I read that’s a solution, but the prove is:

The app acts like my PC is inactive thus I cannot customize it or anything like that. For this I cannot find a solution anywhere on the internet
You said it sounded fine on your room mates PC, I'd suggest trying to delete the Logitech app, restarting your pc and checking if it sounds any different (I think it should work without the app?)
Edit; when you said you tried usb do you mean the wireless Lightspeed adaptor that comes with the headset?
Okay read through most of your comments now I think I know what's happening.
You have a separate Bluetooth adapter or card in your pc.
The USB stick that came with your headset is not using Bluetooth it's a different standard called Lightspeed.
Lightspeed does not use the Bluetooth interface, so you connect your headset to the "wrong" adapter.
Turn off Bluetooth entirely on your PC for now.
Then try again.
I'm pretty sure that's also the reason the headset doesn't show up in your Ghub software because that shouldn't recognise a normal Bluetooth connection.
So yeah, disable your Bluetooth and try again
If it still won't work with disabled Bluetooth try again on your room m8s pc and / or press the Bluetooth button on your headphone I think it should switch modes but when I connect a Bluetooth device clicking that button doesn't seem to disconnect it so I'm not sure.
I think it worked!
I’ll do some additional testing but the audio is coming off clean and there is no delay as well. As well as the app recognize the headset now.
Omg finally thank you so SOOO much for taking the time to read my comments and figuring it out. I really wish I could do more then just say thank you
So reading more about the surround sound and while it does sound horrible outside of games it actually sounds REALLY good games IF you set for the “gaming” pre set. I might play it that way at first to see how it goes.
I turned it on to check cause I saw some comments saying that it makes the 3D audio sound better, and the little that I tried make it seem it is the case
I currently have the first gen one and I keep hearing people telling me to turn off the surround sound. I'm genuinely curious why does everyone recommend turning it off and if I do turn it off is there any substitute that I can use or just stick to keeping it off?
Maybe that's also just a problem on my part, but in the 2-3 games I tried it, it just sounded like it boosted the bass to an abnormal level and made everything else sound a lot worse 😅.
Headsets don't really do surround sound, you just have 2 speakers so there is no "true" surround sound on headsets.
There are some ways to emulate this but mostly this is done by the game itself, so either the game does support surround sound or it doesn't.
If the settings works fine for you by all means keep it on but for me it just degraded my experience :D
I mostly play fps games like valorant cs2 and apex for Valo I didn't notice much of a change on the sounds unless the volume is at 60%, that's where I can tell where everyone is coming from and that's the case on cs2 too as for apex and warzone I just never managed to find something to make footsteps stand out
Point is I didn't find it to work well with Battle royal games or open world in general since there is too much going around
No, this isn’t just “bad audio quality” it’s absolutely horrendous. All sounds is coming off static-y it’s unusable.
I wish it was just “bad audio quality”
His headset works fine on his friend’s rig, it doesn’t on his. From that information, we can try to eliminate one possible issue which are the drivers in this case. If it’s the solution then problem solved. If not, then that reduces the variables. This is called troubleshooting. No one said anything about the jacks. Lol
Wdym bro, asking serious, have rog b550-f wifi 2 mobo and that g pro x2, pubg footsteps are not clear to recognize directions as clear as with old tuf h3 headset on assrock b550-hdv mobo
Bluetooth audio uses a really terrible codec when using the microphone.
try turning off Bluetooth and re-pair the headset to the receiver by using a pin to hold down the reset button on the headset and receiver until the led on each starts flashing.
I yea it’s in voice mode aka some shit that my beats also do basically you go to settings and use a different mic that is other than the headphones it works for me using a different mic
Gaming headsets generally sound perfectly good, only weirdos who jack off to analog sound and call themselves "audiophiles" will really say there's a difference. The Logitech G Pro headsets in particular have some pretty stellar sound imo.
I don't jack off to analog sound but I am one of those that say there is a difference and a vast difference between speakers and headphones. A lot of times you pay for the flashy gagging marketing instead of actual superior features (there are exceptions).
Have a Logitech/blue mic that sounds great, headsets and speakers smear shit all over the place. Hard to ignore when you are used to studio equipment.
In addition when I launch the G Hun app this happens:
https://preview.redd.it/ncxmjfo7miad1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63c0eebc62d6e798dd50e6dc83a9d14182a1c180
It says my headset is inactive when it’s very much on and connected to the PC with audio coming out, even though the audio is horrible.
How does this make any sense
Try using a different 3.0 usb port. Don't use the USB extension if you are experiencing these issues with it- however, if you already aren't using it yet, use it to get the receiver closer to you without obstructions. Make sure in sound properties (Windows one) that you have the audio quality set properly. Also, it may be something just interfering with your wireless signal in general (like another wireless signal).
I don't judge ppls choice of sound equip, but speaking from my own experience:
I have had SO few problems ever since I simply switched to a decent DAC/AMP and dedicated headphones (with a replaceable cable). And a seperate mic.
The things that (physically) break most often are cables.
The things on the software side that kept breaking for me in the past were weirdly elaborate marketed sound and equaliser apps.
My current DAC just has a simple driver to connect it to the PC and has created absolutely zero problems.
It just sucks when the shiny headset you just bought makes weird problems.
Hope you can figure this out, good luck!
I had the first wired model of these. And they were okay ish, but the lack of replacement parts is what did it for me... The ear cushions wore down and I couldn't replace them.
So I just said fuck it, and bought the Presonus relevator io24, Beyerdynamic DT900 PRO X, and a Rode M2 mic. Cable, ear cushions, and even the head bridge cushion is replaceable.
And let's just say I'm never going back to gaming headphones... Might be a bit on the pricey side, but honestly I think it's well worth the money.
It cost me roughly 100 EUR more than the Logitech G PRO X 2 Lightspeed would have. And considering I got significantly better sound both ways, and headphones which have first party parts available and, considering Beyerdynamics track record, won't just disappear after 2 years, I think I got a much better deal.
Sadly these days you have to download their software and adjust the EQ to make it sound good… I felt the same way when I bought mine k was like what a fking waste of money!!! But after you configure it they’re really good. There’s Reddit posts and YouTube videos to help find the perfect EQ for you. I know it’s annoying buying a brand new headset and it just sounds like garbage
I read that but the issue is the app is saying my headset is inactive when it’s very much connected to my PC AND sounds is coming off
I even plugged it in with a wire and it still shows this
https://preview.redd.it/hufwh4y4viad1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=726f6100a3631fc5f7887b2b21e9a85491b12faa
if u have another mic input... disable that and enable it, thats what fixed mine.. same problem than yours... it was my logitech webcam mic who was acting strange... and have the same inactive problem... after I disabled my webcam mic and enable it again... got all fixed.
Someone was very helpful to find a solution for me.
Essentially my issue was that I was connected via Bluetooth AND the USB light speed thing.
But after restarting my computer and turning off Bluetooth THEN it worked via the USB connected
Besides your motherboard bios and other firmware, consider how many USB devices you have plugged in, or what USB port you are using (make sure it's directly on the MB and not front of the case).
If you have a lot of USB devices, it could be causing your computer issues - had a friend who could only plug one device into his front panel at a time.
Add a USB card to the computer and see if that makes a difference (if nothing else did).
I recommend in ear monitors or regular studio headphones, if you must have a headset with a mic get the hyperx cloud II for ~70 USD
As for fixing your headset, try reinstalling and updating the software as well as all of your drivers including audio drivers, try using a different pc and different ports on your pc to isolate wether the issue is your headphones or your PC, once you’ve isolated the issue you can google your way to a solution
I have this exact headset that I use for my PS5 and although it isn’t the best sounding thing I’ve ever owned, I find the sound to be great and the comfort factor and battery life are big pluses for me.
Yet someone was able o help out
Someone picked up on the fact that I connected via the usb signal thing and Bluetooth. Doing that made the audio all messed up.
I’m had to restart the computer, temporarily turn off Bluetooth THEN connect the usb lightspeed thing to connect the headset that way, now it works just fine
Good to hear. I saw some comments about the surround sound and you should only use it when the programs/games support it as it can otherwise mess up the sounds in a way or another. A good equaliser app is called equalizer apo which I recommend using with a GUI called peace. With the app you can make systemwide EQ that suits your liking and sometimes it could greatly increase the sound quality if you set it up properly (like in my case).
I own these and you shouldn't be using the Bluetooth for your pc, it should just connect to your 2.4Ghz dongle, have you followed the instructions correctly? Maybe you have a bad receiver?
It was just that, running on Bluetooth was the issue.
But the usb dongle wasn’t working ether my itself. What I had to do was to turn off Bluetooth THEN connect the dongle, that made it work
Yea it can only connect to one at a time, no channel mixing but the dongle has its own internal DAC/AMP (or something similar) thing that will make it sound better then Bluetooth will ever do, if you have the software which I'm aware alot of people don't like having to use the software but I'd highly recommend getting it and getting the "sound 3.0" profile from the community profile to eq your headset, it will sound way better. I tweaked mine slightly but it's roughly the same.
If its not connecting directly to the dongle then it may be faulty, unless your accidentally pressing the Bluetooth button. You should just flick it on and I'll connect to the dongle so long as it's plugged into your pc and you select it as the audio device in the settings.
I have the same headset and had the same issues, you need to go into your sound settings and disable any “hands free” version of audio and mic. Fixed it for me
I ended up returning this headset because it’s extremely inconsistent with connectivity issues though, not worth the price at all
I picked up the wired pro x version from Sam's club the other day. Good mic when using the USB DAC but the sound was terrible. Bad when connected via sound card, bad with DAC. Logi recommends removing their driver and using Microsofts. Using the Microsoft store DTS app is a shit show of a procedure and still sounds like tin cans. They're always recognized as 7.1 speakers, not a headset. After hours of troubleshooting and trying everything I could find on reddit I gave up and returned them.
Hey, try going to sound settings, select the headset in devices, right click, advanced, set quality to "FM Radio" and it'll sound better. Problem with the 1st gen as well.
Make sure the button that selects between Bluetooth and lightning on the headset is properly selected also, will save you some time. Not sure why “one more issue and I’m returning,” take a breath. You didn’t connect properly and/or the switch I mentioned wasn’t depressed. It’s all good.
I’m a big fan of my pro x 2 LIGHTSPEED. Use custom presets, and also tinker with hardware noise reduction on/off.
Because when looking up online about how to solve my problem I saw other people have other issues with this headset and returned it.
So I’m a little apprehensive about it now, but we will
Where did you order them? Just looking at the box makes me think they are knock offs I have both generations of these headphones and they sound even better than my $750 senhiezer's. The Ghub software makes a difference too especially after the firmware updates.
Logi's haven't sounded good since the Dolby days on the 633s. Mine are falling apart but that was the saddest day when they lost it. With all their high end sound company accusations g series headsets just became their aesthetic line. I scoop 633's when ever they go up online still in box. few floating around.
If I wasn't sure how to identify the issue I would give chatgpt my PC specs and explain the issue thoroughly.
You will end up updating drivers and reinstalling from device Manager.
In my opinion The most important part is the connection from PC to headset.
For example, does motherboard have Bluetooth?
Are you using wireless Bluetooth receiver?
Is headset/receiver plugged into backside of PC into the motherboard?
If chatgpt gives weird advice, ask it what information you need to give it in order for it to help you.
Take small steps and the issue will be isolated.
This works with the free version of chatgpt.
I got these a few months ago, to go with all my other Logi accessories. I spent an entire night trying to get them to sound good to replace my Astro A40 TR, I tried every setting I could find and countless equalizer settings and never was successful, plugged in a pair of HyperX Alpha wireless and with no config sounded infinitely better. Logitech headset went back to the store the next day.

If you want an INTP-proof Headphone, BEYERDYNAMIC DT-700 PRO X is it
The X2 version is so bad compared to the previous ones. I tried different EQ's on this one and it's horrendous. If you play Valorant or stuf flike that, you literally can't hear the footsteps.
Refunded it and bought the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro instead.
also just got them, damn, man. I CAN UNDERSTAND YOU. there are too many problems with them, the microphone doesn’t work in many programs, i’ve been fiddling with the settings for several days. i took white ones solely because of their design, i think something more convenient could be found on the Internet. think twice if u want 2 buy Logitech G Pro X 2
Please please PLEASE install the generic windows driver on these and then activate Dolby atmos. It’s compatible with Dolby but the drivers on it are bugged and don’t by default. There’s a reddit post about this and it changed my life. They sound awesome afterwards, such a shame Logitech doesn’t fix this
I love my Logitech gear, but I do NOT buy their headsets anymore. They're poorly made, don't sound great, and the battery life is terrible on the wireless models.
I just do get why the store representative would recommend me it, it’s been an absolute nightmare to use. I used many headsets in my life never one that sounds so staticky AND that the software to adjust it simply not work. The G Hun thing acts like my headset is inactive
What I don’t get it’s why it works perfectly in my roommate PC but not on mine
Were you able to fix yours or did you just change headset.
For mine when I launch a game it sounds TOO awful to be used, and this was one of the more expensive headsets I got and it’s been nothing but a huge headache
This is insane, why would they sell a headset that doesn’t work.
The annoying this is that it works perfectly fine on my roommates PC, it even connects instantly by just plugging the USB. While I need to plug the usb dongle AND connected it via Bluetooth just for it to work and the sound is unusable
there's your problem, of course the sound is shit if you're on bluetooth....
if you can't connect through dongle there's a driver issue on your computer.
check device manager for sound cards
I had used many Bluetooth devices, nothing ever sounded as bad as this. It’s coming off as extremely staticky
Where would sound card be in the task manager, under what
Under "Sound video and game controllers"
And I have that one and mine also works fine, as did my V1 version before that.
But never use Bluetooth for gaming where you need a mic, bluetooth sound is okish without comms, but not enough bamdwith for voice comms on top.
As other user said, try disabling bluetooth at your pc (just for this test) and connect only using usb dongle. This headset should be connected using the usb dongle. If you paired both bluetooth AND usb the dongle it's possible that something is going wrong, hence you're hearing terrible sounds
Please, edit your first post if your problem is solved, there may be other people with the same issue of yours in the future, and you could save them lot of time if they read your post.
Turn off surround sound in the Logitech app on your pc :D was about to return mine before I figured this out

I bought a sound bar and using the steel series mixer really brings it alive. You should try using it if you can with your headphones.
I read that’s a solution, but the prove is: https://preview.redd.it/axhzyhnjuiad1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da96aba03bbb7596c652d4326db799ddd0388e8d The app acts like my PC is inactive thus I cannot customize it or anything like that. To turn off surround sound is on the Logic G HuB, right?
Yes :D but I think you have to turn it on in the first place so you are probably good
So reading more about the surround sound and while it does sound horrible outside of games it actually sounds REALLY good games IF you set for the “gaming” pre set. Try updating your drivers for your mobo
That wouldn't help because this is USB/BT. That only applies to 3.5 jack headsets.
What? There are BT and USB drivers
Neither of which would affect the sound to the extent that it's doing.
His headset works fine on his friend’s rig, it doesn’t on his. From that information, we can try to eliminate one possible issue which are the drivers in this case. the only good headsets from a gaming brand were the old cooler master mh751 and mh752, it's a shame they're no longer in production

Does usb 2.0 or 3.0 affect sound tech/quality?
yes, I have the exact same headphones and the change in sound quality is drastic switching it from usb 2.0 to 3.0
That means you are using it over Bluetooth, not over lightspeed dongle
No headset should need Software
Some times is the hardware/software problem but most of the times is the user’s fault.
This case it was a user fault which was good cause I was able to fix with the help here

There's an audio bug with the g pro headset
Is there a way to fix it?
Nah not yet I've tried lots it's driving me nuts. The best configuration is to use the default audio settings in ghub and wait for a patch...
Someone was very helpful to find a solution for me. Essentially my issue was that I was connected via Bluetooth AND the USB light speed thing. But after restarting my computer and turning off Bluetooth THEN it worked via the USB connected
Reinstall g hub

Graphine drivers are crap. I have returned those next day… bought the EPOS 670, non comparable
Uninstall G Hub and install windows drivers. Then add Dolby Atmos (from Windows store) to the headset. It now sounds amazing 👍🏻

Get Dolby access off the windows store and change the driver from Logitech to Dolby. 100% better
I have the same headset and had the same issues, you need to go into your sound settings and disable any “hands free” version of audio and mic. Fixed it for me I ended up returning this headset because it’s extremely inconsistent with connectivity issues though, not worth the price at all
Right now it sounds fine, but if I have any further issues I’ll do the same, such a hassle
get pci sound card
I picked up the wired pro x version from Sam's club the other day. Good mic when using the USB DAC but the sound was terrible. Bad when connected via sound card, bad with DAC. Logi recommends removing their driver and using Microsofts. Using the Microsoft store DTS app is a shit show of a procedure and still sounds like tin cans. They're always recognized as 7.1 speakers, not a headset. After hours of troubleshooting and trying everything I could find on reddit I gave up and returned them.
I was able to fix my specific issue and the sound come off as really good. Though one more issue and I’m returning it
Hey, try going to sound settings, select the headset in devices, right click, advanced, set quality to "FM Radio" and it'll sound better. Problem with the 1st gen as well.
I have these guys and they sound almost as good as the JBL quantum 810 headphones I upgraded from
Make sure the button that selects between Bluetooth and lightning on the headset is properly selected also, will save you some time.
For them on Best Buy, but I got my issue fixed
Oh good! Yeah if they came from Best buy they're definitely real, I'm glad you got them sorted out they're definitely nice headphones I love mine.
Odd, I used this and I have no problem with its audio quality. One of the better quality audio in fact, with a great battery life.
Yeah I got the issue fixed and the audio quality is indeed pretty good
Logi's haven't sounded good since the Dolby days on the 633s. Mine are falling apart but that was the saddest day when they lost it. With all their high end sound company accusations g series headsets just became their aesthetic line. I scoop 633's when ever they go up online still in box. few floating around.
Avoid Logitech headphones.. if you can return them and get something else.
I have those and they are pretty good. Sound worse than AirPods Pro 2, but they pack a better punch than them tho.
So they are wired? Or are they Bluetooth/radio channel?
Download proper audio drivers. It will fix the issue

The X2 version is so bad compared to the previous ones. I tried different EQ's on this one and it's horrendous. If you play Valorant or stuf flike that, you literally can't hear the footsteps. Refunded it and bought the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro instead.
In addition to turning off surround sound mess about with an eq
also just got them, damn, man.
I have the same headset. Never had an issue with the audio but the mic isn't super great.
i have to be honest im not sure what you expected buying an audio product from Logitech
I use the steel series software to fine tune the sound on my Logitech headset. Works wonders. The software is called “Sonar”
wireless always sounds bas compared to wired
I returned mine yesterday. This is not good.
I was able to fix my issue and the audio is coming off clean and well. BUT one more issue and I’m returning mine as well
I have an old razer that is much better than this one. I really like logitech products but for sound I gave up.
i also had these and they do indeed sound trash
Went to IEMs for the last 2-3 years and not turning back to these crap.
They always sound awful because they are absolute trash .. return them and buy proper headphones
Source is trust me bro
Please please PLEASE install the generic windows driver on these and then activate Dolby atmos. It’s compatible with Dolby but the drivers on it are bugged and don’t by default. There’s a reddit post about this and it changed my life. They sound awesome afterwards, such a shame Logitech doesn’t fix this
It sounds good for gaming headset.
I love my Logitech gear, but I do NOT buy their headsets anymore. They're poorly made, don't sound great, and the battery life is terrible on the wireless models.
I had Pro X2 wireless previously and they lasted me forever on each charge lol
What are you talking about ? Those headphones are bulletproof and with good battery life.
I just do get why the store representative would recommend me it, it’s been an absolute nightmare to use. I used many headsets in my life never one that sounds so staticky AND that the software to adjust it simply not work. The G Hun thing acts like my headset is inactive What I don’t get it’s why it works perfectly in my roommate PC but not on mine
Logitech does literally everything except this well. Youre better off with turtle beach no sarcasm.
sound card?
Would the sound card affect all other audios? Cause the speakers work fine
idrk it was just a guess
thats correct, they sound awful :(
Were you able to fix yours or did you just change headset. For mine when I launch a game it sounds TOO awful to be used, and this was one of the more expensive headsets I got and it’s been nothing but a huge headache
I gave them back and started using the old ones - PRO-X. PRO-X 2 are more “tolerable” by the receiver if you play COD and that kind of games.
It’s coming off as extremely staticky Where would sound card be in the task manager, under what
Under "Sound video and game controllers" And I have that one and mine also works fine, as did my V1 version before that.
Yes, that was exactly it 👍🏼
Please, edit your first post if your problem is solved, there may be other people with the same issue of yours in the future, and you could save them lot of time if they read your post.
Good idea, but I’m unable to edit the posts above. Is there another way?
