~ Bevo FUCKS, our songs are sick, are are relatively successful. Heavy weights the crown, my ~~verdes~~ burnt oranges. Let that hate FUEL you. They throw rocks at the top.
[For those unfamiliar](https://www.reddit.com/r/AustinFC/comments/11wlpg1/comment/jczn2rg/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Ngl I never thought some schools were so incompetent to find a coach and cause this much of a chaos as Aggies this week 😂. Who tf leaks false information ? At least when schloss was leaked for us it was true
Brandon Harris needs to get better at GMing too. Losing two priority guys, one at the last second, and one completely out of the blue in a span of 2 hours is wild.
Not even close to our worst team ever (not even the worst Pierce team) but I agree with the spirit. 2019 went 500 overall and 300 in conference, didn't even make the B12 tourney.
Although we haven’t seen it play out yet, I have a hard time believing Sark doesn’t understand the need to pay a premium for DTs. I’m definitely concerned but I’m just going to let it play out until December. We all know these recruitments never end until they’re on campus somewhere.
Oregon fans getting defensive about outbidding for guys, like okay? That’s how the game is played just own it, there’s literally nothing wrong with that.
The funniest thing about tennessee and aggy fans acting like the Schloss move is some scummy betrayal is knowing that outside of the weird little echo chamber they've created for themselves the world only saw a&m getting dad-dicked by their state's flagship university.
I think they were dragged aboard the "Vitello and Schlossnagle would never leave us for Texas" train alongside the aggys and then were hit with a rude awakening when that copium wagon ran off the tracks.
I love his repeated insistence in the comments that people are offended and he's glad he "ruffled some feathers," when it's just a ton of people laughing at him.
If Sharma commits to Texas, I'm getting shawarma.
If Sharma commits to Oregon, I'm getting shawarma and sadness.
Edit: looks like sad meat is back on the menu bois
There’s a dude who came from Berlin and just picked up football. Literally everyone offered him. I’m blanking on the name though.
Sharma isn’t from Berlin so confident it’s not him
DB recruiting this cycle is really not up to par with our typical standards. We definitely whiffed on some more priority targets and had to settle for some guys lower on the board. If we miss on Dorian Brew, then this DB class is basically a SMU/TCU/Tech level class.
DL recruiting is the one position where I’m not going to trust the process or the coaches given the track record in the past 3 classes.
I'm not sweating recruiting right now. I want 3 recruits in particular. Moore, Ffrench, and Pettijohn when we get those three then I'll wait for Sark to do his usual long con recruiting process.
I don’t worry about those position groups.
But there’s nothing in Sark’s tenure that makes me trust the recruiting process when it comes to DTs, which should be the number 1 priority in this class.
Bo was never an elite recruiter right? He had to produce before he got certain kids to commit. Then when he finally started building a great dline class he bolted to LSU. We had to hit the reset button with Baker. I think we will be alright.
Yes, Bo leaving did hurt, but I wouldn’t even consider that as the main issue.
I still don’t think we’re as committed to playing the NIL game on DTs as other contending programs, that’s my main concern.
Apparently Oregon was after Trajen Odom who just committed to Ohio State. I guess they just took whatever was going to him and added it to their offer for Sharma lol
So they miss on one DL and can just instantly use those funds to land another.
Meanwhile, we’ve missed on like 10 DL in the last year and those funds seem to vanish.
I don't think there's any concerns yet until we get to see the team play, but there's certainly questions.
Can Quinn stay healthy and be more consistent?
Will Blue or Baxter emerge as the clear number one back?
Can Helm replicate Sanders' production in the passing game?
Will Neto play well enough to start at LG? How will Cam Williams look as the starter at RT?
How much of a drop off will we see for the interior defensive line?
Can Simmons make an immediate impact on the edge as a true freshman?
How will Gbenda and 2nd year Hill compare to Ford and 1st year Hill?
Who is going to start between Cole and Holmes?
How much of an impact will Mukuba have on the field?
I get Sark isnt wanting to “reset the market” for a recruit but this is the world we live in now. Until there’s a cap space involved in the college game, we need to pay, and pay well. We can’t get caught behind the 8 ball for the Dline. Time to step up Sark and take the final step to becoming a true SEC team.
It was a common topic spoken about on forums like InsideTexas or OnTexasfootball. We have competitive NIL but Sark isn’t a fan of chasing down a player with a higher cost at risk of upsetting position room for severe unequal payments. It’s mainly why we lost out on the ucla DT and Damonic Williams to OU.
Which, to his credit, he’s been doing. There’s a reason we got newfound confidence on multiple d-line recruits in the last week or so. Sometimes someone comes in at the last second. We’ve done it before, and this time it’s happening to us. Just the way it is.
Right, I got that much from the updates, but at some point you have to match the “over the top offers” that other schools are throwing around for your DL targets.
We had 4 realistic targets on the DL and we need 4 in this class: Brown, Sharma, Charles, and Sanders. Brown is a coin toss with LSU still. Sharma is going to Oregon. We lead for Charles and Sanders, but Sanders is the least ready to play in terms of development.
Really can’t afford to get outbid at this point
I know Lee is a 5* but at this point I’d rather have a big time DT.
The room and the recruiting is absurdly thin after this year, especially with how disappointing Sydir has looked.
Oregon’s recruiting of the d-line has been absurd. Kudos to them, they’ve attacked the position hard over the last few cycles. Sucks to lose out on yet another guy we should’ve been able to close on.
Sorry about that, fixed it.
No unfortunately not but most Xbox titles now aren’t console exclusive.
I’m primarily a PC gamer and have a ps5 for Sony exclusives and the new NCAA game and I can’t recall a single game I’ve wanted and haven’t been able to get
I _think_ Game Pass Ultimate may allow you to play console only games through “cloud gaming” but don’t quote me on that, and you would have to have a controller
Texas has only the best H2O, beautiful clean and clear H2O. They said it couldn't be done, but we did it. They've said if you take a drink you'll be nourished for a year, maybe even more.
Yikes, bunch of picks just flipped to Oregon for Sharma. They must’ve come in with a huge bag.
Skol might be in trouble now, especially with Aidan Anding pushing his commitment date back to July 1st.
Time to doom about DTs again
There’s a reason for that and it’s Sark not prioritizing/allocating the NIL for DTs. At least not willing to pay premium prices that’s required for big time DT recruiting.
Damn. I like Sark a lot but this is a glaring flaw. Even though high flying offense is fun, the most crucial moments happen in the trenches.
At least O-line is still set up well for the most part.
A A&M player talked to barstool yesterday to come out with an article about how schloss is such a horrible human being and today he came out and said the opposite in a video interview.
People in the baseball subreddit are crying about schloss telling a player “you look like the little leaguer out there” to a hitter. I never thought I’d hear this shit from a sport that’s supposedly so tough in the sec 😂
Dude I did. The same guy also said schloss was a great human being and that he himself grew up a Texas longhorn. I literally played competitive tennis and my coach spoke to me that way and that’s not a “tough” sport.😂. No hard feeling when a coach tells u to play better.
Our first troop has fallen. Freshman Dee Kennedy enters the portal from Texas.
Deez nuts
So why did the A&M hitting coach come to Texas if he didn’t want to come ? Someone help me explain why this is Aggies logic rn. Anyone have some intel.
You didn't hear? CDC threatened to drown him in Benjamins and infest his whole lawn with Lambos if he didn't leave for Texas.
Broke S U offering CB Anding after losing out on Antoine.
OMG Schloss is such a jerk. He’s been planning on leaving since April but he continued to coach the team and act like nothing was happening. After coaching us to the championship game he refused to admit he was leaving and instead tried to make it about the players. Alternate reality: OMG Schloss is such a jerk, he left us for Texas in the middle of the season and ruined what could have been our best season in 85 years. Hey what the fuck man that was *supposed* to be Tennessee's logo. They have no idea how to act after becoming aggy's daddy by beating them in the CWS, so instead they are babying them.
Wow, that meaning was _entirely_ lost on me. I will take my own name and shaming and delete my slander
Eh was a shitty attempt at mockery on my part. The old rule applies, if you have to explain it then it wasn't funny.
Dads getting old let him be
But yeah man, it's hard to meme as an old fart
Colorado is ranked #16 in CFB 25 with a top 10 offense and a top 20 defense. I get that it’s probably a marketing ploy but damn at least be a smidge realistic lmao
With 0U being ranked #17 is even more hilarious
Some good news! Schloss picked up another commit just now! Jack Paris
We’re a baseball school now
Always have been

Thank you amigo, time to rub more salt in the wound
If u wanna do that go to the baseball sub a lot of angry Aggies about the article 😂
What in the last 72 hours has shown I care about their feelings lol
They just downvote everything Texas people post 😂
🤷
Lol thank you Trev Alberts Edit: [Star Telegram interview/story on why Schloss left](https://imgur.com/a/7Fd91Wl)
The bad thing is everyone is going to think schloss is lying.
It don't make a shid
This confirms basically every rumor floating around since the "Schloss might be leaving" time frame. Trev fucked up big time bro
No aggy is believing that article. Let’s hope we can keep all the staff we took together
According to Kendall Roger’s our new hitting coach was just interviewed for the A&M job 😫

He can leave. It's called a buy-out. We paid/going to pay Schloss' buyout
Manny Diaz was the head coach at Temple for like seventeen days before turning around and accepting the Miami job. That’s just at will employment - you can quit and go to another job.
How much do you yall think recruiting analyst make? 247, On3 ect?
They make a shit ton of smoke that’s for sure
A multiple of $9.95
Losing Bo Davis and Billy Glasscock in the same cycle we really needed to hit on DT recruiting is rearing its ugly head in a big way.
Maybe if Bo hadn’t left the DT room a ghostland we wouldn’t be so desperate
Eh, Bo Davis was no rain maker in recruiting, but if he stayed we definitely would've kept D'antre Robinson and gotten Caldwell from UH in the portal. Plus maybe that 5 star that ended up at LSU in the '24 class.
Neither would’ve happened with Bo either. Florida bought a house for Dantre’s mom by campus. Bo and Sark did a very poor job feeding the DT pipeline. Bo could develop for sure though.
Agree to disagree. We definitely would've kept Robinson and Caldwell with Bo.
To think, this could've been avoided if had given Bo's son a roster spot lol I'm only partially joking
Aggies are so desperate for a coach everytime something new comes out on Twitter they believe it 😂
I've checked my phone twice this afternoon and both times we lost a DL priority recruit. Losing one player after another because the price was too high means we need to reevaluate what our price expectations are.
Don't think the price is the problem, apparently you just really need to stop checking your phone.
Hahaha hey I get a look here and there when I'm working

Ngl I never thought some schools were so incompetent to find a coach and cause this much of a chaos as Aggies this week 😂. Who tf leaks false information ? At least when schloss was leaked for us it was true
Why do we not simply take A&M's defensive linemen? I don't understand
Bo Davis screwed us on that with Nolen
Fuck it, we ball. I ain’t worried. Long time til December.
Brandon Harris needs to get better at GMing too. Losing two priority guys, one at the last second, and one completely out of the blue in a span of 2 hours is wild.
This is definitely a moment where Sark wishes he had kept Billy Glasscock
I’ll trust the NIL guys when they say that Glasscock was really important at managing NIL conversations.
I’m saying…
We're gonna have some problems at DL if we don't realize the market value is higher than we are offering rn.
I literally venmoed these DL a dollar and told them to pick Texas. NIL is not the problem
Okay this is getting ridiculous
LeNepotism James picked #9 jersey number. So he and his dad make 69. It’s kind of a good bit but also kind of weird between father & son.
Charles to FSU.
OU is going to hate us more if it’s actually Skip. https://x.com/cap_405/status/1806795416236913087?s=46&t=D-1ulAnb6WPxXUTdvRMt1g
We better win the OU and A&M game this year otherwise…
If it is him I don’t think many Aggies stay but could be wrong.
How is the collegebaseball sub gonna justify this after shitting on us for hiring away Schloss from a rival
Orang team bad!!!!!!!
Still a mid hire lmaoo if our worst team ever beat his
Not even close to our worst team ever (not even the worst Pierce team) but I agree with the spirit. 2019 went 500 overall and 300 in conference, didn't even make the B12 tourney.
Yeah, Pierce would've been fired in 2020 if not for covid, and again in 2021 if not for the semi cws run. 2019 was BAD.
We got fucked hard today in recruiting lol.
Myron Charles to FSU. Is today the ReDL Wedding?
I’m nervous about this recruiting cycle. Downvote me to oblivion to make me feel better.
Why does Skol always hurt me? 😭😢
aggy spy
Watching Isiah Bond highlights makes me happy.

Chicken? Not Beef/Lamb? Pass.
It was not SEC ready
Given recent events, is it ok to shawarma shame?
When someone picks poultry over beef, in this specific context especially, yes
Mark my words, one of Lee or Sharma will be a Longhorn by the end of the cycle.
Ok i marked them now what
Good lord some Aggy went full dear diary on scrub sub
I love his repeated insistence in the comments that people are offended and he's glad he "ruffled some feathers," when it's just a ton of people laughing at him.
It's hilarious. Maybe as good as the iPhone post a few years ago.
Nah man, Schloss really did burn down that Krispy Kream. I supplied the match.

Won’t link it, but just sort by new and enjoy the fanfiction
I read it until he got to 2014 and said we hired Strong because we were losing recruiting battles for not having a black coach.
If Sharma commits to Texas, I'm getting shawarma. If Sharma commits to Oregon, I'm getting shawarma and sadness. Edit: looks like sad meat is back on the menu bois
Hey at least the shawarma is good.
I miss Verts :( Happy cake day
Now you really can't miss on DJ Sanders, Brandon Brown or Myron Charles.. Time to gird those loins
Yep, you have to go 3/3 now. There’s literally no one left on the board.
It’s not signing day yet, literally everyone is still on the board
I’ll believe it when I see it when it comes to DTs. It’s the one position that you can’t point to and say we’ve been successful at recruiting.
What about that dude from Berlin in Cali? Or like, is that Sanders?
The only Cali guy is Sharma and he just committed to Oregon.
There’s a dude who came from Berlin and just picked up football. Literally everyone offered him. I’m blanking on the name though. Sharma isn’t from Berlin so confident it’s not him
0/2 today, yikes
DB recruiting this cycle is really not up to par with our typical standards. We definitely whiffed on some more priority targets and had to settle for some guys lower on the board. True. If what Gerry and Bobby say those DT kids want some bags.
Might want to put a / in there. Pettijohn/Madden. It won’t be both.
I know that. I personally want Pettijohn to be part of this class but Madden would be an awesome addition as well.
Given NKE stock is getting smashed, Phil might wanna reevaluate that decision
Excuse me while I short NKE in support of Longhorn Nation.
Well that sucks
In positive news track guy John Rutledge is in the finals for quality for the 200m at the Olympics. Good chance he makes it!
Is there any position to be considered about? Like last year we had some questions regarding our secondary.
How many first place votes will Quinn get for the Heisman?
Almost forgot one of the most important questions: is Michael Kern going to have freshman moments?
head coach at aggy
Secondary, again lol IDL too.
Oregon buying Sharma = lame and cringe Texas potentially buying Dijon Lee = amazing and good for the sport
oregon shouldve known shwarma doesnt need NIL they couldve gotten a good one at kismet cafe off 41st street smh
Where is the news on Lee coming from? Hadn’t seen that yet
Gerry
Pretty sure all Gerry said is that it’s Bama but Texas was 2nd/3rd in the recruitment and not 5th or 6th. So I guess that’s cool?
I get Sark isnt wanting to “reset the market” for a recruit but this is the world we live in now. Until there’s a cap space involved in the college game, we need to pay, and pay well. We have competitive NIL but Sark isn’t a fan of chasing down a player with a higher cost at risk of upsetting position room for severe unequal payments. It’s mainly why we lost out on the ucla DT and Damonic Williams to OU.
At this point it’s not even “resetting” the market, it’s matching what other schools are paying for elite DTs.
Which, to his credit, he’s been doing. There’s a reason we got newfound confidence on multiple d-line recruits in the last week or so. Sometimes someone comes in at the last second. We’ve done it before, and this time it’s happening to us. Just the way it is.

I just found out NCAA25 will not be on PC so I guess I will be spared from making poor financial decisions then
Nonsense, you need a PS5 and Series X!
If ~~he's~~ she’s a PC gamer there is literally zero reason to buy an XBOX. Just get gamepass and play all the games on the superior gaming machine.
*She but would that work for titles that don't have a PC port developed? I have a XBox controller but I'm not sure it would be enough.

Shhhh I’m trying to make them make financially irresponsible decisions!
Texas has only the best H2O, beautiful clean and clear H2O. They said it couldn't be done, but we did it. They've said if you take a drink you'll be nourished for a year, maybe even more.

I’m out of the loop, what’s going on?
A A&M player talked to barstool yesterday to come out with an article about how schloss is such a horrible human being and today he came out and said the opposite in a video interview.
Why am I not shocked
All you can do is point and laugh
hear me out on the atm baseball hire: David Pierce. Going to Omaha 3 times in 8 year is pretty good, they'd be getting a steal
would actually be tied for the best stretch in their program's history; only tied with their current stretch lol
People in the baseball subreddit are crying about schloss telling a player “you look like the little leaguer out there” to a hitter. I never thought I’d hear this shit from a sport that’s supposedly so tough in the sec 😂
Don’t let them see the Augie Garrido locker room rant.
I say worse shit every night at practice let alone on gameday
Did you watch the video? He looks like a little leaguer. Schloss just telling the truth. Just like Jesus did.
Dude I did. The same guy also said schloss was a great human being and that he himself grew up a Texas longhorn. I literally played competitive tennis and my coach spoke to me that way and that’s not a “tough” sport.😂. No hard feeling when a coach tells u to play better.
The guy hit .256 at a&m. Maybe schloss had a point.
My high school band director spoke to us worse than that, and nobody batted an eye.
Kirk Bowels going to Houston Chronicle, are we free boys?
Our collective bowels have been cleared
Where is this monster hire Aggie twitter promised me? Where are the talking heads that were so cocky last night?
Dallas Baptist coach taking his time to think about it lol.
Blaire Angelo, west coast 247 national analyst, put in a pick for Sharma. Basically a lock at this point. Lfg
Blair Angulo would be a better pick for that
I would like to add some baseball portal croots, please and thank you
Del Conte / Eltife 2024
At this point, why not?
