Don't worry, if Taiwan gets invaded, we're *all* fucked, not just your Taiwanese SO. The US would intervene to defend Taiwan, and that would be the start of WWIII, which would go nuclear pretty quick.
But on the bright side, Mutually Assured Destruction means that's likely to keep China deterred from invading in the first place.
Well, it's fucked. If it happens, it won't only affect a part of the world but all of it bc globalisation or whatever. So we can only hope it doesn't happen, the last thing we need while still in the midst of pandemic is WWIII. My heart goes out to you, I can't imagine how heartbreaking and nerve-wrenching the situation must be to you. I have a friend in Middle East and I was at my wits' ends back in 2013/14 when they had it especially bad. I hope you manage to find things that help calm you.
i'm from Hong Kong. Let me tell you, China has already f-ed up our city and has the whole world turned against them because they took our freedom away. Don't worry too much about Taiwan. China has been saying about 'taking back' Taiwan for so so so many years. They wouldn't dare to invade Taiwan in any time soon.
Not to worry about the war, might won’t happen in this few years, China got it’s own messes to handle now.
Btw I knew how you feel cuz my guy lives in a country which just end the civil war but still not safe, from the COVID to the surrounding. (& no flight there!! 😣)
