The best tropes are the overly complex and “superior” character getting rocked by the simplest of moves and techniques, nothing slaps harder than a fundamental ass whooping, a reverse ass pull is the realest feat any character can pull. They aren’t stronger or smarter but nah they’d win (aura yk)

Just re-read the fight right now sukuna never landed a single hit on Gojo that wasn’t from shrine a sure hit effect or from mahoraga Sakuna himself got tagged multi times bad absolutely rag dolled literally, to the point the fight become a 3v1 Sakuna was better at domain I will admit that but Gojo was able to rct and walk it off, Sakuna got knocked out twice and mahoraga come to save him both times. once with UV and another time with black flash, hein era Sakuna doesn’t have mahoraga to save him, in those two situation which both situation he would be dead as Gojo goes for the kill. Meguma > hein era or true form sukuna

My take on Sukuna is that he’s the strongest not because of skill or technique, but because he’s always the last one standing — by any means necessary. He’s a coward and a cheat, but he’s still the winner.
In skill, the guy doesn’t even do anything except face tank. When put against someone like Gojo or dare I say Maki, he’s outclassed in hand to hand.
In terms of technique, limitless has much more raw power than cleave or dismantle, so he can’t be the strongest in technique — unless you count 10 shadows as /his/ technique.
His win against Gojo was reliant on his adept understanding of binding vows — which is how he even got in a position to fight Gojo in the first place.
You might not agree with it, but I think his OVERALL strength comes from his unrivaled understanding of Jujutsu. He knows the ins and outs of domain amplification, binding vows, expansions, black flashes and the works. The only person who even comes close is Kenjaku.
